    Thank you for sharing your experience. Your videos are more informative and real than any vid on TH-cam from the medical community. You posted this a couple of years ago, but I hope you are continuing to do well ❤

    Thank you so much for sharing your journey. You encouraged me to start buspar. I’m on day 11. Side effects are headache, whooshy feeling in my head, dizziness right after taking it, nausea and recently a feeling of ingestion in my chest. I do feel less anxious though. Hoping side effects pass.

    Yes it’s very subtle, I almost quit it. When I took zoloft, it made me have unwanted thoughts that made everything worse. I need something to relax me but not make me feel glued to the bed and tired.

    Thanks for your videos. I have been in Buspar. Started at 5 mg 2x daily in March 17 and a few months in increased it to 7.5 mg 2x.daily. initially it gave me a sedated high feeling sort of. Now it just makes me feel at ease around people I might otherwise be insecure around. I also take it because I have a high stress call center job that it supports. In addition, I have been taking Escitalopram now 20 mgs and for 2 years. Started at 5 mg with that. Depression has been my bigger problem.

      Thank you for you’re comment!! glad to hear the buspar has been working for you! how have you been liking the escitalopram? has it been effective for your depression? thanks again!

    • @greg1483
      @greg1483 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. The Escitalopram keeps my anger at bay. If I am not on it I have less patience I notice. The pandemic really messed me up along with some extended family drama out of state. I am trying to get off the Escitalopram and go exclusively Buspar. I once tried adding 150 XR Buproprion but I am likely allergic to it because 2 weeks in I began to get dry mouth and lost my voice.for.a.month and it hurt to swallow. So I quickly stopped taking it.

    Thank you for posting your experience with buspar. I’m at the end of week 2 and hoping to see a small improvement. I saw your video where you were ready to quit and saw an improvement at the end of week 4. So I’m going to hang in there for a while. Thanks for giving me hope.

    Glad it's working for you.After lots of antidepressant fails,I asked my doc for Buspar and he said,oh that doesn't work.

      I heard if you have taken a benzodiazepine in the past the Buspar won’t work.

      Unfortunately that's also because buspirone is not an antidepressant it is strictly only for anxiety

    I was taking 20 milligrams Wellbutrin on time release capsule once a day. helped immensely with anxiety but didn't help with depression. So psychiatrist put me on 10 milligrams a day of well Bruton and10 milligrams of Buspar morning and 10 on afternoon. this is on top of the 10 milligrams of sertraline I take at night. Anyways i am starting to sound like a drug addict but this is what dr. now has me taking and I feel wonderful. Never a drugged up feeling, in fact I have much more energy. I will let you know how long it lasts.

    Hey man, thanks for your videos. I've been anxious most of my life too. I was on SSRI's for a very long time until this time last year. I went a year without meds and then a few weeks ago I was put back on medication and the medication that my doctor chose was Buspirone. I'm rollin up on Week 4 and I was looking for a little hope because I started feeling depression, which isn't anything new, but I really felt like the Buspirone wasn't really doing anything. The melatonin thing was interesting because I was in the hospital a few weeks ago and they actually gave me melatonin to sleep along with my first dose of Buspirone. Anyway, I can't thank you enough for your videos. Peace.

      thank you thank you for your comment!! i’m like crazy impressed you went off meds/ssris , i bet that wasn’t easy! congrats. My hope is that the buspirone, when it fires up, will give you a little relief/calm!! I wish you all the best and keep me posted on your progress! thanks again✨

      Buspar is still working for me! Thank goodness. Never took benzos but I wouldn't discount their effectiveness if you had taken them in the past. Maybe though if you were still in benzo withdrawal or still taking benzos.

    I've been on Paxil (OCD) for 30 yrs. Lately, I'm taking Buspar. My concern is that I read Paxil increases serotonin and Buspar lowers it. Sounds conflicting....

    Great video. Week one here, just a little dizziness. I too have been a peacemaker my whole life, first my parents, now my spouse. Suffering from worrying and panic attacks, most of my life. Hope this works

      @@robertmakesashow7089 I’m not taking the Buspar. I didn’t like it. All I need is an as needed *something. People say I should smoke pot ..I’m wondering IF there’s a gummy that would help. Ive been reluctant. The ONLY thing that’s ever helped calm my nerves is a clonazepam. My daughter is a nurse, she doesn’t seem to think having like one a week would hurt when I need to get out and about. I’ve never abused anything. But, even getting a script for 4 or 5 pills a month would take an act from congress. Lol. I just want to be normal, whatever that is. Just tired. Thank you for your following up with me though. I appreciate it. Have a good weekend.

    Love it! Thanks. Peacemaker child here too but I didn’t suffer anxiety until well into adulthood. My depression definitely led from adolescence on - without a doubt.
    I love how you detailed your experience with this drug. It was very helpful. Did you take anything for the headaches?

    • @robertmakesashow7089
      @robertmakesashow7089  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you!! Thanks so much for your comments :) Yess! Pacemaker children here just gracefully holding the world together with our tiny cherubic hands. That's so interesting, you had the opposite trajectory that I had, you had childhood depression to adult anxiety and I was the flip.
      I didn't take anything for the headaches, they weren't excruciating but it felt like I went to bed with them and woke up with them for a couple days. Just a nagging achey pain. I don't know why but I still try and take as few pills as I can. Headache went away in about a week for me.

      @@robertmakesashow7089 Thanks for responding. You definitely have a new Subbie here! Maybe I will be brave enough to take my Buspirone this week….
      I read about the combination of melatonin and Buspar as well! I’m here for support if you need. Keep posting and be well!

      not for like 6 months but now i drink alcohol with it. That’s not a recommendation of course. My dose is really low too so perhaps it doesn’t interact so much with alcohol.
