Just a friendly reminder from my friend Jimmy, who was born in St. Andrews: It's the Kingdom of Fife. As for your next adventure, I'd love to see a video on Clackmannanshire, where my family came from years ago. I hope to visit there on my first trip to Scotland, in September.
I consider St. Andrews my ancestral home, and I LOVED visiting. I can't wait to go back. It's a lovely town full of wonderful people. Thanks, Martin, for sharing this.
St Andrews is gobsmacking wonderful. I spent 4 years there. It has the no 1 golf course in the world and the no 1 university in the UK (Guardian and Times university rankings 2024). The Castle and the Cathedral are great, there's some great places to eat and drink and, if you're into golf it's heaven. It also has the most difficult putting green on the planet - the Himalayas. The whole East Neuk of Fife is an absolute delight.
Aye Alex Salmond was a buddy of mine. We went tae Hamden to watch a cup final 😎 he used to disappear on weekends but never told us he was seeing his ex-boss frae the bank 😎😹 There was also an extremely right wing Tory MP by the name of Sir Desmond Swain. Me and Alex were his sworn enemies. Siobhan Redmond is an actress who used to be on TV a lot but never quite hit the heights of Emma Thompson, Fry and Lawrie who she starred in an 80s comedy series with. Aye, them was the grand days 😭😭😭
Went to university here. Amazing memories and video. Thank you

I don't know what you do for a living Martin but if it isn't filmmaking or tourism you may have missed your calling because this is excellent!
Thanks Ron! Maybe one day, there's more to come 😁
