    I bought the QC45's right after Christmas, just returned them for 700's. The 45's were great, except had major sound leakage. People around me were both distracted and somewhat annoyed. The 700's seem to be much better. This is an aspect that no one seems to mention in reviews.

      cheers mate was desperatly trying to find more reviews about sound leakage since i work at a office with my coworkers not too far from me. is it still noticable at a decend audio level or can you comfartably put music a bit louder without anyone noticing ?

      @@MacMadnessx I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video. I started placing sound leakage in my newer videos and all sound tests going forward. The Bose QC45 headphones do not do well with sound leakage. That’s one of the few faults with them. The Bose 700 headphones handle sound leakage pretty good. At 50% volume the QC45 headphones leak a lot… You really can’t hear the Bose 700 headphones at 50%. Hope this helps and don’t be a stranger!

      @@MacMadnessx 700's have very little leakage. The folks that told me the QC45s were leaking haven't said a word about the 700s. They are awesome!

    I have finally brought qc45 after long dilemma between purchasing Sony wh1000xm4 or Bose qc 45 …. Believe me qc45 is all you need and more than that ..you name it whether the call quality ,Noice cancellation. And the music 🎶 in it is just fantabulous and deliciously served to ears…very wide sound stage ,deep bass, and clarity of vocals is just ❤️… it’s a king in headphones market in 2022 according to me

      The QC45 headphones are a great pair of headphones! Especially since they have been updated with a EQ and better noise cancellation. One of the best in the market. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and share your thoughts!

    The QC45s have gotten a huge update back in February brining an equalizer to the app for them and also a really impressive update to the ANC which is now better than the 700s and the Sony XM4s and I saw one comparison between the QC45s and XM5s and it kinda beats the XM5s as well surprisingly.
    The QC45s do sound better than the 700s or the Sony headphones, which have way too much bass. The QC45s have clearer highs and mids and a slightly tighter bass. To me and other audiophiles it sounds better even than the AirPods max, but then again, not everyone is an audiophile and knows what music should sound like but I know that sound is subjective because in reality most people like a ton of bass and a V shaped sound signature which either the Sony headphones or the Sennheisers or AirPods Max have to please the masses.
    Bose doesn’t try to please the masses with the QC45, they just made the most music accurate sounding and most comfortable ANC headphones money can buy.
    If you want more bass or a more V shaped sound signature or ear pads that burn your ears after 30 min of usage then look somewhere else.

    • @DelonteM
      @DelonteM  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thanks for taking the time to watch both videos! The update helped the QC45 headphones a lot. I’m working on the QC45 vs Sony XM5 headphones video as we type and will be looking at the noise cancellation, transparency, and so forth with the updated info. You’re right, sound is very subjective and I’ll going over who the respective headphones are for based on sound and features. I can’t comment on the noise cancellation too much yet, still working on it as we type, but the QC45 headphones have definitely been improved. The Sony XM5 are a pair of headphones that need to be adjusted with the EQ to make them sound good and I’m not talking about the general V shaped sound that people generally hear with commercial headphones. Once you really take the time to tune the XM5, they sound good, really good. Not many people will want to go in and adjust the EQ too much, but people that are really into audio understand and don’t mind doing these things. I hope you take the time to watch the QC45 vs SONY XM5 video and let us know your thoughts there as well. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch both videos and sharing your thoughts!

    As a 700 user, one major gripe is the design of retraction. The very act of retracting or extending the headphones cause scratches. So much so that they feel like they've been used for 5-6 years. So don't buy the chrome/white one to minimise that. Also this and the qc45 are to be used in non sweaty environments or be prepared to swap out the pads every 6-18 months depending on your salt levels. But I still stick to it more than my airpod max is the comfort. Both this and qc45 (my mom's) are headphones you can wear for hours. Unlike the airpod max.

  • @georgedomse
    @georgedomse ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I was on the fence between the 45's and the 700's (just sold my Sony XM5's due to being too uncomfortable for longer periods of wearing). I read and watched about every review there is, but after yours, I am sold on the 45's. Call quality doesn't matter to me, and everything else just seems to fit my usecase better.

    Wow, being primarily looking for a headset to do professional calls (many hours a day) and less interested by the perfect sound for listening music, I think the 700 clearly kills the QC45 (around 8:10) on call quality in a noisy environment (right?). I think this is also your point when you summarize after these tests on the better NC for the 700.
    Thanks a lot for this perfect review.

    One of very few reviews with some real guitar crunch in the sound test - I listen to a lot of metal and hard rock, so this was very informative and helpful. Thank you!!! QC45s seemed to sound cleaner, sharper, crunchier - is that an accurate impression?

    • @DelonteM

      Thanks for taking the time to watch! The QC45 are definitely more cleaner than the NC700 (especially since the update with the EQ). The NC700 headphones are due for a refresh. I’m hoping they give us something special. I would definitely buy the QC45 over the NC700 for sound. I hope this helps!

    Listening to the noise cancelling section of your video, I found the 700s annoying as the sound filtering through seemed to concentrate on the left side. This would drive me crazy. In the 45s it was more balanced. Thanks for this review and for doing the noise cancellation demonstration. I think I will pick the 45s. I really hope they will help with bass from music as I am autistic and this is my biggest problem, working and travelling in environments where people turn up the bass. It is really stressing me to the point where I am nauseous.

      I appreciate you taking the time to watch and sharing your thoughts! I try to make sure people know what they are getting. The water resistance on the Bose 700 has come in handy quite a few times for me. The QC45 has been updated with an EQ and slightly better noise cancellation. But the Bose 700 has been more durable, the water resistance has been great, and the ability to adjust the noise cancellation has been wonderful. Call quality is also a lot better on the 700 as well. Thank you for this comparison. Your time and effort to provide your review is very much appreciated. I have had the QC 25 over ear wired headphones for 20+ years and still going strong. Ive had to replace the ear pads twice. I use my headphones daily for hours at a time. I absolutely love them. They are so very comfortable and adjust easily for me. Some of the wider bands on current models dont adjust well and have a tendency to slide off my head. I like the slimmer temple piece on the 700 as it wont interfer with glasses. I'm not a fan of wireless . I much prefer simple and uncomplicated. Having to remember which button to push or how many clicks it takes for which ever mode i need at the time is stressful . 13:55 nt

    Awesome review, pal. Thanks. I am still considering the QC45. But I just wished they would add a high, low, and off ANC mode on the QC45 just like the predecessor. Once that's added, I will definitely buy them. Not very fond of touch controls and not foldable headphones. Let us see if they fix this before the new year. :)
    PS. I felt the sound was a bit more clear on the QC45, especially on the Original Love track by Benj Heard.

      @DelonteM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Welcome back. The QC45 is a great pair of headphones. You have to remember the highs, mids, and lows were set to zero for the 700 headphones in this video. I could have easily made the 700 headphones sound like the QC45 or adjusted them as I wanted them. I agree, I have no idea why they did not add the ability to adjust the noise canceling. That would have made a big difference, along with the equalizer… The QC45 headphones are great headphones and if they add the features you mentioned, would be great. @@DelonteM You are welcome, pal. I suspect Bose wants to promote their ideal product, NC 700. Rumors about that go around Reddit and the internet. I feel the same. They have downgraded the QC45 to make people buy the NC700. I can't really see any good reason for not adding the same features as Nc700, especially the option of turning the ANC off, which is an obligatory option that must be on every premium headphone.

      @@zirak93-2 Yea, I just hope the NC 700 generation 2 is going to be a good upgrade! They need to add the sensor that automatically turns off the music and maybe upgrade the NC if possible… The QC45 does need a few more features, I think they made this to satisfy the Bose fan that didn’t like the NC 700 headphones. A lot of those guys still want at least the features from the QC35II… We will see how this plays out. You know I’ll be doing the 700 Mark II as soon as they come out, I’m kind of excited to see what give us! I just thought of a few videos to make on this topic…

    Thank you for this review. I was sure I was looking at the 700s until this review and now I am a bit stumped. I primarily want headphones for overall music quality and I am coming from the Bose QC15. I do like the list of features of the 700 but when I heard the overall sound quality comparison at the end of your video between the 45’s and the 700, I was taken back. Again, I am listening through an older pair of QC15s but the 45 sound was superior to the 700 which sounded weaker and less vibrant. Can this be? Or is comparing the two sounds through QC 15s not a good idea?

    • @DelonteM
      @DelonteM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! The QC45 headphones do sound better or more vibrant. You have to remember the NC 700 headphones can be adjusted by the EQ on the app. The 700 headphones was played at 0 highs, 0 lows, and 0 mids to make the comparison fair, but it didn’t show how it sounds when you adjust it because people have different taste in music. You can easily adjust the sound to get the QC45 sound quality or change it to make the music sound the way you like. You would have to get a third party EQ for that on the QC45 headphones. The 700 headphones can be tweaked and has the features. I would recommend the QC45 headphones to the person who does not like the 700 headphones at all. I hope this helps and thanks again for taking the time to watch the video! Don’t be a stranger!

      @DelonteM  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tornagain The Bose 700 headphones can be customized to your liking using the equipped EQ. So in my opinion, that would be the headphones to go for when comparing these two. I hope they add this feature to the QC45, but you can get a third party EQ as well… Overall, the NC 700 headphones offer more value over the QC45 headphones. I would go to a store and try them out. I’m sure the Bose store will allow you to play with the app and pick the right one. Let us know which one you decide to go with!

    The QC45 sound louder? I notice a better signature sound on QC45 ? Thanks

    • @DelonteM
      @DelonteM  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The QC45 is a louder pair of headphones. The Bose 700 headphones does a better job at controlling sound leakage, has adjustable noise canceling, and the highs aren’t pushed forward as they are with the QC45 headphones, but the QC45 headphones are louder and uses the buttons instead of gestures. The QC45 headphones are also a little bit more comfortable, although you shouldn’t have issues with either in longer listening sessions. Bose is generally really good in that dept. Both are nice headphones, but the Bose 700 takes the win when it comes to features and sound.

      Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! Neither of these headphones would give you a problem. The QC45 is slightly more comfortable, but the NC 700 headphones have all the features (even the ability to adjust the noise cancellation). I have worn both for hours and both are very comfortable for the situation you described. The QC45 would be more comfortable by a small amount though. @CCN PNDA I seen the beginning portion of your last message. It was taken down for some reason… I know you asked about being able to control the bass an such on the Bose headphones. The Bose 700 allows you to make changes to the bass, treble, and mids. The QC45 headphones received an update a little while ago that allows for the same adjustments. This has been really good for the QC45 headphones, you can now make the headphones sound the way you need them to sound. I hope I covered the question.

      Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! In my opinion, the Bose 700 headphones sound better. Especially since you can tweak the sound to your liking with the included app. If you’re looking for bass as well as crisp highs, while maintaining the mids, the Bose 700 does a better job in my opinion. You can get a third party EQ app to make changes to the QC45, but if you’re looking at using the headphones as intended, without spending the extra funds, the Bose 700 headphones are the headphones to get. Hello, really great vid ^^
    I have a quick question for the nc700. When I walk or shake my head, i hear a clanking noise due to the fact that the cups aren't property fitted to the metal structure so they are a bit wobbly. Do you also have this "issue" or should i return them?

    • @DelonteM
      @DelonteM  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! The NC 700 headphones will rattle in the hand due to the way it is built. The ear cups are done in a way to fit a variety of head types. I feel they could have come up with something better and I hope they do for the next generation of Bose 700 headphones. If you rigorously shake your head with no music playing you may hear a slight clicking sound. You should not be hearing the sound under normal shaking. If you are hearing the noise just by walking or normal shaking, I would exchange them for a new pair before your warranty runs out. I hope this helps. I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video! The song is The Queen, from Jasmine J Walker. It's a nice, laid back style track. There's also a version with lyrics as well.

      @@DelonteM maan, you don‘t know how many times I‘ve been searching for the ideal upgrade to my 35ii. But honestly, i am still not sure if the 45s are really worth it. It seems to me, that bose is forcing customers to either buy the 700 or 45s. But forreal: all we‘re asking is a upgrade of the 35qcii in anc (!) but with the features that can‘t go wrong: no touch, best grip on pads and fit we know from the 35s, an usability for almost every activity. Please with buttons (cuz touch sucks), no passive anc side noise while not listening to music (-point on the 45s), and a futuristic design such as the 700. Last but not least: more innovative features, anc lowering, and eq that is inspired by competitors. That would be a headphone worth the money. Unless i am forced to outwear the 35qcii until bose pushes you to buy an upgrade (by firmware updates and taking out the 35s in the catalogue). Sadly I am quite disappointed by boses products. What do you think? Best

      @@YoreNorth Honestly, I'm hoping the next generation of Bose 700 headphones are what you stated... The button configuration is a lot more reliable, better noise cancellation, and a better EQ (something more like The Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones EQ). The swiping gestures on the NC 700 headphones have been really good though, nothing to really complain about, but there is a reason headphones are kind of going back to the physical button layout... The QC45 headphones are pretty good, but they easily leak sound and you still can't turn off the noise cancellation... They updated the headphones with an EQ, but it's not really the type of EQ where you can really get in there and fine tune the headphones (although I'm glad we have some type of EQ now). I'm hoping the next generation of NC 700 headphones are the answer. Between the two, I always recommend the Bose 700. It's a lot closer to what you were asking for, but has the swipe features. I have not had any issues with the swipe gestures yet, it's been really good so far. The updated EQ has made the QC45 headphones a lot better, but the sound leakage (especially in an office or airplane setting) and the fact that you still can't turn off the noise cancellation keeps me asking why in 2022?

    How do you compare qc45 with nc700 in terms of comfort? Does it differ a lot?

    • @DelonteM
      @DelonteM  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! No, there isn’t much difference at all. The QC45 headphones won that section by a very small margin… Both headphones are very comfortable and I have no issues listening to either set of headphones for extended periods of time.

      Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! The QC45 headphones received an update that provides an EQ. This is actually really good news for the headphones. You can now adjust the headphones to how you need them to sound.

      Hello Delont, with the EQ on QC45, can the sound of QC45 be changed to similar with 700? Especially on the mid sound, does the mid of QC45 with EQ change, can be the same good as 700 ?

    • @DelonteM
      @DelonteM  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! The Bose QC45 headphones can now be tweaked to sound very similar to the Bose 700. I would still purchase the Bose 700 over the QC45 if you are considering those headphones. The 700 does a better job with sound leakage and you can adjust the noise cancellation to your liking. It also has the convenient button on the side for quick discussion options. Both are great headphones, I would love to know which you decided to go with and why. Thanks again for leaving a comment and watching!

      Hello, when I went to shop to compare these two, the qc45 do have a more base and treble but less mid, but I preferred the sound of 700 because 700 gave me more immersion into the music, and I like a lot on the "electric sound" from 700 which might come out from the closed case of 700. I like the apperance of 700, and it does have a very low pressure when NC is on. So I have bought 700.

      One more funny thing I would like to share is, I went to shop to plan to buy Sony XM35, but when I listened to the tester sample Sony XN900 in the shop, I didn't like the sound, it doesn't sound bright but dark. Then I went to Bose....
