      i really wish you could recreate "Folding Space" in this program, i dunno if they have all the modules for free for it; but i'd pay 5$ for an infinite run of that mix. helps having something non-intrusive in the background while i'm forced to do every aspect of life from home.

    This is a beautiful patch State Azure! - just wanted to check if you are familiar with the track settings in the MM mixer (right click the editable track labels to access track settings menu). You can set input gain and add High Pass and Low Pass Filters on every track and add fade automations which would make those manual fade ins you are doing easier. With fades turned on, the mute buttons become fade buttons and you can leave the fader in it's 'final' position and set fade in/out time from 0.1 to 30s and set the fade curve (log/lin/exp). There is also a stereo width control for stereo tracks (you can go down to mono or up to 200%).

    • @stateazure
      @stateazure  3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Thank you, Steve! Great work on that mixer, I love it. Really appreciate those tips, especially for the fades, that will definitely come in handy in the future!

      There are loads of patches at patchstorage.com/platform/vcv-rack/ - well worth looking through - these will help anyone interested learn the technical side and techniques used.
      I note in the above patch that 3 sample players are being used - this is not that unusual - but shows the depth of preparation that is needed to produce this genre - typically samples are used for Pad/Drone/Beds etc.
      VCV is highly addictive - and you can spend hours just deriving into a single module - learning every aspect.
