I'm going to name him Sherlock Watson Holmes, because the pet store says he's the smartest kitten there~ (He always tries to escape by picking the lock, he succeeded a couple times and they had to change the lock to a more complex one!)
good info just got a feral kitten he's probably 9 weeks old or just about 9 weeks within 24 hours i had him fairly hand friendly within 48 hours he tolerates though little at a time being picked up he's still not good on the floor and he gets grumpy if he's tired but he seems to be taming up really nice thanks to this video i now know i can work with him more in this fashion soon for this being my first cat ever i think im doing pretty good with him

I found an abused/abandoned stray at a house I used to live; the vet later said she was likely 4 years old. It took 4 months of slowly working, but she came to love me unconditionally, so yes, I would say if you are patient, you can win over an adult cat, too.
I just received my very first kitten Monday the 18th of March of 2019. Before that I took care of this adult cat for one month, I scooped his litter box out six times a day & cleaned it out once a week. emptied it, bleached it, rinsed it out with scalding hot water, then dried it with paper towels after I added fresh litter to it. I am now training her, I named her Lacus from the anime Gundam Seed, I am now tranning her now to use the litter box, it is a bitch, but yeah, she is six weeks and four days old, she shits & pisses in it, but she does not cover it up. I am hoping she will eventually learn to cover it up, so I will not have to do it. But next time I am not going to empty it or cover it up I am hoping she will, I have been teaching her how. If she does not learn how to cover it, I may have to purchase the Simply Clean, self-cleaning litter box. But, even though I am a pessimist I sure hope she learns to cover her shit & piss. I have both read & heard of people taking kittens from six to eight weeks.
I have a kitten who is 7 weeks now. I started gentling here a couple days ago but she still bites and cries. She is very uneasy about the whole thing. I try to massage her slower but she just wants to run away or bite me.

I think that's a very short name for a cat. A good cat name at least has 5-10 words or 40 syllables.
This is so good to know. Kittens are so tiny, and we are afraid sometimes to do this kind of gentling.

Thats because she is too young to be separated from her mom she has to be at least 14 weeks old to be separated
