This is the official Diecast Emporium review of the Diecast Masters 49X Tandem Axle Heavy Haul Tractor in Green (27009) with the Tridem Lowboy Trailer (27008). Some of the RC functions of the trailer include a powered gooseneck (ability to raise and lower the trailer), lights and sound functions, manually operated loading ramps, and most impressively, the ability to haul a heavy load, such as the Diecast Cat 330 RC Excavator seen in the video. Both of these models are 1:16 Scale and available now from Diecast Masters and DMA. A separate demonstration-style video can be found at the link provided below.

You need to block the trailer to raise it up to pull the truck away. The king pin was catching the rear cross member frame on the tractor. Yes that's what real lowboy haulers do. Also that particular lowboy is actually called a RGN, Removable GooseNeck. One other item, real RGN's have a pony motor(lawn mower engine) located in the gooseneck. It is used to power the gooseneck up and down to lower the gooseneck to detach from the deck. It us also used to detach from the tractor. It sets the deck on the ground and then raises the neck up so the tractor can pull away from the gooseneck. Some real heavy haul drivers will block the deck up so the hydraulics don't have to extend all the way out to raise the neck up as high. That might be a little hard to understand. I'm sure there are videos on TH-cam of a driver showing the procedure of an RGN trailer, which might explain it easier.
I would love to have both, but definitely couldn't afford them! Great review.

You're better off building a Tamyia save the money an invest in a better quality RC truck I wasted my money buying this truck was severely disappointed with the steering servo and the front axles very cheaply made

The only issue with Tamiya is the fact that you have to spend a LOT more money just to complete the kit. You habe to spend extra on:
      A remote control
      Paint and primer
      A sound kit(which costs about 430)
& All of theat is On top of a battery and charger...
This looks like a solid(but flawed) RTR truck that comes with everything at a price that's somewhat higher than a regular tamiya kit.
Tbh i wish that Tamiya offered RTR models with their respective colors. They would corner the market even more if they did! Not everybody has the time nor space to build a kit nor the patience to sit thru a series of TH-cam videos just to complete it fully 😐😐😐😐

@@wolfboy20 $400 for this truck. If you see how cheaply this thing is made you'll see why I say you're better off investing into Tamiya I literally used it twice before it broke repaired. It trying to use its original parts. It worked again then it broke in the same spot. Now I have to modify the whole front end and steering just to get it to work. It's been sitting collecting dust so for 400 bucks out of my pocket I was better off saving and using that for the $1,000 kit on the other. More expensive, better quality RC truck

@@russianthemechanic1527 Well i guess that thats a good argument but like i said, its one of a few RTR trucks on the market that seems solid but need major refinement for their next version. I wish that Tamiya could release RTR trucks of their own
