Our daughter started a shave ice cart business for a few hundred bucks as a middle school kid. She improved and improved it over the years. By her senior year of high school she sold her equipment for about the same as she had paid. We are now in Florida we are helping our son start one.
11:00 a breakdown of how a friend started their business. 13:50 they use gofundme preparing to open their first brick-mortar store. 15:30 points that Shaved Ice Scott wants us to see.
I recently bought a small shuttle bus. I'm targeting a color scheme, graphics, lighting, and music. I believe a food truck is a literal production. Studying Kona, Tikiz, and others, they draw the crowds with sight, sound and lighting. I'm building an external flavor station. Audience participation :-) I'm looking forward to this new venture.
I might have to look into it a bit more, but I don’t think the cottage food laws here in Michigan allow for this type of business without access to a commercial kitchen, but maybe I’m wrong?
What about passing food vendor inspections in your area? Wouldn't you need faucet and running water? My teens want to start this, but I certainly don't want to invest in a trailer right off the bat. This route would be great, except I feel we wouldn't pass inspection.
I want to start a snowcone business, im thinking about getting this machine :Carnival King SCM350TUB Tub-Style Sno-Cone Machine Also were do you get your syrups from, we use cordial, but we might use southern sno syrups thanks from au!
Bought a hand crank shave machine from a company in irvine ca. Its a heavy duty machine. I considered a electric shaver but learned that power is a big issue when mobile. All the other stuff is cheap. I paid about 2k just on a freezer and other equipment.
I just bought a small snow cone building that I can pull with a trailer and set up quickly. Do you think that the hand crank ice shaver you bought would be good enough for me to run a small stand with? I was looking at the fujimarca hand crank but I'm not sure. How many baseball sized snow balls can these things make in a minute? I'm on a budget so I would like to start up with a manual machine until I can afford to buy a generator to run an electric one. I think I will look at the brand you have also...I still need to get syrups, cups and all the other supplies but the shaver is my priority right now. Also, thank you so much for the reply. I'm new at this and I don't have anyone to give me any advice. God Bless.
@@fairydust-ky4oc i did a party for 39 to 40 people. It worked great. They come out as fast as you can make them, if that's an answer. Very good snow and durable machine. These machines I personally feel thry are not near as fast as the snowie brand electric but the quality is undeniable. I've tried snowie at a few spots before I bought my hatsu. Hatsu makes top snow. People love to see the old fashion crank which draws people asking questions. If you practice and get a rhythm, you can do a few in 5 minutes. Have fun
Very good webinar. Btw, you don't want to work out/exercise every day. Every other day is fine. Do that for 2 months, rest for a couple of days, then restart. If you feel to do something on the off days, just walk a mile. Thanks, again.
I watched for 5 minutes and all you have said could have been said in a sentence. " some may doubt it but you can start a shaved ice business for under 2 grand."

Im a first time snow cone maker, just wondering what machine I should consider purchasing, I don't want something super expensive or hard to use like the fujimarca, I was considering sno king kone Ice shaver but I don't know if its a good starting machine, also what was your first machine and where did you buy it?
All solid points, a nice story to show how to be successful with starting a small business - BUT this video is basically an advertisement for the "Shave Ice Academy" that this guy is trying to sell to ppl. I totally understand it, but as I'm trying to budget things I can probably figure all of this out by research + asking questions to a few people I personally know who own a business. The ONE thing I do wish I had was a mentor from someone who grew up around an authentic Hawaiian shaved ice business. A mentor who understands how to really do things with something, who has something like a family recipe. (not saying this guy doesn't know what he's doing, but as he said, he also came into the business as an entrepreneur. I'm searching for the true authentic Hawaiian feel.
Doesn't mean you can't start under 2k. It just means you bought a new machine. You can start with a tent, rented machine and buy the remaining equipment.
Did you really say "sit home and collect the government checks"??? Incredibly rude and insensitive - also, politically shameful. Sorry, I don't appreciate anyone who disrespects people.
Just inherited 17k. I want to start my own business. This is it
Do it! God bless 😊

Hey Scott I am starting a shaved ice business. What permits would I need? Cottage food, food permit? Could you help?
Likely a mobile food permit. It depends on the sate you are in and the local county. Check with them and they'll give you specific info for your area.
@@ScoMoBiz Thank you!
So its actually a $1400 shave ice business. Or is it a $2600 shave ice business?
Is that shaved ice parked in Clermont, FL? I recognize it from driving past!

I started with a Great Northern Popcorn Snow cub that I bought on Amazon: a.co/d/e88AfZu
I just bought a shave ice machine . Motivated and got a plan but not sure on where to find a break down of laws and requirements to sell legally .
Start with your city & county. you'll likely need something like an open air permit or a mobile food vending permit.
Can anyone think of pros and cons of starting a shaved ice truck or shop in Thailand?
If you can find in-country vendors for your supplies, i don't see why it wouldn't work.

Its Florida. Being homeless is basically illegal. Just as right wing Jesus intended.
The truth hurts. Way too many people would rather sit home waiting on a check.
So...Now we know that you sit at home on TH-cam all day waiting on your welfare check...
Are you saying that's not a reality .....cause it is, also no one cares 👋 ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
