Lyrics:
It's coming round again
The slowly creeping hand
Of time and its command
Soon enough it comes
And settles in its place
Its shadow in my face
Puts pressure in my day
This life well its slipping right through my hands
These days turned out nothing like I had planned
It's coming round again
The slowly creeping hand
Of time and its demands
It settles in its place
Its shadow in my face
Undignified and lame
This life well its slipping right through my hands
These days turned out nothing like I had planned
Control well its slipping right through my hands
These days turned out nothing like I had planned
Soon enough it comes
Soon enough it comes
To tie us down

powder finger would be one of the best bands ever .you can never get tired of hearing there albums. i went to there adelaide concert with feature band jet it was by far the best concert ever
+Adam Hameister saw same tourin Brisbane.was really good
This song is definitely getting played at my funeral, weird though anyone else feel like it has that new "beginning feel" to it. Like kinda when you've had a shit last couple days and yet you realize you have a new one tomorrow to start all over again.
Bernard life sucks I’ve never found my man it’s to late now , I want to go to Heaven instead of get married this age
How has this not had more views? This is the best version of this song I have ever heard...
I think their finsl concert version for me!
This was their last song at their final concert in Brisbane. So Emotional. As a band, they had achieved what they set out to achieve. Artistically, they had nothing left to say. This is their best song, and this is the best version of it I have ever heard. It sounds its sweetest live. Live music forever!
can someone please tell these guys to promote themselves in the states.!?! gotta a U2 TYPE SOUND TO IT, I LIKE IT. found it on accident, but lovin them!
Saw them in Melbourne on Friday night. I love ballad of a dead man. Easily one of their best. Such an emotive and powerful finish to the song. I wish they'd release it as a single.
Awesome sound and picture quality. Thanks for posting this Carla. You guys over in South America really have a taste for Aussie music. If i was a musician i'd be touring your beautiful country tooooooooooooooo ; ))))))))
These two bands were so underated overseas, but they will always be legends in australia
I'm 13 and I grew up listening to these guys p.s. their underrated oversease
i often come back to this clip, when i need to just think of nothing and want to have some sheer blissful music to listen too....Jan 21 2020
this song is my life. this song means everything to me ..
i can honestly say i would have no idea where to purchase their cd's around here. i ebay'd the last one. i didnt even buy it off the website they had at the time, because it was going by a different currency.
oh fuck... thanks Jobe..... love u
i had no idea. i just recently purchased the greatest hits cd off line and love it! i found them on accident because i googled my son's name (caydon) .. just to see if anyone else spelled it the same way. it took me back to myspace with a kid with the name, and he was at a pf concert. i was like "what's that?" so i youtubed them and loved them, then i bought their cd a few weeks later. the new stuff by "Hanson" (the mmmbop kids) also is similar and just as good, but struggling to make it.
Hey! Well, thanks! I'm glad you've enjoyed the videos.
Take good care and keep radiating that good vibe.
Hug! :)
i went to their adelaide show with silverchair. Powderfinger are simply awesome i love them! i wish that i could hear them play "ballad of a dead man" live. cheers for posting this
reconcilliation-- better named-" stubbornness is a enemy- in all- both sides-"!
i love this song.... just the synth intro just like the odyssey number five version.. it just has that feeling that makes you feel every emotion at once
would have to be the best one of the best aussie bands ever. right up there with the ACDC's, Cold Chisel's F?@KING GREAT
Nunca pude comprar este disco :( y es buenisimo, en internet encontré solo la parte de Silverchair, El de Power y el making off por ningun lado :(
thanks for posting, it's hard to find a non-unplugged live version of this song. Don't get me wrong, the unplugged versions are nice too. Can't wait to see them live for the last time in a few months.
a massive loss to the music industry. That powderfinger wont be contributing to it anymore :(
Best band ever. They better come back one day🤞🤟
I'm sorry about your friend.
It's a good song to remember him, though.
Warm hug.

Best aussie song of All time imo
you're kidding right...?
PF have been trying to get into the US market for a while now with an increasing fan base there. Last album released in the US about a month ago. Currently writing and recording their next album. Word up the band on all of their internet sites...but make sure you let them come back home. A BIG 'thank you' for sharing this... I was there that night sitting practically up on the roof but the visuals were AMAZING from up there - this song took everyone's breath away.
Give the world the finger
