Babies, babies everywhere! Turtles and tortoises for the world to share. Longevity, perseverance, steadfast and true. Let's all appreciate them and try to be too! My Sunday morning tribute to these amazing creatures and GST. Thanks for sharing as always! 🥰💝 🐢
Oooh so many baby turtles and they are adorable! Great to see Kenan and Reese there to help you out. Great job Chris, so many babies to help save these turtles in the environment. Thanks for taking us along.
Oh, my goodness, so much preciousness. All adorable. Long tails, on the North American Wood turtles. LOL. You guys are funny :) Welcome to the world, tiny lovelies! ❤💕🐢🐢🐢🐢
This video was over the top awesome! I was at Point Pleasant this week for the sea turtle release and spoke with Laura from Jenkinson’s . We’re both huge fans of GST!!🐢🐢🐢
I have a awesome Russian Tortoise named Herman! I have had him for two years now, and he loves music and loves when we are around him and pops his head up and comes over to us, or looks for us in the room from his terrarium! If I put my hand in he runs over to me, sniffs my hand and touches me with his foot, and then climbs up! He loves being around us and comes to me when I call his name! I never knew a tortoise would be so personable! Love my tortoise!
I'm from Kansas. Eastern ornates are our state reptile. Absolutely love them. Have recently learned of the Mexican box turtles. Would definitely love to adopt a couple of those. I have taken to my kids school n shared w their class. Then moved on to share w my gkids classes. Hope to continue to do so. Thanks for reading my rant.
One thing I always wonder about you guys and Kenan and Greg is what do you do with all the baby turtles? Is there enough of a market to sell them? If they can’t legally be sold, what do you do with them? As cute as they are you’re getting a much higher survival rate than you see in nature and I imagine so many turtles creating so many eggs would get overwhelming. I believe there’s already an overpopulation of sulcatas. Do people ever cull eggs or do they just do single sex groups?
It completely depends on the species as far as how common or over saturated something might be. We don’t intentionally breed Sulcatas for example. In the case of other species like the Mexican box turtles, that’s a joint effort between us and the Turtle Survival Alliance. Half stay here to grow up and half go to them. In the case of species like them and others such as western Hermann’s, the more captive bred the better because it has proven over and over to combat the illegal poaching of adults. We run a prepaid preorder system for several of the species we breed here as part of our way of vetting potential new tortoise owners. We don’t allow impulse buying off of our website. We want you to first start a conversation with us, get a relationship going and then we want to see you have patience. This is also the reason why I stopped doing reptile shows years ago. I’m not against the shows, I just didn’t feel as though I could really vet anyone there. It’s just my personal view on how to do things.
You guys are so awesome!!! How do you get approved for these babies. I have Eastern box turtles, Eastern hermanns, Russians, stinkpots, etc. You start your babies out right! Super hydration!
Very cool...I still want to hold a baby alligator...Just because I think they are awesome. I know I would likely get bit, but have yet to have the chance.
@@joycedavis9996 My late husband would literally take a route through Louisiana that bypassed the place where you can handle baby alligators legally. It was just one of his quirks, because he would have likely tried to kill anything that made me bleed. I am allergic to bee stings, one day I came home to him and his friends removing all of the landscaping at out house. I ended up with stamped colored concrete around the house. It was truly the sweetest gesture of love...unnecessary. But there was no mowing, or trimming or edging to do.
I emailed you guys about a turtle I payed in full for in November 2022 a few days ago, what happens with that? We have everything, just need to set up when ever you’re ready to send em!!
Kenan I did bonsai for 15 years search plastic bonsai tray online perfect water dishes 1/2" Deep many sizes as bonsai are varied in size. Or for more depth as an enclosure bottom hydroponics tray 4x4 feet with an overflow bulkhead
It’s happening all the time. People are having to remember to tune in at 8am on Sundays because TH-cam isn’t recommending our videos to subscribers. We never miss a Sunday.
Literally thousands of people tell me that lol. We have a short on our channel with over 32 million views and literally ever other comment people say I sound like him to the point where they say I stole his voiceovers…

Approval depends on state as far as what’s legal to own.
@@GardenStateTortoise I am in West Virginia.
The baby Eastern Hermanns tortoise looks a little angry 👀
Would love to help someway.
Kenan crossover!
Boom 💥
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I want to know where to get that shirt. I’ll need one for every day of the week. 😂

16:02 you’re lucky Casey is on the camera or she’d beat all 3 of you. 😊
🤣🤣🤣
Since you have removed the babies that have hatched will you then remove the empty shells or leave them until they all have hatched?
The empty shells were thrown away 👍🏻

I’ll take a wood turtle ma man
🐢❤️
Wow that’s awesome!!! I’m curious is there a more precise sorting of the Hermann’s Tortoise’s when it comes to the different localities?
How long does an ornate box turtle live? Im getting different answers on that. I thought they can live 100+ years
Chris I was wondering what kind of tortoise or turtle would do well around Raleigh N.C?

I have a problem my baby red ear slider the shell by their tail is soft. All these babies are hatched in the yard. What can I do to help him.
What do you do with all those Turtles.
I live in south NJ, and I am struggling to acquire a common snapping turtle. Would it be possible to get one from you guys?
