Nice video! I've been selling shave ice since 2001. I bought a fujimarca 709se and could never get the blade to shave consistently. Sometimes it would get clogged too. Wondering if you ever experienced that problem with yours. Now I use the Hatsuyuki block shavers and they work ok. Best of luck with your biz!!!
Do you use a scale to try to get a rough idea how much you are making in a serving??? Do you have customers 'recycle' the containers or they get to keep them?!?
Great info! Thanks for making these kinds of videos.
I am starting a shave ice shop also. I am going with the New Orleans block shaver by Snowizard.
Thank you for sharing information. It’s a true blessing to others getting started, How much do you charge for that size?

If the blade is dull or no adjusted right it has clogged but with a sharp well adjusted blade I haven’t had any issues.
What kind of maintenance do you perform on you shaver? How often you change the blades?
Yum !
How often do you sharpen or replace the blade if ever ?
I replace the blade 2 times per season
What containers do you use to make your ice, and where do you get them? Thanks!
64 oz or half gallon containers. I buy them at price container. You can purchase them on eBay and Amazon.
Do you have a link for the machine you use so I can buy one?
shaveicesupplies.com
I have a question about your flavors. What would be your most asked for flavors (probably top ten)?
Check his videos. He made one not too long ago
Is this ice good for pre made snow cups?
I’m not familiar with premade snow cups. I think the vertical block shavers make the best snow though.
How many
How many servings do you get from 1 block?
Roughly 5-10 depending upon the serving size.

I try to make them all roughly the same size we don’t weigh them. The customer keeps the cup.
