    I went and drilled two holes on each side of the clear housing above the LED lights to use of a suction release cuz I was having the exact same problem on my thick area rugs and now it works beautifully and it still has an amazing amount of sucking power

    I bought this vacuum about a month ago (March 2024) and I don't have the vacuum stopping repeatedly on carpet). So far I love it. But thanks for the review.

    That stopping would drive me crazy, definitely a dealbreaker. Btw you have a fabulous voice. A pleasure to listen to.

    Wow! Thank you for this review and information! We were just about ready to order the Evolve Pet Elite 2 until we viewed your video. The Evolve 1 is currently on sale at our local Target for $139.00 and we will not be purchasing this model until this issue with the brush roll stopping on carpet is resolved. We are long time owner of the Hoover Llnx cordless vacuums and were looking to upgrade our cordless vacuum.

      hi! I hope Hoover fixes this carpet issue as most of the reviews I have seen are only testing it on hard floors or thin commercial grade carpets to begin with. What makes it worse is Hoover customer service is VERY difficult to reach. I tried online chat (waited over 4 hours for a reply on multiple occasions), email (never even got a response), and only by calling Hoover after 2+ hr wait times then asking for a manager was I able to get return shipping waived and get a new one. Sadly, same issue. At this price point, they should be more understanding.

      Hi. I am so glad I happened to come across your review. I too was just about to order it as its on sale but I have a lot of carpets and that would drive me crazy plus the cannister and filter. I was waiting for a new version with lights and this sounded great. Plus I have a huge issue with any customer service that deals with vacuum's. A lot of these places are now charging a restocking fee so always read the small print.@@TheFrenchGlow

    Crazy they don’t have a suction release valve or anything for carpet.

    I have stick vacuum and while like it wanted something with bigger canister. Was interested in getting upright cordless vacuum like this and unsure to get it. Not sure if they fixed this problem or not for rugs.

    I got an evolve onepwr from a discount store used for $20. It came with an 8 hr battery. Did not have a charger. That thing worked great for 2 years. Didn't have any issues with any carpets I used it on. Recently, the hair detection thing started messing up. It now detects it being on hard wood floors. Basically, the vacuum is now unusable. I just ordered a brand new one from hoover, they had a sale on them. Got a vacuum plus their steam mop for $230. That said, I'm hoping the new one doesn't have this issue. The old one I had never had that issue. i could use it on any carpet I tried it on just fine. So idk, hoping that the new one doesn't have issues. I was contemplating buying another cordless upright but from the experience of the old one I had, it really was perfect while it lasted. I figured since I bought it used that it probably got dinged around by someone else and it worked perfectly for 2 years, so figured if I get a new one and I know I won't be abusing it, that it should last longer than the old one.

    How I can unplug the handle?

    I'm on my 3rd one of these and the belt that drives the roller keeps slipping. Possible because the end of a rug got pulled into it. You cannot get a replacement belt. That's why I'm on my 3rd one. I love this vacuum other than that and I've really had no problem with the canister or filters.

      Thanks for sharing. The Hoover Evolve Pet 2 had so much potential to be Hoover's best vacuum. The suction is out of this world and it looks good.

      Have you found replacement belts yet? I like the vacuum, but my belt keeps coming off and it's only 2 months old!

    • @SGuitar62
      @SGuitar62 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@chloeshaffer4038 No they say this isn't a user serviceable part. Maybe try some kind of belt dressing to prevent slipping. The older model had a belt that was ribbed so it wouldn't slip like this one. I just try and be careful not to let the rugs get caught in the roller.

    Is there a way to replace the drive belt. I see no instructions. Is there even a belt or is it a gear? I could see a gear stop the roller in case of a snag to prevent motor burnout

      Hi! It's not easy to replace.

    • @albertamodeo4955
      @albertamodeo4955 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @TheFrenchGlow . I found it. It is really simple. there are 4 screw on the side that need to be removed. the drive belt was ok. The brush wheel was frozen., I needed to remove it and shave some plastic that mush have melted.
      BE CAREFUL, the screws on the drive wheel are counter screws. DONT srtip them'

      As a cordless upright pet vac at this price point, I would do with shark duoclean apex or vertex. Since the shark stratos came out, you can score the apex or vertex on sale at the same price as the hoover. I think the hoover onepwr cordless stick pet max is also very similar with the same battery.

    HELP......HOW DO YOU RELEASE THE HANDLE?

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You have to use a small stick that you can insert near where the handle insert is located. That will release the lock holding the handle in place
