Lányos Lined Zipper Pouch - with zipper tabs and boxed corners
I was sewing a few Zipper Pouches for Christmas and I thought I would share my work with you! This time I used zipper tabs and boxed the corners so that my pouches would stand up on their own. For this project we shall discuss the difference between making zipper pouches and zipper pouches with zipper tabs and boxed corners. We will talk again double sided tape and sewing machine feet.
This is a good start for beginner bag makers as probably half of the bag patterns you will use will employ a "zipper tabs" and "boxing corners" techniques like shown here.
REQUIRED SUPPLIES:
10" zipper
2 pieces of outer fabric 10" x 8"
2 pieces of lining fabric 10" x 8"
2 pieces of interfacing 10" x 8" either Pellon ShapeFlex SF101 or Pellon P987F Fusible Fleece or another substitution of your choice.
2 pieces of outer fabric 2" x 3" for zipper tabs
