I had one that became queenless and I didn't notice. They tried to make emergency queens and failed. It's just nature doing it's thing I guess. When I have one that needs help I move them to another isolated yard and it really helps. Thanks Ricky!!
That is a perfect solution to the problem!!! I should have moved them to another bee yard with less competition. When they are being attacked it is hard to think of the best choicest. Thanks Rodney for your experience and ideas.

The hive in the very back of this video is your base and the tops is at the wood cutting building. We are looking forward to seeing you in a few months when it gets warmer..
Things may seem bad and disappointing, but it’s. Part of bee keeping and learning. So long as we learn we’ll improve, even though it doesn’t seem like it. Seems like the queen didn’t make it back from her mating flight. I don’t know about the robbing station you put out if it was too close. We usually put ours about 50 to 100meters/165 to 328feet for the hives. Also because a commercial bee keeper has bees on the back of my parents property. We don’t want his bees after our bees. Ricky, I hate to hear that. I lost one of my hives about a month ago. I believed it got robbed out as well. For now it looks like I'm going into winter with 3 hives. The horizontal hive colony is doing ok, Not as good as I would like, but this setup is all new to me. I also don't feed my bee's. Seems like the fall flow was not that great this year in my location. I wasn't able to pull any fall honey. 😞

It happens like that brother. The good thing is that you have some great drawn comb for a head start on some splits in March and April. It will be bigger and better next season.
Sorry to read about your robed out hive. I feel the same way when I lose one. 2021 was a dry year here in Providence NC. Last april looked good for the bees here. But then the dry weather started. Crimson clover and bucket started drying up. had taken off some honey to sell. Now weather not looking good for bees. Will have to started feed some sugar water to help replaced the taken honey but how keep them from robbing 2 bee lots 5 frame and 8 frame double stacked langs with 20 + hives at each lot plus some smaller lots 1.5 to 1 sugar water but only fed at dark enough fed to empty feeder by morning. this went on til late Oct. Top dry sugar fed on top all 60 hives Nov will see how many make it thru winter HOPE TO HAVE SOME NUCS TO SELL 2022 ...Building some long lang and layens hives see if I can make it easy on the old back.....Good Luck

I lost a nice hive last week because we had three days in the 70s so I opened up my hive entrances to the summer side so they could get out at the clover...one was immediately robbed out and the executed the queen. Fortunately, I decided to pull the hive and the field bees coming back from it reinforced the hive next to it which was also being robbed...this was enough to keep that one going stronger that before. Super defensive though, as I found out from walking about 20 feet away from these normally docile Georgia Peach Italians.
I feel for ya, it's a hard lesson for even the most complaisant beekeeper to become complicit to robbing by complacent feeding. My hives are all in out yards kindly far, so its a thorn in my side the whole drive home after causing the slightest case of robbing. I had a terrible experience with a feeding station that resulted in at least half of a five gallon bucket of losses do to the floating hay getting lodged and trapping them underneath. I shied away from open feeding this year completely. I even went as far as letting bees clean my wets here at the house where I don't have hives so that I wouldn't cause any robbing in my bee yards. Ps I would like to enter the raffle as well!

All I can think of is maybe don't feed near any hives, keep feed 3-4 hundred meters away from hives?? I had hives raided last year, my fault for not closing them down soon enough I think? and maybe taking too much honey off hives?
Same thing happened to me with the longer than usual warm weather. I made the same mistake of putting my wet boxes out for the bees to clean up near my hives...it attracted other bees in the area. We will both be better next year.
