- St Andrews, Scotland is where golf was born, and it is also home to one of the oldest universities in the world! We spent the day exploring St Andrews and the Kingdom of Fife.

Great to see you enjoying Sunday on the Old course. You should have walked all the way out to the Eden estuary then back along the beach where Chariots of Fire was filmed. Speaking of movies William & Kate did meet at the 15th century Uni in St Andrews and frequently went to that coffee shop in North Street. Just to show the TV drama the Crown is not always accurate, they have just filmed there this month (March 2023), converting that North Street cafe into a pizza parlour with Kate as a waitress (this is sheer fiction!) One detail you got wrong was the "difficulty" arriving there. If you get off the mainline train at Leuchars it is just a short 10minute cheap bus ride to St Andrews- buses meet most trains. I love the town and went to school there in the 60s. and still go to play golf there every week (not often on the Old - maybe just an annual treat!)

Wow, in the last part of the video the shots were incredible, got also quite the Ocarina of Time vibe at 14:35, looks a bit like the market place near the temple of time, lol.
