Brilliant series Stefan! Please please come and do Queensland next! You'll get to see the Great Barrier Reef and North Queensland from the skys! It'll be great, trust me.
Stefan, At around 9:50, there appears right in front of the bill of your ballcap a white object that almost looks like a reflection. But it appears to exit the scene behind your head. It is traffic? I had to stop and start many times to view it, but I would swear that it is traffic.
Brings back some fond memories of my time learning to fly from YMMB back in the late 80's and early 90's. It was just as busy as in your video but back in those days, we didn't have the luxury of the gadgets you have in your aircraft for traffic alerts. LOL Headsets were considered a luxury and trying to hear traffic from ATC through the aircraft speaker with engine noise blasting away was always fun! LOL That Carrum VFR inbound reporting point was always easy to find coming back from the training area. GMH and Police Academy were a little challenging to find!
Watched all 3 episodes. Loved them. Yes deviations did happen but that is because you tried something that is so uncommon and quite daring. What I loved is how well it was planned the trip was and how honest you have been about the goof ups and all. These 3 videos, other earlier videos and your plan to travel the globe inspire me to learn flying. A big shout out to EYZ, she has been a good girl all along the way. Stay safe, stay well and all the best for your world tour.
Oh no! Around 6:36 you show some great footage of Wilsons Promontory Lightstation, but it is not the Southern most point. I guess you have to do the trip again. Another great video. I loved this series.
You’re correct Charles. The lighthouse is on South East Point. South point would have been directly beneath him at that time. I’ve sailed around the prom many times. Hey Steph, great series and thanks for the great series. Love seeing the coat of Victoria and appreciate the effort you put in to make it. 😃👍 I’m a big fan of your channel. Thanks.
Hey Stef, I'm working towards getting my ppl, and watching these types of videos are truly inspiring for someone like me! Loved watching you fly the border and love the channel too. (:
i watched you occasionally on flight radar during this trip, didnt know what was going on at first when i seen you pop up along the SA border so it was interesting to sit back on FR & watch what you were up to, they awesome videos to watch to i enjoyed these, that final circuit you made just before landing back at moorabbin you actually did the circuit directly over my place
Great work Stephan I thoroughly enjoyed watching this three part series. I know that exact same feeling where you find yourself in heavy traffic. Thanks again!!
Excellent Stef, appreciated the avoidance of YTDN as I could have been doing my shaky best of CCTs there and may be doing my “stalls” training. Much inspired by your work on TH-cam.
What a great series! Had me hooked the whole way. Mainly because I was really excited to see footage of you flying around the southern Mornington peninsula. And then you skipped it! Gahhhh
Loving the coastal portions and thru the lakes so nice to fly these areas , 6more states left to circumnavigate now and that little island down the bottom :) Great content like usual 👍👍
Well done, enjoyed all 3 episodes, with all those other aircraft around it was giving you some practice for when you finally do your trip around the world. Looking forward to more videos.
Stefan, Well done mate! Just remember ; When in trouble ,when in doubt, Run in circles, Scream and Shout... Oh Wait... your up in a bloody plane! Never MInd:0 Cheers, Rik Spector
Thanks Stefan. Enjoyed seeing the scenery from the air as I normally see it from the ground or from 400 feet with a drone. You have sold me on the Cirrus.
Very much enjoyed the series Stef. And how accurately you "guessed" how long nine-mile road was ;) Your coastline is beautiful. Tourism should sponsor you as you demonstrate what a beautiful country you live in
Nice end to an enjoyable series Stef. The MB training area and CARR in particular can look horrible on our radar screens on busy clear days, sometimes I feel like most of my job is just passing traffic alerts around there!
Cheers Dan, yeah it can get messy there sometimes. Not the first time I’ve orbited for spacing around there. The speed differences between aircraft makes it tricky too.
Congrats on the final video Stef! Love your work mate! 11.9 hours of flying! Wow! Having watched from afar I see that Victoria is now getting some rather decent rain! Enjoy a few no flying days off! Take care mate! Loving the content!
Nothing like a busy CTR to get your lookout going after quiet airspace heh Stefan. Awesome views and & all delivered with your characteristic dry sense of humour. Look forward to seeing how it worked out gps trackwise. Atb & stay safe.
Watching this a bit late on Sunday morning. Once again very enjoyable. Image after getting to the most southern point you then continue flying till you get to Antarctica. Could this be your next challenge ?? Thanks Stef.
Stefan, thank u so much for this incredible pictures....here in Paris is still kind of lockdown and ovc (winter). Wath amazing country you have !!!! (Cirrus pilot N199ZZ) !
I hope things open up for you over there soon. We saw the cold weather that came through. Stay safe and hope you’re back flying in beautiful France again soon.
Loved all three episodes, thanks for taking us along with you. The Victorian / Tasmania Border is about 9.5 km from the tip of Wilson Prom (South Point) so best to stay within gliding distance 👍
Hi Stef Love the content you are putting . I have been watching a lot of your Australian adventures - awesome. I am a flight simmer and was wondering if next time you do a long flight you could show and explain your process for leaning out the engine. Look forward to more gr8 content. TarmacTormentor (Xbox gamer) Cheers Tony
Great video, thank you Stefan. I'm sure it was plenty of work putting that together but well worth the effort given how much everyone can learn from your experience.
Hey stef...great to see another upload. hope the flight is going well. Ive just recently purchased myself a Cirrus SR22 on Xplane11 in Vr. its brilliant. doing a small flight from Adelaide YPAD to Mildura YMIA ... its the closest to the real thing lol
Great series, now that you've done the southernmost point.. perhaps do the northernmost point and do the QLD border? Altho you'd prob die of boredom going from Poeppel's Corner up to the coast :D
Love the finish mate. Looking forward to your round the world trip...when you can again. Have ever done, or even considered, volunteering your plane and services as a bushfire spotter aircraft for the CFA or RFS? Also any chance of saving your trip as an MSFS flight plan? I'd love to give it a go in the sim.
Hi ya. Recent subscriber, love the channel the style the humour the presn quality etc. Really appreciate the effort you put in to it. Hope you, family and milkshake are all well. I’m a Uk lapsed (many years ago) ppl currently behaving like a moth seemingly unable to resist the attraction of the white light of the sim X-Plane world. Currently speccing out appropriate pc yokes peddles throttles etc etc. Not cheap! More annoyingly not readily available! Anyway, any chance of you doing a video of sim X-Plane in south of England maybe transit heathrow and back using ATC (vatsim?) etc. Stay safe. Cheers. Mart
Hey Martin, welcome to the channel. I haven’t done any sim flying for a little while, been making the most of the freedom here to get out in the real world, but maybe in the future. Thanks for the suggestion.
Moorabbin airport and control zone used to be busy. Its now only part of what it used to be. Once there were 3 runways in 3 directions, simultaneous touch and go's on parallel runways on two different circuit directions. On a Sunday afternoon, you would look at the aircraft approaching looking like a cloud of flies. There was always a stream of aircraft heading out or returning to the circuit and having 3 aircraft all racing each other to call inbound was not uncommon. It was a rat race.
This has been the longest week of my year waiting for this video! Fantastic Stef ✈️👍😎
Brilliant series Stefan! Please please come and do Queensland next! You'll get to see the Great Barrier Reef and North Queensland from the skys! It'll be great, trust me.
Enjoyed the Series THX and keep up the great content!!
your a bloody good youtuber i would love to be as good as you
Love your channel.
Thanks Samuel
Can’t wait until the trip around the world

Great series Steph...I hope I’m not the only one that enjoys your humor and wit..... love the airplane cover!!!
Hey Stefan, COVID has us on travel lockdown, but I can say I'm living vicariously through you. Thanks man!😁👍

Thanks for allowing all of us to come along for the ride. I could hear that you had your work cut out at the end.
Yes a busy end to a busy few days of flying. Thanks for following the series.
3:36 Maybe using a Melways would have been easier ;)
The flying is great. But I seriously can't get over how amazing your film making is. You should be proud of yourself!
Thanks for showing off the beauty that is Victoria! Fantastic series Stef!!!

Yep, great story again, mate. Thanks!
I didnt know your plane had a milkshake theme cover!
Sure does! It’s cool hey? Check out Vertigo Covers, they made it (a few more pics on my Instagram too)
@@StefanDrury very cool 😎
The lecture was awesome
Wish more of these were on TH-cam
Really enjoyed this stef, it’s certainly been a journey and to do it old school has been a huge success
Hey Stef, I'm working towards getting my ppl, and watching these types of videos are truly inspiring for someone like me! Loved watching you fly the border and love the channel too. (:
That’s great Andrew, enjoy your flight training and all the best with your PPL.
Glad you did it safely. I enjoyed a lot this fly the border series. Take care Stef! Cheers
Haven't seen any of your videos for a few months. It feels good to see you today. Love your humor. You 're a great pilot, mate.
Thanks for jumping back in Robert. I’ve been uploading pretty regularly the last few months, time to catch up!
Well done, Stef. Maybe you could come up with, a few more smaller challenges to complete this year?
Hey buddy, started my ground school training, wish me luck. Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!
Good luck with your flight training Ronald.
@@StefanDrury thanks🙂
Great work Steph! Very cool series! What a blast, got me thinking once I get my private pilot certificate I might want to fly the border of my state.

Incredible production values and incredible flying. Makes me miss home. Well done on evolving these lovely hypnotic films.
Very enjoyable Stef. Highlighted our beautiful South Gippsland coastline in this episode.
I love that coastline, would really like to see it on ground level someday soon as well. Thanks George.
Glad you made it back safe, great mini-series
Thank you

Hey Stef, what a fantastic job to fly by border of the VIC. keep it up Mate :D
Thanks for the video Stef, and thank you for taking us with you :)
I very much appreciate the philosophy. Australia is magnificent too. You should definitely do another challenge like this
Keep it up, Stef! Really enjoyed the cross country flying :-).

Great journey Stef. A very enjoyable watch.
Quite enjoyed watching this series and you landed in my old home town of Bairnsdale. Thanks for the great 🛩 content keep it coming 👍🏼.
Great series thanks Stefan 👍. Always interesting to see otherwise unseen parts of the State.
Yeah that was a big objective of the flight, to go places I wouldn’t normally. Thanks for following the series Matthew.

6:32 reminds me of the rocket lab launch site in NZ.. 😁
Good one Stefan!!

Super stunning scenery! - Great job Stef
A fabulous series. I think you would find that Tyabb airport is much busier than Tooradin
