Finding out Part 8 Kira's identity through going to a shop and tracing a piece of clothing belonging to him might have even been a parallel to how Part 4 Kira was found when Jotaro and Koichi tracked a button from his coat to a shop.
Personally I feel like Josuke's invisible soap bubbles in the final fight is a callback to Part 4 Kira using Stray Cat's invisible air bubbles in the final fight.
Then again Caesar also used bubbles in Part 2 and Josefumi's ability was also bubbles just like Part 8 Kira so Araki might just like bubbles.

Not really sure if it counts as a callback per se but one parallel that I found between both parts is that Josuke Highashikata and Yasuho Hirose both have Stands named after Prince songs similar to how Josuke Higashikata and Koichi Hirose had Stands named after Pink Floyd songs in DIU
Not a paralell between universes, but still a paralell: as Josuke and Yasuho have stands named after PRINCE songs, Kira have Killer QUEEN, while all the stands of the Higashikata family have the word KING on their names. Plus, Tooru's stand is named after a song by Elvis Presley - which is know as the KING of ROCK.

Another thing to mention is that Kira is the counterpart to Jotaro, seeing as their mother is Holly and their job is related to the sea (Marine Biologist and Cargo Ship Doctor). They also share personalities, with both having an ‘I don’t give a shit’ attitude.
Kira’s hair is also not blonde like the original Kira’s, and is a darker colour, which connects him even more to Jotaro

I would also like to add how Gappy's eye rock is a callback to Baoh's eye.
It's also a callback for Jotaro losing this exact eye everytime he dies (first explosion, when whitesnake took his discs and... You know....)

I also started in 2019. I did have a phase where I wished that I started in 2017 so that I can be hyped for the part 5 anime because both 5 and 6 are similar in artstyle, and that I felt that I'd be old enough to be intrigued and not try to spoil myself to the story.
But, I got over that, and also I'm fine with part 6 being my first anime part. Plus, still lived with the jojolion era. ;)

Exact same as me, started getting into the series in 2019, binged watched all of the anime and after watching part 5 I couldn’t get enough of it, it was like hitting gold, so started reading the manga even though I was hesitant at first because I didn’t wanna be spoiled but got over it quickly and eventually caught up to the monthly releases of jojolion… man what an adventure part 8 was.
Was it just me that thought Urban Guerilla and Doremifasolati Do were a callback to Cioccolata and Secco? Urban Guerilla was a doctor with a virus-like stand that dissolved its target, just like Cioccolata’s Green Day, which dissolved its targets with a fungus, and Doremifasolati Do was an animal-like being that could move through the soil as if it were liquid, just like Secco, who acted like an animal and could actually turn the soil into a liquid.
I didn't even think about that, but now that you mention it, it makes sense.

King Nothing's ability is almost similiar to Moody Blues. Being a non-combat Stand and can rewind the event. While Moody Blues is using time, King Nothing is using scent.

You missed one; in chapter 103 of JoJolion, the Head Doctor says the line, “So, are you going to approach, Josuke? Approach ME?” This is an obvious callback to the infamous line DIO says in part 3, “Oh? Are you approaching me?”

Tooru shares many simmilarities with Kars.
Wonder of U's blade arms are simillar to Kars' (and Baoh's) blade arms.

You missed the fact that in Wonder of U's introduction, while he is in his fully robotic form, he is briefly seen having arm blades similar to Kars and Baoh.
Also, the beetle fight between Josuke and Jobin is reminiscent of the gambling battles in Parts 3, 4, and 6.
And Hato using Walking Heart to walk up the walls during the Damo fight is probably referencing Dio's famous wall-walking scene from Part 1.
Oh, and the Rock Humans are pretty much just the AU Pillar Men.

i'd love to see a video of you analyzing The Wonder of You arc's themes and ideas, similar to your Heaven Plan video. it's one of my new favorite jojo arcs for sure
The theme of the fight is interesting, but due to Tooru's ability being reactive, it gets repetitive very fast.
Also, unlike most fights in jojo, Tooru is not defeated by being outsmarted, but by Josukes spinning bubble just being stronger.

In part 3 Jotaro's stand is literally weaker than The World and he had to use it more efficiently to beat DIO.
In part 4 Josuke has to use his ability to its maximum extent to beat KQ.
In part 5, Giorno transformed his blood on the arrow into termites to get the stand arrow.
In part 7, Johnny made the horse kick him in order to use the Golden ratio.

i know this is supposed to be disconnected from the alter universe from the ending of part 6, but... remember you said how the joestar bloodline wasnt anymore fated to fight evil and such in that new universe? it kind of reminds me... that so far these two new protagonists werent called by destiny to fight evil or something, none came to them, none attacked them, jhonny joined the steel ball run and unraveled later on the secrets of the race because he wanted to, he chose to, yes he wanted to follow gyro but to learn of the spin to overcome his crippled state. and josuke wanted to discover his identity, josuke just chose to discover the truths of himself and the world around him, and even josefumi just chose to help kira with his idea of stealing a rokakaka, kira planned that because his mother was ill, not because he wanted to fight some kind of evil in the first place, the idea of fighting an evil becomes a little more secondary as the identities and how their main characters choose to live becomes prior. that has given these last twos part such a personal, humaine feel to them that is unexpectable as ourselves human beings at our core best.

In Sleeping Slaves it was stated that the fate decided the meeting between Bruno and Giorno (originally it wasn't supposed to be like that, but Mista changed it) as well as the fate of the gang, and because we know the gang died the way they did and why they did it (helping Bruno and Giorno to defeat Diavolo), you can say it was destiny (even if Giorno choosed his goal without knowing about it).
@@starless267 It's true that he choosed to follow that path, but that just happened because he met Bruno, and the same with him, he only went against Diavolo because he met Giorno.
The epilogue showed that the fate made that meeting possible. If Bruno didn't met Giorno then Diavolo could kill him in the church (cause even if Polpo were alive, he would give the Trish task to Bruno anyways) and that alone fulfills the first "prophecy" of the rock (where only Bucciarati died); but 2nd "prophecy" shows the rest of the gang dead (except Fugo and Mista), and that JUST happened because Giorno was there to help Bruno to stay alive as long as possible to found the plan of Diavolo.

i feel like Josefumi getting his name from a sandal that Joseph discarded could call back to how Josuke got his hairstyle. Both got their identity from acts of kindness of some sort, even if it's not directly connected to Josefumi it's still something to think about
I think the better parallel is how Josefumi makes it his life's mission to save Holly. Both characters shape their lives around someone who saved them as a child.
at 1:26 you can see johnny and gyro's hats
On major one to add would be how the blue hawai fight is a close match the highway star fight from part 4
On the is debatable is the rock humans. Many tied them to the pillar men which is fair, but the group structure and functions closely resemble passion from part 5. Both deal in a "drug" trade, and both have two major groups with a hidden leader at the top. Assasin, guard, and diavolo for part 5 with the fruit trade, hospital staff, and toru for part 8. One could even say the wonder of u fight is close to silver chariot requiem as both were stands you could not approach without consequences.

"Wonder of U" is a reference to Elvis Presley's "The Wonder of You". But I also thought it might have been a reference to Judgement's signature phrase "HAIL 2 U!" Because of the way it's spelled with a "U" instead of a "You".
Of course, this could just be a stretch on my part, and it's just a coincidence.
It's probably more likely a Prince reference because Prince song names also used "U" instead of "You".
It's so cool to see what's similar between the two universes, while also seeing and enjoying how much original stuff there is! I loved this part!
Kato's hairstyle was quite reminiscent to Jolyne's, ontop of her being imprisoned in the Stone Ocean prison.
My headcanon for this universe's Rohan is that he's a no good delinquent this time.
I still find it odd how there's a Speedwagon Foundation in the SBRverse.
Speedwagon is so Alpha that he becomes a millionaire in every universe and dimension

Also, Hazekura high school/elementary school at the end of Shakedown Road seems to be a reference to Mikitaka's surname from part 4.
Mamezuku's stand ability it's very similar to Mountain Tim stand, 'Oh! Lonesome Me'.

I actually think that SBR has less references to the original universe than JJL, considering that JJL's plot is more centered around the family, Kira, and Killer Queen, those aspects from the original series are more present in the way the story unfolds, where outside of High Voltage, SBR has hardly anything in common with the 1st series parts it draws from outside of names, and I suppose Diego, not that I'm complaining, it's very refreshing that they stay nearly entirely as callbacks and don't interfere with the entirely new series in any huge way.
Holly writing information on her body to remember things about her life is similiar to Jolyne writing information on her body during the Jail House Lock fight

Jojolion was amazing. love jojo fully and it will always stay as my favourite anime/manga. So excited to see what araki has for us next

Something I noticed is that Norisuke has many similarities with Yuya Funagami from part 4 like the ability of King Nothing who is a long distance Stand with little physical power, his ability to track specific odors and in a chapter (I don't remember which one) Kato mentions that when Norisuke is nervous he touches his chin just like Yuya Funagami did in the Enigma Boy arc.
Great video. One callback I don’t see referenced a lot is the Urban Guerrilla/Doremefasolatido fight being very similar to Cioccolatta/Secco. A doctor with a virus stand that eats away flesh and a animal that can swim through the ground.

I think Haruno's disappearance is a callback to Fugo's disappearance. Also, they both have really high IQs and similar attitudes. Haruno has gotta be this universe's Fugo.

The dolomite fight plays out similar to the highway star (stand that can chase from distance, jouske gets help from koichi/yashuo, tracks the user down)
Yashuo also remind me a bit of trish, pink hair, connected to the main villain (tooru/diavolo) both their stands manifest independently and help fight against a long range stand that is seemingly unstoppable (born this way/notorious BIG)
Those are a couple that ive seen, i might be reaching tho
1:25 there is also Johnny's hat, Gyro's hat, and I believe the baseball cap under Jotaro's hat may be a reference to Emporio
The idea of Rock Humans being an alternate branch of humanoid lifeforms separate from humans is similar to that of Pillar Men from part 2

Flashback man was retconned. Jouske says no memories from before his birth will ever come back. Flashback man was clearly presented as jouske having a previous memory come back to him. Araki changed what he wanted to do with the story

@@yesme5470 Josefumi is not a Joestar. The panel where he has the Joestars' birthmark was mistake, infact in the most recent volmume releases the birthmark has been removed. Also it was really clear in the story that he was not a Joestar as when we saw him as a kid in the chapter where he almost drowns in the sea, he has no birthmark. And the end of the Fumi's flashback remarked even more that Josefumi is not a Joestar

i've always said that the "combination" of josefumi and kira its also a subtle reference to part 4 , because while in that part the combination between kira's stand and stray cats power enables killer queen to use bubbles has attacks , in jojolion its the combination of kira with josefumi ,a person who doesnt have a father or mother figure , resulting in kira and holly being the only ones that showed him some kind of care , thus making josefumi some kind of "stray cat" the result on "soft and wet" being an interesting parallel of the things that fusion (while in DIU its only the stands the ones that merge , in jojolion its the characters resembling the stands of DIU the ones to do so , thus repercuting in the abilites of soft and wet
