I was a stay at Home mom with no money in my IRA or any savings of my own, which was scary at 53 years of age. Three years ago I got a part time job and save everything I make. After 3 years, I am 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Stephanie Janis Stiefel. Since the goal of getting a job was to invest for retirement and NOT up my lifestyle, I was able to scale this quickly to $150,000. If I can do this in a year, anyone can.

Stephanie Janis Stiefel has demonstrated expertise in investment strategies and has been involved in managing portfolios and providing guidance to clients.
Stephanie Janis Stiefel hooked me up with a late-stage fund that got me in on private shares of some hot companies before they hit the market or blew up. Those investments totally paid off when the companies went public and their stocks shot up. Now, I'm stoked because I'm heading into retirement with almost a million bucks in my portfolio.
Stephanie Janis Stiefel has really set the standard for others to follow, we love her here in Canada 🇨🇦 as she has been really helpful and changed lots of life's
I think I know who the caller from the pet franchise talked to. It's a company that encourages people to go into debt and start a franchise business. Do not do it. Trust your gut and do not take out huge huge loans because of a sales pitch. Be strong. Start your own business if you want, on the side, while you earn an income. Debt is never the answer.
Years ago, I stayed at my Aunts house she told me that we had to pay for any food that we ate each cookie was .50 cents! We left and stayed at a hotel 😀
I had an aunt like that. Back in the mid to late 80s we did not have a TV. (We were kids under 10yo) She used to charge my sister and I 10 cents to watch TV 😂
Matt, thank you for your service, sir. You sound like you need this bit of verbal affirmation. Enjoy the real estate your family left you to benefit from.

Tracy, the Executor has to do what the will states. Do not walk away - you may regret it later. You can INSIST that the house and assets be sold. (Or they can buy you out.)
My grandmother passed away 15 years ago (2009) and my uncle still hasn’t executed her will. My dad doesn’t want to rock the boat, so he refuses to take legal action, but we’re pretty sure her bank accounts have been wiped clean and they’re sitting on a piece of land that is worth at least $5M 🤦♀️
The only time I could even think of a guest paying for anything is if they request a fancy, borderline-gourmet meal that I can't afford to buy the ingredients for and saying "The only way that I could do that is if you bought the ingredients because I really can't add that to my budget right now". And even that might be more of a joke than serious unless they took you up on it. SO WEIRD!
My mom says it's usually the spouses of the inheriting adult kids who instigate fights. They're not emotionally attached to anyone but their spouse, so there's no disincentive. When my dad's dad died, he willed each of his kid's spouses $1k. Then the rest was divided. In a way, it was "you stay out of it money." My dad and his siblings are also not the kind to fight and to respect each other and their dad, so it all worked out. But my parents are planning ahead like this too and we kids are on board with it.
@@jenniferpearce1052nah people fight over this stuff all the time. Sibling fights over personal items and especially childhood homes can get vicious. My dad was about to throw down with his parents when he found out they were selling his childhood home. I can only imagine what would happen if they'd died there and my dad and his sisters had different opinions on what to do
Did I understand Dave correctly on the first call? When this couple marries and combines their finances and assets he is automatically half owner of her home? If the marriage does not work out is he then entitled to proceeds from the house?
@janise01 depends on the area. Where I live, Dave is 100% correct. The "matrimonial home" is 50/50 even if bought before marriage and the non owner doesn't have to be on the deed or anything. In other places, the non-owner can get a portion of the home if they help pay the mortgage or renovations

For Paige, I don't think she's making them buy stuff. I feel like she's just asking them to pick up stuff, if they can. When my mom comes to visit me, she brings stuff for my house.
Right. I doubt she's forcing them to buy food for all their meals or something ridiculous. What probably happened is one of both of the parents was going to the store and Paige or her husband asked them to pick up some incidentals for dinner or something. When I've visited family there's been a couple times when the plan was to have one thing but we all decided something else sounded better so I pitched in a few dollars or picked up a couple items. It wasn't unusual and I didn't give it a second thought. I figured that happens pretty frequently when a guest is staying for more than a day or so and isn't a big deal. I could be wrong and to his defense Dave couldn't ask questions to get clarity but IMO he jumped to a conclusion that isn't the most likely scenario based on the letter.
