- Ford Figo Sport 2017 Review in Hindi - The Figo Sport is the newest addition to the hatchback's variant lineup, and we recently got the opportunity to spend a day with this to understand the interior, exterior and mechanical changes it has received.
Based on the Titanium trim, the 2017 Ford Figo S Edition targets buyers who want an even sportier version of the car that they can enjoy on long highway trips and twisty roads. Available in both petrol and diesel versions, the Figo Sports Edition's suspension has been stiffened and bigger 15-inch wheels have been installed on to it. Though the car's engines remain unchanged i.e. 86bhp 1.2-litre petrol and 99bhp 1.5-litre diesel. While its petrol version is priced at Rs 6.32 lakh, the diesel version can be bought at Rs 7.22 lakh (prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
Besides mechanical changes, the car has gone through some cosmetic updates as well such as blackened roof, black alloy wheels, UK-spec model inspired black honeycomb grille, new graphics, etc.

Hello. I'm a bit off-topic here but can you please tell me how is the nvh level in Figo/Aspire Diesel? Is it high like in EcoSport? Or is it really low?
Dude. the diesel engine will be fun no doubt on the highway, however is it controllable in bumper to bumper traffic.

Valid point. But almost all are of the opinion that the 1.5lt TDCi is really top notch in every dept. and also it is decent in bumper to bumper traffic. I have also learnt from other reviews that the NVH level is really low. But since govt is acting strongly on diesel cars and it is planning to go all electric by 2030 i wonder whether it'll be wise buying diesel now. On the other hand the petrol really lacks the punch. So i'm terribly confused. :(
Ritesh, to be able to go all-electric, we will need massive investment in infrastructure. We don't think it's possible to go all-electric by 2030. US has been trying to do it for more than a decade now, and despite putting in so much money into it - sales of electric cars there is less than 1 percent. The case isn't any different in Europe or China. It will only happen when the cost of lithium-ion batteries will be as low as diesel/petrol engines, and that is certainly not happening anytime soon.
We have driven the car in almost all situations including bumper-to-bumper, and the car has no problem at all. As a matter of fact, you won't have to shift gears too frequently in stop & go traffic as there's almost no lag even at the low RPMs. So no need to be worried on that aspect, go ahead and buy it. :)

Nice review Vikash ji. I am planning to buy Aspire Titenium plus variant in diesel. Am I able to change the Tyres with 15 inch alloys?? if so than is necessary to make any changes in existing suspension set up in Normal Aspire (I don't like looks of new sports edition)??

If interior quality and comfort are your priorities, the Baleno is a great option. But if you want a safer and more fun-to-drive vehicle, the Ford Aspire Sports surely is a better choice.
BoluBhai The Don ,baleno is worst car, it's too light weight, 998 cc ,price equal to Ford Figo sport, baleno ground clearance also low than Figo, pick up is very poor, even when we cross speed breaker car will shake ,it's horrible ,I got these details from car driving school owner.

Hi Vikas. Need a small guidance from you. I am planning to exchange my 1st gen Figo tdci Titanium for Aspire sports tdci. Will the upgrade be worth? My daily drive is in the city with occasional highway runs. Drivability is very important to me, followed by safety, mileage and service cost. I am not inclined to the upcoming eco sport. Wts your suggestion? :) I am planning to book in next 2 weeks. Either Aspire Sport or VW Vento Dsg All Star edition. I dont consider Vento service costs high due to 15K Kms service intervals. So yes...kindly advice.
Hi Aniket, between the Aspire Sport and Vento DSG, our pick would be the Vento if the performance is on top of you priority list. It's also slightly better in build quality, but the only problem with the VW is its high service cost. In that department, the Ford Aspire has an upper hand and it's also lot more fuel efficient. The 1st gen Figo is a gem of a car, and I don't think that even today any other car in that price bracket drives like that - all thanks to the original fiesta platform. The Aspire sport may not match the drivability of the 1st gen Figo, but it's still better than most of its rivals.
Thanks brother. Bought the Duster Top End AMT :) For family and Bangalore traffic commitments, skipped the sedan. Loved the driveability - Suspension, Ride height and the basic automatic.

No the petrol lacks the eagerness of diesel. The diesel is a better performer than the petrol counterpart in all conditions.

The Polo GT TSI is the best performance hatch in its segment, the only drawback is the not-so-spacious rear seat. Otherwise, it's a great product with brilliant build quality,interior and engine options.
Did test drive of Tiago petrol XZ, concerned about vibrations of engine and gear knob. Should I go for it or Figo ? Is diesel engine of Tiago is more refined than petrol and how much more will it cost in Figo with features of XZ. My driving is around 500 km in city which includes 250 km on highway in one or two months while going to my village
Yes,t he Tiago has the vibration issue and that is something you'll find in most 3-cylinder engined hatchbacks at that price. Between the Figo and the Tiago, the Figo surely has an upper hand. But we would suggest you to wait for a few months, as the company is coming up with its facelift that will have a better interior with touchscreen infotainment and some other features. Do subscribe to our channel as we will bring the facelifted Figo's review as soon as that gets launched.

Figo ka clutch na jyada tight hai na jyada halka, ekdum theek hai. Agar performance chahiye to Figo diesel sabse acchi hai, agar performance, comfort aur fuel efficiency ka sabhi combination chahiye to Swift aur agar kharab raston par jana jyada hota hai aur thodi unchi seating position chaiye to Nexon.

Hey nice review...I like the fact that rim size has increased to 15 inches. I think ford should apply this to all models. However, the chrome grill was better looking than all black honeycomb grill. Ford has launched this variant just like Baleno has launched RS variant...Build quality is rigid of ford cars....

Dude Baleno has disc breaks on all wheels, Engine is completely different -turbo boost 1 L. Ford has just increased the wheel size and just put on some stickers, making fool out of people. Only idiot would buy Ford sports edition.

Your car school driving owner is smoking a good weed. Baleno alpha is 1200 cc petrol. Best petrol engine in this segment. Baleno RS is turbocharged 1 L engine. Very good pick up. 0-100 in less than 10 secs. In fact in swift sports edition, you get the same engine world over. Suzuki's 1.4L turbocharged engine is a beast. I hope we get it in Ciaz or SCross. It is stupidity to compare a low segment car Figo with Baleno. People who can't afford Baleno can buy Figo. Nothing against it but nowhere close to Baleno. These American companies are just making fool of Indias. Figo is not even sold in western countries. They reserve such piece of shit for Indians and Latin Americans only.
Just for reference, Figo ground clearance-174 mm and Baleno is 170 mm. Not much of a difference. Anyways we can sit and debate on our Laptops but sales figure reflect the true picture. People are wise and they make best decision with their money.

Nayi Figo ka wait kar sakte ho, 1-2 mahine mein aane wali hai, dusra option Tiago hai. Par agar maintenance cost bhi kam chahiye to nayi Swift bhi le sakte ho jo ki launch hone hi wali hai.

While the Baleno RS is better in initial acceleration (0-100kmph) and mid-range, the Figo Sports is better at high RPMs. In case you want a petrol car go for the Baleno RS, in case you want diesel - the Figo Sports is the car you should go for.
Is Ford reliable even after 2 lakh Kms?. Can anyone who already did 250,000 Kms on EcoSport, or Figo tell their experience?

Sir I am getting Ford Aspire Diesel Sportz for Rs35000 more than Dezire 2017 ZXI Petrol model. I have monthly running of less than 1000 but looking at the maintenance cost that ford offers now and 100000KMs warranty, I feel Aspire diesel would be better for me even though my monthly running is very less. Please give your advise.Need to book tomorrow to get the offer so plz reply asap.
As far as the overall after-sales service is concerned, Maruti Suzuki will obviously have advantage over any player in the market. Having said that, Ford has come up with several initiatives to take their maintenance cost really low. At least their new-age cars are easier to maintain.
But that did not give the direct answer. Your reply is kind of confusing me. Should I go for Desire ZXI petrol or Aspire Sports where the latter cost me 35000 extra? Also my running is less than 1000km per month
Consider second-hand car value as well. You will get your answer. Moreover, Aspire looks are not good. better buy Figo instead.

Is budget mein aapke paas bahut se options hain. Agar petrol chahiye to Grand i10, Tata Tigor ya Baleno mein se ek le sakte hain, agar diesel chahiye to Ford Figo aur Dzire ka mid variant accha rahega. in sabhi gadiyon ki maintenance cost bhi theek hai.
