What a delightful journey you have taken us. My ancestors were Scottish. They made their way to New Zealand, and three generations later, I was born in beautiful New Zealand. Maybe one day I will visit Scotland.
@@denisemilne1330 A lot of Scots migrated to New Zealand
I migrated from Scotland to NZ in 1989, I love Scotland but NZ has let me enjoy both beautiful scenery and warm weather.
Thank you for taking us with you to a little piece of heaven! I love how you see the beauty in nature and use it to “paint” a beautiful blanket with wool! I thank you and your husband for sharing your beautiful country with us. I hope you are mending quickly from your fall and are feeling better. 🍁🍂🍁
@@maryannpacheco4591 I was happy to share it with you. I’m all better, thank you.
Thank you so much for having me in these walks with you Marion.
I live in Porto, Portugal so not likely will I ever visit these places so being able to see it with you was a gift.
Now off to buy the pattern because I've been admiring your blanket for a very long time.❤
Thank you Marion for taking us along with you on your trip to Blair Atholl and the castle. It was lovely to see the inspiration for your beautiful blanket and the surrounding countryside. Look forward to your next vlog
Thank you for this marvellous tour! I live in Australia and have just finished making your beautiful blanket (just have the envelope border to go. I live in the Macedon Ranges in Victoria that boasts some autumn colour but we are heading out of spring into summer. You inspire me to design a blanket that reflects the colours of my home! Thank you for your generous content and crochet designs.
You’re welcome. I think it’s a wonderful idea to use the natural colours of your home. Everywhere is different. I’d love to see it!
Your videos brought back lovely memories for me about my trip to Blair Atholl in 2017. We stayed 4 days at the Ptarmigan House down a little lane right in the village. It was a B&B and so lovely and cozy and friendly hosts. The area was my favorite place in that trip for 3 weeks in Scotland. Thanks for the memories.
@@manikki100 You’re welcome. Glad you liked our favourite place too!
Hello Marion, and thank you for the beautiful walking tour of Blair Atholl. It's a gorgeous spot! I'm intrigued by your wonderful ability to adeptly incorporate nature's colors into your crocheted blankets. The colors are everything; a feast for my eyes. Your clear, understandable way of speaking is a pleasure to my ears as well. Thank you for the joy you brought to my Sunday morning here in Denver, Colorado, USA.❤️💕
Thank you too!
Love your video. We were there last year. So different to where we live in Brisbane Australia. We hope to visit again soon. I had to laugh, my husband walks ahead but keeps checking on me, I'm one for have an unexpected trip also. Hubby often takes my hand on uneven tracks, saying, you'll fall, I need you to hold my hand.😅 thank you for sharing your short stay trips and all. ❤
Lovely vlog thank you so much. Happy crafting. 🧶
I enjoyed this video while crocheting! the blanket very much. The colors are so well done chosen. My husband and I have been there, but so long ago I don’t remember clearly. Thank you for taken us on your Autumn break. And now I have to crochet backwards because I made a small mistake being distracted by all that beauty 🙈😄….
@@ellalang Oh dear, hope you don’t have too much to unpick!
@@Woolthreadpaintnot too much, half a row….I have trained myself to check the row before moving on to the next one, otherwise you’ll be 2 rows further before you realize you did only 1 treble instead of 2….. (you warned about it 👍, nevertheless it happened a few times in the first rows)
Thank you for this. My husband and I decided we would travel via the internet so this was a wonderful little trip for us. Your crochet blank is beautiful and reflects all the colors I saw in Blair Atholl. Well done! from America!
Thank you. I’m glad you both enjoyed the trip to Blair Atholl.
Beautiful blanket!!!!! 🤩✨👌💕
This was great! I felt like I was there on that walk with you. I made this blanket early this year and it’s one of my favorites. I love your patterns, and your videos, thank you so much.
Stunning. And you had such nice weather.
Absolutely beautiful 💜💜💜

Très beau reportage, la nature est magnifique. Merci du partage !
@@hawaiki689 You’re welcome!
Hello Marion, I’ve just got round to watching this vlog; thank you so much for sharing it with us. I love to know the stories behind one’s design and I could see this very clearly and love all the colours you’ve used. I really enjoyed ‘walking’ it with you
Although in UK we are quite a long way away at 447 miles (in Bristol). So whether we will ever get that far north I don’t know though we managed Skye back in 2014 so you never know (we are of course ten years older now so driving those distances are more challenging for us). I love the texture of the stitch you’ve used in this blanket; I’m gonna look that one up and try it out 🧶😊.
I love all of your blankets but I might well ask for a couple of patterns including this one for Christmas. Thank you again.
Loved your video tour❤ The blanket colors match the scenery perfectly! Love pipers! Thank you❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
That was lovely i ve had many holiday camping caravanning in Pitlochry at faskally park hope you ve recovered from ur fall x we ve been away to Eyemouth a lot this year to our caravan as hubby is on long term sick with mobility issues it’s been lovely beside the sea
Thank you so much for the wonderful tour!! I hope you recovered well from your fall. I appreciate being able to see Scotland so very much. It’s nice to see the story behind the blanket also. You explain things well and working on your pattern is the most fun I’ve had making a blanket. Thank you for sharing your talent . You have a wonderful gift!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for this lovely blog. Scotland sure is magnificent!
It really is!
Thank you so very much Marion. I absolutely loved this, seeing the beautiful Scotland. 🏴 my wish is to visit in the next year or two. My great grandmother was born in Arbroath and I’d love to take a look at where she came from. My dearest Mum of 92, passed away on 14 September this year and I think this is where I may take a holiday to heal and remember my Mum/best friend. I love the colours on your lovely walk and hope you recovered from your fall.
On my to do list is definitely one of your beautiful blankets.
Thank you again for a lovely Vlog. From Ellen of Western Australia 🇦🇺 🩷🧶🧶🧶☕️
@@ellenpreston4381 You’re so welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed it and hope you do manage to visit my country sometime. By the way, I grew up just ten miles from Arbroath!
@@Woolthreadpaint oh wow did you. Well I must make the holiday happen then for sure. Thank you for your kind reply. 🙂🧶
Beautiful blanket and scenery.. and thanks too for listing the colors for BA on your blog.
