- For those of a certain age, the phrase "Can he do it on a rainy day in Stoke?" has become somewhat synonymous with Tony Pulis' infamous #StokeCity side from the late 2000s. The veteran Welshman galvanised his troops to the point where, when teams visited the then Britannia Stadium, Stoke rarely believed that they'd lose.

Bin a stoke season ticket holder since I was 11 and I’m now 47 ! , Pulis is king and the greatest manager in my time and always will be. To get to go to a fa cup final and sing abide with me with me owd man next to me is something I’ll always be grateful for, and we couldn’t make the fa cup final when there was only 12 clubs in it ! We played some brilliant football under Tony and the other clubs really shit it when they had to face us! Best signing for me was big Mama Sidibie then fuller , whelan, Walters , shawcross!, thanks Tony👍
Great times, those first two years, every home game was like a cup final ....he threw himself into the area as a whole, not just the club. It's been a tough 3-4 years ....but finally with Micheal O'Neill I'm feeling optimistic again, seems like we have a group of players that are together (just like that Pulis side)
