My son is very scared and doesn't feel safe to walk on the side walks he wanted me to carry him all the time. Any tips on this please.
I can't answer for your situation, but my son who is five now used to be scared of flowers and some kinds of plants, but particularly flowers and even fake flowers. For some time, walking past a specific stretch of our typical walk made him scared and I had to carry him. I often did end up carrying him, and sometimes during my less admirable moments I forced him to walk past those flowers even though he was clearly uncomfortable (because I was trying to help him learn it wasn't a threat and I didn't know how to help him best). After a while, his fear of the flowers dissipated, and he got to the point of walking past that spot without hesitation.
I will say that other difficulties have come along, and I am only now learning to go back to the mindset that he sees and experiences the world differently. I believe that one of the best pieces of advice from this video is to observe your child. Try to figure out your son's needs, join him in his world, and try to look through his lens. Then you may be better equipped to help him. I am very much a beginner at this, and even today I'm only visiting this video because I felt like I really failed today and want to try again. Press on.

Needs to go to a speech language pathologist for therapy appointments insurance might pay for it

I don't understand, my 3 years old used to talk and suddenly since June he started talking to himself and completely in his own world.
He can repeat words if you ask him to, but he only communicate by gestures.
Is this autism?
idk, as an autistic kid, I always stutter with my words, I’m also kind of in my own world sometimes when it comes to lego, I was an A and Bs students but other autistic people at my school have more Cs and Ds, my advice is to give him more confidence in his own words if he does stutter. I hope my advice helps.
