I've just serviced a 66A caliber this week and I spent a lot time looking for the place where this little ring goes. Finally I found the place looking pictures of the dissasembly process. Your video would be very helpfull but thanks to you other services will go faster.
I'm in the process of servicing a 66B right now and had the little bearing washer stick to the seconds wheel and then fall off without me seeing where it came from. Glad this video showed where it goes, that's just what I needed!
Really neat! I see these handwinds from time to time and I find them charming. Was always curious about what they were like inside. Audio was great this time, too. [winky-wink]
I noted the cover of the barillet was opened. I restored a Seiko 66A and found the cover opened . In many other movement the barillet cover is down here is up so if you have to clean the mainspring then you must rewind it clockwise.
I remember having a beautiful blue Seiko 66A that came from a bundle i got from Japan. That steel spacer explains why it was so substantially heavy despite being rather small. (it was a SS case nevertheless) Kinda regret selling it put it was what it came in for.

Dear Spencer, I enjoy your restoration videos very much... very entertaining and informative
I find they are better made than the later automatic 7009's I struggle getting good amplitude on them.
The numbers on this movement look great.
What a gorgeous watch Spencer! Really nice. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Do you recall what crystal (item #) you replaced the old one with? Assuming you replaced the old one
I don't remember, I apologize. Probably a generic.
Beauté simple...
Hi Spencer, do you use Bergeon tweezers?
Depends what set I'm needing. I also have Vigor and a few much older Swiss ones.
@@SpencerKleinVintageWatch thank you for the answer. By the way, you did an amazing job!
