      It’s OK well seemed to have lost a year lately. Was following the flight on Flightradar and wondered why you dropped off ... I think when you cancelled IFR for Hopetoun it lost you. Keep the videos coming. Because if these currently doing my Cirrus transition at Avia.

I added another 3 landings today taking my numbers to 32 in Victoria & 20 off your list.. not that far behind you :) I enjoy seeing what you are doing

    Another great video. Parts seamed like Mad Max, visiting the deserted airports, risking your funny bone for petrol. The anguish of deciding to stay or go IFR, the elation and zooming along the top of the clouds, and Milkshake making an appearance. The cinematography and story selling was on point. I feel like the pandemic has given you extra time to hone your skills. I love your showcasing of Victoria, and I am so looking forward to not only seeing more of Victoria and Australia, but also your round the world flight. I like that your definition for visiting a place is a full-stop landing ... but you don't necessarily have to get out of the aircraft to touch the ground with your feet. :)
    I've been flying in Europe since the Ansett collapse, so I count many cities as having been "visited" when people ask me - but I know that I really should only count the ones where I have left the airport. ;)

    • @StefanDrury
      @StefanDrury  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Gene, IFR follows hemispheric levels so when heading West you should plan/fly even altitudes and odds for East. But as I was heading West and the clouds were giving me icing at 8,000 feet, I asked for “nonstandard” 9,000. ATC told me there was no conflicting traffic and as it was uncontrolled airspace I could fly at that level. I could’ve asked for 10,000 but I didn’t want to climb that high if I didn’t need to. Cheers, stef
