Very cool Paul. I have not tried one of these in years. I have rarely seen them, wasn't sure they were still around. I have been burnt with certain FRH'S. We are too used to normal MRE versions, LOL. That one from Total Prepare meals, left blisters. Think I still got one left? LOL. Not tried fig bars in Yrs. I used to love them, even if A little grainy. Shame some items showed age. Good looking meal. Glad you ate enough to get by. Peace, John.
I've bought cases of XMREs over the years from Amazon, when they are willing to ship them to me (Hawaii) for a reasonable price. They're good quality, and keep for years, even in my high heat and humidity (up to the 90s indoors in summers). I wish I could find MREs with real meat in them like C-rations used to have, not this textured vegetable protein.
Just a heads up to everyone: I saw a post on Reddit where a guy bought a case of meal kit supply MREs and the whole inside of the case was filled with mold. The guy bought them because steve endorse them. He posted on a Steve group and it got deleted. Idk if it was Steve that did the deleting. I want to think that it wasn't Steve. IDK tho. Be very careful buying from meal kit supply. The only switch out one of two cases for the poor guy. Dont seem to reputable to me

Fyi if yoy ever get a FRH that doesn't work put the salt packet in the water and shake it. Sometimes you can get them to work that way.
