Such a wonderful video! Very informative Im 52 on a taper from klonopin , down to .0.125 for panic, and health anxiety. My Dr wants me to start this while im finishing my taper, sounds like it really can help with my anxiety. I also suffer from sleep issues past couple of years, anything at all help for you. I can fall asleep, but always wake after a couple of hours. Stay well God Bless you Michael
Michael!! Thanks for those wonderful words. I hope Buspar will help out your anxiety. I'm about 7-8 weeks in now and I have to say, it wasn't until week 4 that I really felt the full therapeutic effect. If you go on it, Hang in there! My sleep isn't great but i find if I take anywhere from 3-5 mg of melatonin and try not too eat too close to bedtime, that combination goes a long way. I also am reasonably young but alreadly have bladder issues, and for me eating food that doesn't irritate my bladder (avoiding coffee, spicy food, gluten and dairy), I find that I don't wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I don't know if thats actually any issue for you but I'll just throw that in there as well. Take Care!! and thanks again.
Just started this past Sunday one 5mg twice daily. Light headache, sleep after med, nausea for 2 days. I've already stopped waking up in anxiety mode. Very sensitive to all meds. Thanks for sharing
i’m super glad to hear that! i think its a great sign to have a positive reaction so early! 👍✨ It’ll be exciting to see your progress continue especially when you get past that magical 4th week mark. At least that’s when it really all came together for me. Thanks for your comment and congrats on your positive mental health journey!!
You got this!!✨✨✨✨ This is really a wonderful drug. Don't forget to get good sleep as often as you can and stay active. Even little walks help! The first month will have some side effects but they won't be too terrible. You'll be able to tell if it's working for you by weeks 5-8. You're doing a wonderfully brave thing in taking control of your mental health. Think positive and I'll be sending you good vibes 👌✨
I'm on day 3, so far it seems to help with the freeze paralysis. It takes the edge off the the physical panic for me. When life gets unusually but chronically intensely stressful, my anxiety just makes me sick and drains me of all motivation. So far it seems to help, but I just noticed this robotic numbness that almost reminds me of Wellbutrin without the edge. It's like too flat but maybe I'm just emotionally exhausted from cortisol overload all summer. I heard good things about buspar so I said screw "it I'll try anything at this point", even though I normally am wary of long acting +adjustment psych meds, had significant unpleasant experiences with SSRIs (before genesight testing finally brought that point home).
How are you!!!?✨✨✨ hope you’re doing well, feel free to keep me updated on your progress. Thanks for your comment and insightful feedback, appreciate it immensely!🙌
Been out of work for 3 months... multiple ER visits.. cardiologist..even a heart cath came up normal.. saw a different doctor and he gave me Buspirone 10mg twice a day... I'm REALLY hoping this does the trick. I'm on day 3 of taking it. Also just adds to all the stress worrying about getting back to my job.. Here's Praying 🙏
I’m sending you positive mental health success vibes!!!⚡️⚡️⚡️ I was also in and out of the doctor…i even got a MRI brain scan! Sure sounds like that rascal Anxiety🤔✨ you’re about 2 weeks in so keep pushing! you got this! 💪 Get good sleep (add 2 mg of melatonin if need be) and around week 4 your body will start balancing out! avoid avoid alcohol and weed! Wishing you the best!
Heya!!! Are you experiencing those side effects still? in the beginning i had some minor sleep disturbances and tremors (which was terrifying). Those went away with about 2-3 weeks. Are you drinking coffee or any other stimulants? also are you drinking alcohol and sleeping okay? those things seem to completelyyy negate the effects of buspar especially during the loading phase. i’d really suggest getting off those and let the busp work its slow subtle magic. heart palpitations are def scary, not a medical profesh but since the dose is so low i’d really recommend hanging in there. it took me about 4 weeks before i felt positive effects but then after that i really hit my stride. right now i’m on 10mg total a day split into 2 doses. considering bringing it up to 15mg because i’m in nursing school and working and i’m stressed out of my mind, but 10mg kinda still does it for me. I’m defffinitely not anxiety free but it gives me an extra boost, and i appreciate the help.
new sub here,15 year panic disorder and GAD,day 2 now ive tried everything so i truly hope this is the one..Day 1 was nothing ,second day (today)today i had a few panic attacks feeling kinda lightheaded but new chem in the brain i suppose :) one way or another i will get my amygdala under control.cheers love the content!!!!
thank you thank you for your comment!! damn you amygdala! *shakes fist* i really hope you’re doing well on your mental health journey!! ✨✨✨ i got to get back on the making content train, thanks for the inspiration!
I started 5mg increasing slowly and I’m up to 10 mg now since two weeks. Going to start my 3rd week I have noticed that I’m not as angry and anxious with my situations and it’s easier for me to do things. I had a mild headache very mild no need to take medication. A little sleepy but I need that rest. I take it at night. You’re right you don’t act any different but you do the things or situation so much calmer and relaxed . You push thorough things you need to do . That’s what I been feeling.😇🙏
Thank you for this comment!! it’s sincerely so great to hear your progress! i’d be interested to see how you feel around the end of week 4 and the start of week 5. That was a particularly nice week for me. That was when i started to find a really nice place of balance. thanks again, wishing you the best of health! ✨
i’m now on my 5th week! i feel a definite improvement. it’s a little on the subtle side but i’ll friggin take it. asserting myself in public or tense situations feels easier. i also JUST started wellbutrin, i will make a video about that
I’ve been on lexapro forever, but a year ago I had a bad two weeks of anxiety attack. Then it got resolved. Then two weeks later my body would feel like it’s shutting down or I’m getting sick daily, I noticed it gets worse as I get more stress. If I feel kinda crappy, and I’m in a stressful situation, I start to ache and feel more sick, it sucks, in my head I’m fine, but my body reacts…………hope this stuff helps, I’ve been tested for everything, hoping it’s just stress.
Hi are you still on Lexapro? I was prescribed it for PPPD Dizziness and anxiety but scared to take it for the side effects like the sexual ones. Do u have an issue with libido while on the Lexapro?
This drug is a godsend for me. I took it when I was in elementary school. When I was in second grade I was really anxious all the time and always throwing tantrums, I started taking Buspar in 3rd grade and I made a complete turn around. Less tantrums, less anxiety. I didn't feel different at all, but looking back I realize that that complete turn around I made was the drug working. The only side effects I remember were that I was spacey and that I slept a lot. The latter side effect actually didn't show up until 5th grade. It was weird that way, but I think that's what caused my psychiatrist to discontinue it. I was prescribed it again later when I suffered from anxiety and TMJ as a side effect from my anti psychotic. Again it made a huge difference. I still take it today, and I'm still a strong supporter
Yesss!✨ I do love a good success story😌 how wonderful to hear! I really appreciate you sharing.🙌 I love to see peoples experiences written in the comments. Buspar is my jam of jams.
I’m still on buspar!! the first weeks really sucked. Hang in there!! you got this, this too shall pass!✨✨✨low and slow is my method! i still only take 10mg and have been for a year now. keep me posted on your progress! sending you good vibes🙌
I’m trying to remember if I felt a fast heart rate. I don’t think I did, but I remember being noticeably jittery and being worried if that would go away which thankfully it did! I have heard of this as a side effect but it’s a less common one. When it comes to heart stuff it is definitely worth letting your doctor know. You’re doing so great on your mental health journey ✨ Hang in there! Let me know how things are shaping up!! Thanks for your comments! :)
The spasm and shakes were veeerrry disconcerting!!! 😵💫✨I hope at this point they are starting to chill out!! Hope you’re getting past your first month with no big speed bumps😌✨ Thanks for your comment!!
good point! i think my dosage is so hilariously low and i don’t do any other drugs, i’m probably in the clear but it’s always something to look out for! those tremors really did freak me out in the beginning, very very glad they went away. i guess its common to experience as a mild symptom in the beginning, still very freaky.
I definitely got muscle spasms, absolutely scared the crap outta me! Thankfully they went away about 2 weeks in. I had lil tremor like movement in my hands too that also went away. Phew

Exactly!!! Im glad to hear another good experience
Thanks! I think is super important to put those positive experiences out there!!

Update?
Hey there. I just started buspar 5 mg. How are you doing now on it? I’ve had some heart palpitations and sleep disturbances on it.

It's amazing and at times very very unfortunate how much our physiology is tied to our mental health Hope you're feeling better!🙌

The spasm and shakes were veeerrry disconcerting!!! 😵💫✨I hope at this point they are starting to chill out!! Hope you’re getting past your first month with no big speed bumps😌✨ Thanks for your comment!!
Be careful with tremors and muscle spasms with psychotropic meds as it can be serotonin syndrome

Its putting me out, i feel tired from it for the first week.
I got little muscle spasms. Made my toe twitch.
I definitely got muscle spasms, absolutely scared the crap outta me! Thankfully they went away about 2 weeks in. I had lil tremor like movement in my hands too that also went away. Phew
