    I haven't bought a new laptop in a while, so it was quite a surprise to me that this one involves so much work compared to older models just to get to the battery. I didn't have a clue where to start, but your tutorial came up and made everything super simple, even for someone like me who doesn't have any idea what they're doing lol Thank you so much!

    In my model, the back edge was slightly different due to the presence of a thin grid. You just need to be careful with it when unlocking using the removal tool. Other minor differences: there was only one screw in the left corner instead of two, and the three locks in the center of the back cover were absent. Everything else was identical. The instructions were essentially perfect. Thanks!

    A great thanks to you and your video. I have that exact same HP laptop. My touchpad stopped working and I noticed a bulge in my laptop. It was a swollen battery. thank you, Mr.! 👍
    very useful video. good luck for you!
    it seems a corner where RJ-45 and Power socket is the mostly weak place to remove a bottom cover (must be careful).
    also bottom cover clips were not effective (no problem with my Pavilion cw-1005ua).
    and finally... HP battery is awful... all of 3 cells are bulgy after 2 years of careful using (I'm an engineer). shame on HP (or I don't know who else).
    a battery has a problem since buying (only less then 1.5 hours of full discharge). and work time reduced down to 20 minutes only after 1.5 years of using.
    however design is quite good. off-topic note: cooler cleaning is not easy because back side of cooler air in is covered by display when closed or fully opened.

      In regards to your feedback, you are correct. I have a degree in electronics and have been working in the repair and service industry for over 17 years. It's disappointing to see how HP, once a reputable brand known for creating durable laptops, has changed its focus to maximizing profits by cutting corners and cheating consumers. This can be seen in their reverse engineering of laptops at both the component and cooling levels.
      Currently, the battery quality of HP laptops is the worst and the variety of grades ranges from low to premium, with the latter being affected by battery inflation due to the use of cheap materials in polymer batteries, causing gas accumulation and battery damage.
      Additionally, the cooling system and the poor X-clam used to connect the heatsink to the GPU or CPU is also a problem. Unlike in the past, when a strong spring was used, the current thin copper used is not effective in holding its shape and causes overheating.
      To conclude, it's best to avoid HP laptops. For good quality, consider Lenovo T, S, X, or P series laptops. And for gaming, a PC is the best option.
      If you have any future questions or requests, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'll be happy to assist you.

    Good video but you just removed the battery and put it back in. You should put in a replacement battery and see the issues that arise with the replacement!☹Things like continuous flashing power light, charging and discharging to optimise it etc.

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your feedback. The purpose of the video was to demonstrate how to replace and remove the battery. If you're experiencing issues beyond battery replacement, such as continuous flashing power lights or charging problems, those might be related to power regulator issues on the motherboard. In such cases, you may want to search for specific troubleshooting videos like 'why my laptop icon says connected but not charging' or 'power light flashing.'
      I'll consider creating separate videos to address these specific issues in the future. Additionally, it's worth noting that for laptop batteries, it's a good practice to charge and discharge them once every two months. Charge for 4 hours and discharge slowly until it reaches 20%. Thanks for watching!

    I tried...it's not that easy 😒😒🙄 Maybe because I have not the right tool to open the case, I very carefully tried using a smooth knife. But it's too dangerous.I refrained from trying. I'll buy a plastic tool for opening.

      @@uFixTek Thank you very much!
      What should I do if after cleaning it and turning it on it said: The CMOS checksum is invalid. The CMOS will be reset to default configuration and will be rebooted. Please check your BIOS Setup to see if they have changed.
      CMOS 502
      Press enter to reboot
      But after I pressed enter it turned off, then I tried turning it on again and it turned on.
      Now everytime I turn it on it shuts off after 3 seconds, the second turn on it does turn on completely.
      Thanks
      Edit: already rested the BIOS and still the same

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      is your main battery working?, does it charge and holds up at least 5min of charge. because the only time that you get the msg when you power on about the "bios default" is because the main battery was drained or removed for few sec. the MSG is just a notice, its not a big deal. except it delays the startup.
      if you battery is connected and holdup charge, then update the bios from the hp website.
