- Ford Freestyle is claimed to be the country's first 'compact utility vehicle', but it essentially is a cross hatch based on the Figo. But it is the most capable vehicle in its category, thanks to the brilliantly tuned suspension setup and a class-leading ground clearance of 190mm. What's also new with the Freestyle is Ford India's all-new 1.2-litre,3-cylinder engine that belongs to the same Dragon family that made its debut with the 2017 EcoSport. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 96bhp and a peak torque of 120Nm, thus making it the most powerful 1.2-litre engine. Besides that, the vehicle also gets a new 5-speed manual transmission sourced from Getrag which is lot smoother than the one available on the Figo. Though the claimed mileage is 19kmpl, it gave us around 13kmpl which according to us was impressive since we mainly drove it in rough roads.

world class safety features??
I would definately go for safety features like 6 airbagas etc rathar than some funky design elements.

Freestyle is value for money, superior, fun to ride & safer better option over i10 grand, swift & tiago.

real gem engine 1.2 displaced dragon family class power and torque, with efficiently tuned and matched new gearbox. finally ford DNA of dynamics can be experienced and petrol heads in India must experience the same. Diesel buyers will love the new gearbox and linear acceleration as well as NVH .... price is main concern and Ford must not do mistake like maruti by orcharging S-cross and i20 active ... 5.99 ex india for petrol and maximum 8.37 ex india for diesel would be killer price and ... people might buy ford again and first time buyers also will love the affordability claimed by ford in petrol and diesel.

Safety Features is the need of hour! Ford does it better than any other manufacturer especially the weak build of Maruti Suzuki! Ford Freestyle is a must go rather than Maruti Suzuki Baleno or Swift looking on overall performance!

So after everything said and done in the video, #Vikas, would you choose freestyle over baleno petrol and elite i20 petrol or i20 active in terms of overall performance handling and power?
I have been waiting for this review from quite a long time as it would definately give a final verdict to choose out of 3. Though other two are premium hatchbacks and freestyle is a crossover but still except the size the engine confirguration is same.
Though it lacks initial punch/kick of the Ford's 1.5L TDCi diesel mill, it has impressive mid and high range. And in terms of ride & handing and high speed stability, it's better than both the Elite i20 and i20 Active. And despite the fact it's a 3-cylinder engine, it behaves like a 4-cyl setup. So in overall performance, I found this better than the i20 Active/Elite i20. Hyundai needs a slightly more powerful petrol engine for the i20, I think the current 1.2L is best for the Grand i10.

6 lakh ki range mhi kon se badia option hai. Ager ford ki taraf jate hai than kya ye choice theek hai ya koe or better option hai. Petrol mhi
On paper tata zest 1.2 revotron best hain.. With 140 nm of torque.. But the heavy weight of zest negates this torque future!!

If you want better performance and safety equipment/features, then Freestyle. But if you want a more space, more up-market cabin, then Amaze.

Initial pickup is better in Swift, but the Freestyle has stronger mid and high range.

baleno for looks... and space rest all freestyle
If you want a proper 5 seater then Baleno it is , else freestyle,however check for the updated version of freestyle with rear adjustable headrests.Freestyle is surely going to put smile on your face everytime you drive it.
