He he :) it is because I have no one else to talk about sewing, so all this energy and excitement gets "spilled" on camera :) thank you so so much for watching
Very beautiful apron. You cannot find such a beautiful apron to purchase. Your daughter has gotten tall. And now I know why you do such beautiful work. You’re an artist.
@@ThoughtfulCreativity you are so welcome! I have limited fabric and no sewing machine but I love watching you and thinking of what I might make when I have both again.
I love this scrap fabric series. When I was young I had an obsession with scrap bins, I ended up with lots of small bits of amazing looking "unusable" fabric. I've been thinking about cards but could never think how to make it tidy. This idea is perfect. Thanks.
Kathryn, I still have this obsession, he he lol 😂 and I think I am passing it on to my daughter, because she too looooooove fabric scraps. Cards are fun like that! When I was in high school I did the same thing but I also embroidered little flowers that went on a card :)
I love working with them too, it is like a brain twist, the only thing I dislike is when fabric scraps pile up :) but on a bright side - it is a sign that they have to be used :)
THANK YOU so much. You have restored my faith in my sewing. I stopped sewing to raise my family and now have the time but forgot the details of it all. I tried making a top via a Butterick pattern that included size 6-18. Oh boy, messed it up twice and threw away. I watched your videos and now back to seeing up a storm.
You are basically a teacher. The small things that look hard are really easy. My mom loves those hair things. So I know what make for her birthday in November. Loved this video & tutorial. I'm so glad I came across this channel. Thanks alot🙂🙂
I made nightgowns (6-8) for my granddaughter and had scraps that I ended up making 2 more nightgowns. The 2 patchwork/quilt-like ones are her favorites. Love all ur ideas and videos
The apron is beautiful. It's so bright and colorful. It brightens up a kitchen on sometimes not so happy chores. I'm going to have to make the towel wrap, I have longer hair than yours so I will have to make it a big longer but I love the idea.
You are so pleasant to watch and listen to! I'm looking for easy but desirable items to make for the local 2024 Fall County Fair. It has a 10 day stretch, and we are not in an affluent area. I'll be watching your channel for ideas! I am a retired professional dressmaker who tends to over complicate my projects! Perhaps you can continue this type of content! Plus, I never heard of the Dress a Girl Around the World project. Please give me more information about this! ❤❤❤
Hello there, Karen Leanne, so great to have you here! I have dozens of videos with ideas of what to sew and sell, as well as videos for Project Dress A Girl - just look around my channel (click on my channel name and you will see all videos) and have fun :)
@ThoughtfulCreativity I just whipped up a batch of those wrist pouches with a slight personalization of construction! May I make a suggestion- when sewing a firm fabric, such as a zipper tape to a slippery or stretch, have the firmer layer on top. That way it doesn't scoot as you sew! Anyway, I think this would be a great $5 item for the fair!
I absolutely love these scrap videos. I dont have any scraps bc right now I just mend items that either need to be taken in or a seam ripped or patching a hole. Just trying to extend the life of garments we already have. But I do have a deep desire to actually make something. That is so exciting to me and I love all your beginner videos. And when I start sewing things I'll get a scrap pile and that's when these videos will be super helpful to me.
The apron reminded me that my grandmother used to make me aprons that had a casing on each side so when you put it over your head, you can adjust the fitting every time you wear it. I think I will make one like that for myself :). She used bias tape, folded and sewn together for the strings.
Love the pants at the beginning, just seen this video so gonna have a nosey through your others to see if I can find the pants, I'm new to sewing so not made too much yet xxx thanks for sharing xxx
I love your channel. You are so natural on camera. I love love the beige sweater with the lace scarf sleeves. You are petite, so am I but I'm a little Heavier than you. I Like your style. Keep up the good Ideas.
When I'm making bags, I crumb quilt the smaller bits together for pocket linings and stabilizer sleeves. I can make each one unique and use up the bits all in one go. With knits, once I run out of underwear and scrunchie sized bits I cut the bits even smaller and mix them with polyfil for pillow and cushion filling.
Your ideas are always great and I love a whole new set in this video. I especially like the project of making cards using fabric scraps - I never would have thought of that but I love love love that idea and have everything needed to make a bunch.
Those green palazzo pants? Here's the video of drafting and sewing them - th-cam.com/video/mlkre-RPTlg/w-d-xo.html
