This method is exactly why so many people mistype themselves. It can only get so far but MBTI is about the "cognitive functions" and not merely the letter dichotomies.
Of course, this is a beginner's video but I hope everyone who finds interest in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator will not be contented by personality theory alone but really study the 8 cognitive functions (and their own unique stacking) behind the 16 types. Good luck, everyone.

I'm really interested in MBTI and I'm pretty at ease with every letter signification and everything but I must admit, I don't understand a thing about the cognitive functions part, although I tried to do some research. I feel like I'm the only INFJ sometimes. All the people at my school are different types of introverts that don't necessarily socialize the way that I do and, theoretically, there are only 8 kids out of the 800 in my school that are like me. :(

I did the humanmetrics test. As with many questionnaires I have encountered, I suspect the way the questions are asked introduces a huge margin of error
1) because questions might be misunderstood
2) questions might be inaccurate, e.g. not taking temporal variation into account.
It says I'm ENFJ (mild bias in all points), but based on what is said in other videoes, I'd be very much introverted.
The results I got regarding career choices are pretty spot-on though. It told me what I already knew quite well. How? ... Throught introspection, hah! :-P
Knowing alone doesn't help me much though.
The tests are really inaccurate. I suggest just paying attention to the functions and see how you fit. Their are eight functions. You can find information about them here:

Took this test after deciding what to pursue at university, (Physics) and the outcome was INTJ which predicts a science and engineering profession. It actually describes me pretty accurately.

I am used to think that mine is ENTP, but I probably can get along really well with an INTP, at least I have tons of INTP friends, in fact my friends are 70% INTP and 30% ISTP with one ENTP, so indeed, in my case TPs are the best, except ESTP who are really too much physical for me.
Don't know if it's the case for all INTJ though.
Drak aël as a TJ I'm seen as the last person to provide emotional support for the FPs who happen to form a big percentage of my friends. I'm often perceived as cold although I'm also capable of experiencing strong emotions. I get along really well with TPs, though. Same approach to tasks, different ways of execution. Me (INTJ) and my fiancé (INTP) complement each other really well. We have never had an argument :)
Randy Rainbow For me the only INFP I know is my sister... and she's terribly annoying. Also, I agree on the fact that NTJ and NTP are made to work together, because we absolutely don't see the world in the same way, but we still all really rationnal in our reflexion.

It's good to remember that these types are more areas of spectra rather than hard categories. For instance because there are two categories where I tend to fall in the middle, I would identify as an XNXP: whether I'm extroverted or introverted and whether I try to reason something out or feel it out depends hugely on my context.
But inevitably I do rely a lot on abstraction and "fuzzy" thoughts.

You should have taken Pinkie Pie instead of Rainbow Dash.
Because:
Fluttershy is the best example you can get for describing an introvert with a pony from MLPFiM. She's often incommunicative, even when knowing the right solution to a problem and wants to share it in a group. Also, she can interact better with other animals than with her own kind.
However, the best example for an extrovert would be Pinkie Pie and not Rainbow Dash. Pinkie Pie is friends with every other pony in ponyville, even knowing their birthdays by heart. Are you not from ponyville? Pinkie Pie will notice first, because if she doesn't know you yet, you must be new. Pinkie Pie is the best choice if you need to cheer up a large group since that's what she does with all citizens of ponyville, every day, making her the representative of laughter.
Imagine your other video "What if You're the Opposite of Your Friend?", played out with ponies. I, of course, mean the part at the and with the introvert and the extrovert. Surely, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy would be a better cast than Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. Because Pinkie Pie is known for her random behaviour lots of energy and being a party animal.
On the other hand, in order to make a good and familiar contrast, Rainbow Dash might be a better choise than Fluttershy because in the show, they are both pegasi. When Rainbow Dash needs another pegasus, she often chooses Fluttershy because she has no other pony. That causes a lot of situations in which they are constantly compared to each other, making a clear identation to Fluttershy being more of an introvert.
Still, I would have chosen Pinkie Pie instead of Rainbow Dash.
tl;dr
Pinkie Pie would have been a better example for the extrovert, instead of Rainbow Dash.
I can't find the follow up video with 8 methods. These videos are incredible and I've showed them in all my classes.
I took this years ago and I remember that they sat me down and described the 3 closest types for me. I remember it cost about 300$ for the test. Not sure why I did it, but I did agree with their analysis

I took this test at that beginning of the school year in my Health Careers class. I got INFJ, and when we all got back to our seats, the speaker for that day had all of the personality descriptions. We could raise our hands and ask for him to read ours aloud. I found out that there was only one other introvert, in my ENTIRE class of nearly 30 people. What's more, is that the guy didn't have the INFJ page. He just said, "Welp, I guess I forgot that one." So, then I went home. While all the others simply discarded the information, I held onto it. I looked up INFJ. And I was ASTOUNDED with what I found. It matched me to a tee! Since that time, months have passed. While I'm almost certain that nobody else from my class remembers their result, I know that I'll never forget mine! :D Highlight of my year!

I've been professionally tested twice, and taken countless free tests; still come up only ENFP.
Look into the types. ENFPs are the most introverted of the extraverts. I personally love the net cause it gives me access to fun things, people, interesting things to read, music etc.
And many people seem to think Extraverts can't have social anxiety or be awkward and shy. Which is false. The types are more about cognitive patterns than a measure of social skills. You can be shy, awkward and anxious in dealing with people and still want to be around them.

What are the exact personality types of the two ponies depicted in this video? My theory:

I have done the test a few times before, throughout time I have always been on the line between Judging and Perceiving with a low percentage to one or the othere
I felt the same until I looked at the cognitive functions for both. I'm definitely an INFP. ;)
That means you should then look at the functions to see which ones sound right to you! (INFPs use introverted feeling while INFJs use extraverted feeling, for example).
Yeah I'm an INFP, and a heavy perciever. Got an essay on the MBTI due in 11 hours and working hard on gathering the info for the essay... Awesome video by the way, was very helpful in understanding the categories and the history

You basically got all of them right except for the thinking and feeling description. You showed the right examples for thinking but not for feeling. Feeling has nothing to do with emotion. It deals with you making decision based on values whether it’s values of your own or values of others. Thinking is making decisions based on logic. You got that right.
So other than that, great video! :)

INTP...but I do get stuff turned in on time, I just suck at planning when to do it.
A year ago I was obsessed with personality tests, and I've read a lot about Myers-Briggs. I ended up learning a lot about myself, but I'd like to offer some advice or words of caution to anyone interested in this sort of thing, particularly MBTI:
1) Myers and Briggs were amateurs, the realm of psychology is said to have a short information half-life (5 years I heard), MBTI doesn't take the Neuroticism trait into consideration AND you're likely to come up with a new personality type if you retest in a month. So take it with a grain of salt. It can still be very useful for self-discovery and self-knowledge, though!
2) To put personality tests to good use, you gotta follow up on the test by reading a lot about your type, because the only way to know if your test result was "correct" is to read more and see if you actually identify with the defining traits of that type. When you're sure about your type, you can get a lot of useful advice about all aspects of life. In particular you should learn about your functions (basically what you're best at and what you're worst at).
3) Do your research and you will grow as a person, but don't let the confines of your type limit you. Always keep an open mind, and keep growing beyond your suggested traits. Don't let other's opinions of you or your type throw you off . Know what you feel (or think) is right about you, and act accordingly. True self-knowledge is a trait of the wise.
Also, congratulations to everyone testing as INFP. Some say other people do drugs to be like us INFPs. I guess that's why I have this weird fascination for clouds, or the way the sun hits the pine trees in the morning, or the pattern in the wood grain on a table. Other people just don't get it, but I enjoy it. I can't stop dreaming and I wouldn't have it any other way :)
Know who you are, and be proud of that person! Tests are only one way to get there.

Try to do some research on cognitive functions. They are the true base of the MBTI.
Intro/extroversion on the MBTI is about internal and external stimulation and cognition.
I am both an INTP and INFP, i have a 1% lean towards Thinking over Feeling, so yeah, pretty much nonexistent difference.
