Oak: I want to return this horse to regain my honor. Also Oak: *steals from a saddle bag* Also Oak: *creeps up on some ladies outside the saloon* ALSO OAK: SHOOTS AN INNOCENT GUY IN THE FUCKING BACK. Most dramatic escalation in the shortest amount of time I’ve ever seen! I’m dying 😂😂😂😂
It's a game designed to be lived in, not as linear as Detroit, so there is a lot of things to do and explore outside the main story. You can easily spend several hundred hours before finishing the game.
That being said, I think one of em' (not answer), should've just done a playthrough instead of sharing. On top of it all, Answer would drive me up the fking wall constantly being a backseat gamer.
@@Jason_Van_StoneI agree that multiple people playing makes it harder cuz each person has to learn (or relearn) the controls; I always forget when I don’t play for a while. That said, I dunno how else they can do this so the others are also involved. I have never seen a gaming channel try to play this game with multiple people so I can’t think of a better way to approach a single player game like this.
I agree it may get frustrating as a viewer, but with more plays they will get the hang of it. Maybe before filming they should each do a non story practice run since it's avery free roam game. Each will get good practice with the controls and get a better idea of what the game is about.
minutes later he counters a flurry of punches with a headbutt sending his opponent to the 5th dimension, and no one reacted to it, thats how you know Oak day to day is an absolute unit to behold, bounds unkown and weaknesses yet to be found. Whether a mans walking away, hanging from a cliff, or throwing haymakers with his britches around his legs Oak sends them to meet the great man upstairs with no regrets. lmao legend
To answer Mason Quinn, you don't really have a timer to do things in missions. You can take as long or as short as you want, you won't get punished for it. There might be 1 or 2 missions where, if you hang around in the area too long after you've completed the mission (maybe it was a shootout with a gang), the law will turn up and you'll have to escape them. But that's about it
Most missions have a pretty easily defined "last thing to do/pick up" to end the mission; THAT is the ideal time to loot. As soon as you DO finish the current mission; the law will start to investigate and if spotted you will be wanted (so you basically HAVE to leave.) But until the end of the mission there's no innocent bystanders loading into the world to discover all the corpses and destruction you've caused, you'll have a good feeling for when missions are ending by the end of chapter 2 at the latest (there's very few jumpscares at the end of missions; but a few mid mission "OMG WTF how did that happen?" moments.)
And while looting, use the hunting Eagle eye (L3&R3 together) and anything you can pick up or search or otherwise interact with will glow to see easier. You can miss a LOT of cool stuff otherwise
Just a tip for the weapon wheel. When you are navigating the menu. HOLD the joystick in the direction you need it. Mason Quinn flicks the stick to try to move it to the tonics. You have to hold the stick in the direction of what you want and then release.
To help with shooting: once you aim, it auto puts you on an enemy. Once you’ve shot them, you can let go of the aim button, and repress. This will re-aim you to a new target
@provokedfob some of us want to actually see them complete the game. And nobody takes you free aim freaks seriously it's just funny everytime you complain about it more
TIPS: 1) Use your in game map in the menu to check the destinations between missions and other locations. You can also put a waypoint anywhere you want to go to have directions in your minimap/compass. 2) The main story missions (yellow) can always be started even if you have a bounty so you just have to make sure to not get spotted by the lawmen on the way to the missions. Also side missions (white) are not a priority but can be played at any point of the game. 3) Easiest way to pay off your bounty would be by finding a gold bar in a burned down sheriff's building near your camp, it's called Limpany on the map. Then you have to take a train or stagecoach from Valentine to Saint Denis and sell the gold bar at Fence. Remember that you can pay off your bounty at any post office on the map.
@@joakimberg7897 and play the game like crap ? One or streamers should play only if they have active gaming knowledge and can easily understand the game. This is not a game where you just stay on track and then end the story like games from 2000s.
This game lets you play however you want to a degree but remember your choices matter and will have consequences. Combat tips: -Make use of covers by pressing R1 -Don't shy away from using Dead Eye (R3) -Dead Eye has a gauge next to your Stamina-the fuller it is the more time you have for slo mo
This is probably not the best video for me to wake up to, but let's start this day the red dead way. I guess that means smacking my head watching these guys figures out the controls as I try to cope with the wild shift I got ahead of me, haha. LET'S GO!
You guys should hit pause and open your map screen to get an idea of where to go and what to do. You travelled to an entirely different region of the game world to hit up the first side quest, the story won’t take you there for a while. The names are side characters in the camp that you can meet for missions.
Honestly that’s half the fun for me. But it’s mostly because I’ve been getting my mom back into games and she’s 10x worse than the guys. So for me its endearing and funny watching them struggle a bit, but with my mom, after 2 hours, I’m just staring at the screen silently, dead inside, as she’s completing her 20th circle in the same building, missing the stairs shes supposed to go up every time. The only fun I get out of watching her at that point is psychologizing… “she’s not blind but it’s as if she is… it’s as if she took 10 tabs of acid and cannot discern any the scenery as separate parts of a whole. Or maybe her brain registers the stairs as not stairs…”
A little advice from someone that has played through this game a few times, do all of the stranger missions as they appear. They show up as white markers with question marks in them. In my opinion, they enhance the game a great deal :).
All of the stranger missions? The main story is already long enough, this play through is gonna take years if they do all the optional stuff too. Especially at the rate these guys are playing at 😂
@@Ari19904there’s one or two that make the game wayyy better if you know what I mean, I guess I just didn’t want to spoil anything by being too specific lol cause you’re right I guess some of them do drag on
Dude most stranger missions are garbage and its just busy work. I agree with this other guy the main story is long enough especially if we only get a 2 hr video once a week.
@@Ari19904 I do have to agree - as much as I adore a lot of the stranger missions, I'm most eager for them to experience the main story. Would hate for them to get burned out from too much content before getting halfway through Arthur's arc 😂
When you are riding on a given path (or you set yourself a waypoint on the map)you hold the x button and then you can switch to the cinematic camera (if you dont move press x again try a few times )and it will autopilot ride you to your destination, so you can focus on the conversations and can view the beautful surrounding, learn that ! it made the game so much more enjoyable (at least for me). Please guys upvote so they can see it, everyone wins when they learn how to do this
To add to what you said when using Cinematic, always need to be mindful of at times crashing into NPCs, getting randomly ambushed by enemies or attacked by Predators, other than that Cinematic is fine 👍🏽.
@@Viqtor he just acts like a primadonna, yet he screws up as well. Constantly nagging or just HAVING to put in his two cents on his decision when he's not playing. Let them play, relax!! That being said. Oak or Quin should've just did this game solo. I don't see rdr2 being a "shareable" game.
Next time the bounty hunters find you…. You can turn urself in to get rid of the bounty or if you ever get into trouble the officers will actually tell you get ur hands up and you can look at them and press either square or o to give urself up or turn urself in and then you stay a night in jail and the bounty ends up being cleared. You can pay it at the post office but you guys don’t have the money. All you gotta do is let them capture you when the bounty hunters find you or are in the area loooking for you. Any officer you see that gets you wanted you can turn and look at them to try and either convince him to let you go or you can surrender and ur bounty will be 0$. Hope this helps and makes sense.
Quinn's thoughts on the radial wheel being unintuitive is hilarious to me, because the wheel itself was made specifically to be more intuitive. It's made to be an easy item/weapon slot swap without having to pause the game every 5 seconds and enter a tedious menu. 🤣Guess he just needs more time with it.
I truly appreciate seeing people who aren’t “gamers” play games. This is an amazing game, and Arthur Morgan rivals the best film protagonists. Loving this journey with you guys.
When traveling with a companion, if you hold the accelerate button instead of tapping, your horse will match speed with those around you. Great videos, I’m looking forward to seeing the rest!!
Man that first video where oak fell off the top of the water tower absolutely kills me to this day 😂 Love you guys look forward to this one, let's goooo 👊
About The customization: The hair and beard growls like real life, day after day... so feel free to cut It, style It, and trim the beard anyway you want
But like reality, and unlike GTA, you can't just have a barber grow it longer . Hair, and beard, both need time to grow out. If you go cleanshaven, that's a one way thing until it grows out again. That is still pretty novel even all these years later.
A piece of advice I can give is, it's good to go to your option screen and select MAP, that gives you an entire view of your location and surroundings, you can also set way points to go to any destination you want.
Non- spoiler tips: 1, while riding a horse and to stay in sync with your crews formation hold down the A button on Xbox controller/ whatever that would be on PS5. 2, having high/ low honor level does have a heavy effect on the overall story / gameplay there may be missions you can do with high honor and missions you may not be able to do because of low honor and vice versa. 3, always have gun oil on you and keep your weapons clean. 4, keep your horse brushed and clean because it does affect the horses overall stamina. 5. 95% of the time you can approach and handle any battle during the mission the way you want to so if the shoot N cover isn't working like during the train Heist section then charge right at em like rambo lol dependent upon your melee weapon there's different finisher moves .
2 things: First, you can always do a quest, no matter how big your bounty is, unless someone is running after you at the exact moment and some other specific quests. Second, I recommend you to play like many others. If you see that you don't know what you wanna do, go to the map, mark the place, and ride the horse there. That's the thing with open world games, so many things to see, that in the end you don't know what to do which means you do nothing.
I think it might be useful for you all to play the first couple of hours again on your own so you can get familiar with the controls. The game is amazing but there’s a lot to learn at the beginning and it can be challenging for a solo player, triple so for you guys. And I’d recommend doing the white missions before the yellow missions. The white missions disappear if you progress the story too much and and the yellow missions are story missions. In regards to freedom. You can do what you want. Go ride out and explore and hunt for a couple of hours if you want. Everyone who loves this game will want you to experience as much as possible and there’s so much to see that’s not mission based.
Couple tips, X - You can turn yourself in to the gaurds in town and do jailtime instead of paying off the bounty.. you just have to put your gun back in its holster for them to know you want to turn yourself in.. X - You can whistle your horse and if its within hearing range, it'll come running and you don't have to go find it. X - when you click pause, there is a map on that menu page. you can select a destination and then it'll give you directions on the mini map to get you there. X - There are main quests, side quests, sudden quests (like the guy stuck in the trap), leveling up quests, unlockables quests and so many more... X - I would definitely recommend dividing turns by 30 minutes at a time each or something cause no one quest is the same amount of time, and the world being extremely open means you'll never be limited to only a certain amount of time for one quest.. or rarely... I had lots of fun watching! the controls took me some getting used to too but once you get the hang of them, its lots of fun! you got this!
Careful talking over the characters while in mission you will eventually miss critical information if not listening to the gang members while riding along during missions. Greats Vids!!!
Oak: I just want to return the horse to restore my honor! Also Oak: Let’s shoot everyone because guy bumped me! Proceeds to rack up bounty of $75 😅 Love it!😂
Lads plz use the map in the pause menu, you can set a marker and your minimap will lead you to where it is. In-between missions you're free to do whatever you want like hunting and exoloring, the game isn't going to punish you for ignoring the main story to do what you want
PLEASE READ GUYS: When aiming keep reclicking the aim button once you've shot them, as long as you are looking in the general direction of an enemy it will auto lock onto them, also Deadeye is not just used for slow motion, while in dead eye aim at an enemy and a cross will appears which signifies where your bullet will hit, you can make multiple hit spots while in deadeye and can upgrade it because its a skill arthur has, but once you have the crosses on the enemy while in dead eye you pull the trigger and arthir auto shoots them, you can actually take out like 10 guys in a second with deadeye when you get good enough and upgrade it enough 😊 dont worry once you guys get the feel of this incredibly detailed world the real action will start haha but its truly mind boggling how much detail and how alive the world is, truly think tgis is the best game ever made period.❤ P.S in gun Fights USE COVER you can still shoot from cover you just hold the aim button and arthur will pop out of cover as long as you hold the aim button and once youve let it go he will automatically go back behind the cover 😊
Just found your channel recently, and this playthrough looks like a lot of fun. Enjoy the ride guys, this is certainly one of(if not the best)best games of all time. I was really astonished the first time I played it, this game never fails to impress with details.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is truly a unique experience. I wish I could erase my memories and go through it one more time, I truly envy you guys 😂 If Red Dead ever gets adapted outside of the gaming scene, it definitely deserves a long and well-thought-out series and not a film. There is so much content, so much that can be explored, that only a good amount of seasons would do it any justice. Regarding Dutch's voice cracks, I always interpreted that as an artistic choice, 100% intentional *(considering Rockstar Games aimed for absolute perfection with this game).* Think of it as a way to show, through Benjamin Byron Davis's *(Dutch's VA)* brilliant acting skills, how much of an emotional leader he is... right from the start.
It really doesn't need to be adapted to film. The game itself is an adaptation of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, which would be a good Badd Medicine film for them to watch when they complete the game
Agreed, a multi season tv series covering each chapter would be awesome but would limit the episode count to like 8-10 episodes to not drag out story too long as it is 👍🏽.
@@joshstevens2779Have to disagree with you, this game would be great as a tv series with this specific story, world and characters plus will broaden Red Dead 2s audience especially to those who don’t play video games.
@@Auth0R_M0RGaN well it's been done with Witcher so I won't say it's impossible, but it's not something R* has ever done and I'm sure their protective of this IP. And like I said this is already an adaptation of Butch Cassidy, there are some sequences that are shot for shot ripoffs of that movie already. If they did it, I'm only on board if they get all the original mocap actors from the games.
@@joshstevens2779You maybe right about Rock* being protective now about their IP but Max Payne was adapted into a film so it’s not unprecedented for them to get a TV series to be greenlit. Also aside from Butch & Sundance, chapter 1 is pretty much Hateful 8, Red Dead 2 takes inspiration and copies scene for scene stuff too but again, this is still a different story and not many will go back to older films like Butch & Sundance and may give Red Dead 2 a chance but even if it does get adapted, hope the story is done justice.
One thing fellas, there are places where you can find hidden gold bars. If you find some or all you can buy almost anything in game. It might be worth it too look up where to find those bars, and how to sell them. And you won't have to forage money and supplies off bodies any more. AND DO NOT SHARE THE MONEY.
Arthur is one of the best characters written in stories really. For a video game, the plot is very touching and deep and it got me so caught up with the tragic end. My advice is to keep a high honour, because honour and choices affects the course of the story and in my opinion you get the best ending by having a high honour. For example if you had saved the man in valentine that you left fall off the cliff you would have gotten a reward and a nice funny cutscene. But there are 3 different courses of the story according to the choices you make
Loot as much as possible Explore as much as possible No rush to complete missions unless specified Enjoy all side missions Interact with fellow gang members at camp Talk to strangers This game is amazing
And no, oak is not the first person to get a bounty but might be first to get a bounty this fast 😂 I think now you have to work to get the money to pay it off. Which you can do a 100 different ways. Robbing is probably not the wisest decision, but hunting and selling the animals might be. Could also work as a bountyhunter yourselves or just do missions. Not sure about the other options (but I'm pretty sure there's a shit ton of them) - I only ever played red dead online for a few hours but got griefed by cheaters way too much.
I'm so glad you guys are playing this game, it's beautiful. I like how you guys are playing round robin, y'all are cracking me up! My fiance saw spoilers and he now refuses to progress. Good luck and have fun, fellas!
Some tips for bounties and wanted stuff: - if you die in the town you are wanted, (you become wanted if you escape the town), the wanted level will go away -the bounty doesnt go away until you pay it off at mail stations -bounty hunters will hunt you while you roam the open world until you pay off any bounties you have -being wanted only affects your ability to start missions if you are actively being hunted by bounty hunters or in combat with the law
I know by nature you want to live as an outlaw and stuff but the better outcome for you guys and the character lies in doing good deeds and keeping honor high
Hey guys, few handy things. (I haven't finished it yet so idk if you guys figured it out already) You can go open a full map to see where towns and things are that you need to do. When ever you are not in a mission, you pretty much have full freedom to explore as much as you guys want. Yellow spots are main missions or spots you have to go to. White marks are optional. You don't have to feed the horses, or yourself. It's only to up your health, stamina, and deadeye. Deadeye, the slow-motion Oak had figured out, is a slow-motion feature to slow down the game, but when you aim at a body (creature or person) it will mark them with an "X". Once you stop using the deadeye, Arthur will basically auto-aim on all of them and shoot them as many times as you've marked them. You can mark them multiple times as well. Also I'd love to state that choices DO matter. Just like in detroit. Maybe not as much because this has a set story, but the honor system is important. It will have effect later on in the game. (I hope that's not a spoiler >.
I like to watch these playthroughs from others mainly for the story. This is one of the best and perhaps very best open world games. Seeing how two out of three are struggling early, I'm just happy that they're playing this. I'm on my third full playthrough right now, trying to actually get a lot things within the game, and actually going for a low honor ending. I will not be disappointed if Bad Medicine miss a lot of side missions or stranger meetings, like i say, I'm in it for the main story overall when watching these, but if the gamer gets a lot of strangers and side missions in that is cake to enjoy. Hope y'all continue to enjoy this game/story even if it's difficult for ya, Oak, Mason, And Answer!
The game has a learning curve to the controls, but also there's a learning curve to the movements of the characters. The game at times has to allow for certain animations to occur before moving onto the next. So, for example if you see a prompt to interact with something, and you hit "X" or "A" or whatever key depending on what console. Hit the prompt and allow the game to follow through with the animations and Arthur will engage with whatever he's interacting with, or if you're turning him around, or trying to move around an object, point the stick in the direction but don't overcompensate. The key thing to this game is you have to be PATIENT with the movement and controls. I see people all the time that hit the button and because Arthur is doing what they want immediately they start spamming the shit out of the buttons! Just be real thorough with everything you do, like take it one step at a time, type of deal. The game is not Call of Duty or a game with a fast frame rate and instant button response. When riding on horse fast, or your caught up in a gunfight while on horseback, newbies will freak out, not know how to control the horse and shoot at the same time and so they just start flailing everywhere and get frustrated cause they can't do what they want. JUST always keep in mind that the R1 or LB bumper is to reign in your horse at all times, and always approach those situations patiently and slowly! A lot of new players get frustrated cause there not use to the movement and controls. However you play long enough and it just "clicks." I have over 300 hours clocked and at this point I find the controls to be the tightest, most responsive and some of the best controls of any game I've ever played. It has a "FEEL" to it, no other game provides.
Guys, please put subtitles on the speaker, it will be easier for you to remember all the characters and do not forget to look through the diary of the main character!
The game is amazing because it let's you choose between being a full outlaw or a good outlaw that treats people right. Like the dude you dropped from the cliff, if you help him, a scene happens that I put up there as top 10 badass Arthur Morgan moments.
Watching them struggle is so endearing lol I love this series so much, also if you want to make sure you're aiming clear Everytime, make sure your CORES are full and not red. Cores meaning the actual icons of health, stamina, and dead eye.
Missions will be locked if the law is actively investigating or pursuing you, otherwise you will still be able to do the missions. The map will show you which areas of the game you currently have a bounty in and you can pay it off in any post office so bounty hunters stop pursuing you. There’s a ton of ways to make money don’t worry too much about a 75$ bounty though it could definitely get worse. If you ever end up in a shootout like that again and don’t want to get a huge bounty try not to kill people as every kill will add to the bounty. You guys are doing great though don’t worry about not knowing the controls or even not knowing what to do, you can do pretty much what you want when you want
wow!! i absolutely enjoyed every moment of this video! feeling bad for poor Quinn at start **hug** & "we just robbed a train we not got time to read!" Oak's "just relax!!" about the clothing & the pipe 😂Quinn & Answer's look they give Oak at 1:37:47 after what happened, i also laughed as loud as Oak did when Answer smacked into the tree! 🤣this content was entertainment gold! thanks guys! ❤
Fucking hell!! I almost never watch a full gameplay walkthrough of any type of games aside from the badd medicine crew and my goodness did I have a fucking laugh watching this gameplay, especially!! This was too good.... Not Oak starting a shootout at the bar though and riding off hahahaha
There is no direct answer to the question - usually, when you kill a lot of folks in their hideout you have some time to loot but soon the law starts approaching, to investigate the situation so, it is preferable to combine shooting and looting and leave as little bodies to loot as possible for the end. Also, in the future, when you have a shootout where there are enemy buildings, you have to plan some time for looting the buildings, especially fireplaces so be mindful of that too
The bounty is story driven. It will go away once you progress some more in the main missions. Stop doing side work since you guys are this fresh to the game. The map is massive. Missions will take you everywhere. Mark the location “Menu Map” and a GPS route will show you the way on your minimap. Ie, that white marker you realized was a lot further than you initially thought. The locked side mission is because you are not progressed through enough of the main story missions. Go do a few of them until you directed to newer parts of the map.
Watching oak's skill improve drastically in hogwarts legacy its nice to see him giving Quinn encouragement when Quinn is struggling with controls 😅 I think this game will truly test Quinn and improve his gaming skills, we all know answer is already a semi-pro gamer!
You can open the map in the pause menu and put waypoints on missions. Yellow missions are main missions, and white are side missions (These can also be a quest line, not just single missions). Some missions will only be playable at certain times of day (In-game time). I recommend doing as many side quests as you can before you reach the end. Depending on when you do these side quests you'll have different dialogue. Keep an eye on your minimap for small white circles, little events that can spawn randomly throughout the world that can get you some extra honour or be something fun. And yeah the inventory is a bit strange, but give it some time and it'll become second nature. Obviously, it's your playthrough. Make your own choices. But I do recommend being honourable. Your honour will impact how NPCs interact with you, some of the dialogue changes and even some outcomes during the story could be different. There are SO many interactions you can have just at the camp throughout the story that builds upon the Van Der Linde gang. These interactions can also vary depending on the time of day. This game is a very immersive experience with a world that changes over time. Take your time and have some fun.
Tbh I love you guys but this game is gonna be a rough ride for you guys no pun intended, I don’t think you guys can enjoy this game in all its glory without making it seem like its a soulsborne play through with a massive amount of deaths and lost/wasted time. Until dawn is definitely the better choice of game for your skill levels and the type of games you guys should play. You guys don’t even know how to shoot in a game thats 90% shooting…thats funny for a while but this is a 100 hour game guys. And passing the controller might not be the best way for learning in this game
Thank you. I hate bad players blaming the game more than anything… I try to be patient and understanding but at some point I just can’t anymore specially if they blame the game. Had to stop watching these gaming videos even though I‘d love to stick around…
Think reality when you play this game and reality isn’t charging gun in hand at everyone. Take cover, take aim, shoot, kill and move! A bullet to the head is the same at the beginning as at the end! Red Dead is an amazing story experience with gameplay attached in the most immersive open world yet built! Read your journal regularly to get a different perspective on Arthurs thoughts and talk to your fellow gang members in camp. There is more dialogue in this game than you will ever hear.
It’ll help yall to enjoy it more if you remember that this is an open world game; outside the missions, you can go wherever you want, you can do almost anything you want. Just take it slow and don’t think of it as a linear experience like Detroit. Love the series so far, excited for more ❤
Hey just a few things: 1. You can pay your bounty at the post office (Use the mask more often to prevent that from happening so much) 2. Use de Deadeye. Always. It's the most broken superpower ever 3. Roaming freely is just as important as following missions 4. If you want big money, follow the main story, you end up with the net worth of Tim Cook 5.ñ Open map, yellow bubbles are missions 6. There is a Save File log in the menu from where you can retry some checkpoints I dont mean to backseat but it seemed like it could help
This game rewards patience and a deliberate pace better than any other game i’ve ever played, so take your time looking around, exploring, and finding everything this game has to offer. It lets you know when there’s a sense of urgency to things, and when you can take your time to do what you want somewhere away from the main story line. The story itself dictates how fast it expects you to go in a very natural way. Usually you’ll have time to clean up after a mission, but if you’ve caused enough of a disturbance or there’s witnesses to what happens don’t be surprised if the authorities show up while you’re looting and you have to get away from a place quickly, but the game typically gives you enough time to do at least a semi-thorough looting before you have to get out of dodge. Controls are tough if you’re unfamiliar with them, but especially early on it gives you tool tips more often than not on how things work. The gameplay mechanics are almost identical to GTAV, so if you’re familiar with that you’ll get used to things quickly. Remember, it’s not really supposed to be an action shooter, so don’t expect fast-twitch controls from FPS games to work. Use the cover mechanics and aiming aids to your advantage, running around staring down the sights of a weapon isn’t a realistic way of moving about. Think of L2 as bringing up your weapon to aim from a neutral position, it will get you in the vicinity of what you’re aiming at and “lock” on to a target. You move more efficiently when you’re not aiming, and switching between targets is quicker if you return to a neutral stance before you try and aim again (release L2). Once you’re “locked” on a target, you can fine-control your aim for more efficient kills, or even disarming an enemy. Just lock on, flick the stick up a little and you’ll get a lot more headshots and waste less ammo. Your deadeye will evolve as the game progresses and you increase your skills, eventually allowing you to be more specific about where you hit things. Have fun, take your time, and prepare for some of the best characters and story ever written for a game.

33:29 - Until Dawn Installed... *Nice!!!*
Everytime after killing someone release the aim button and press the aim button again for it to lock unto an enemy.
Makes aiming tons easier!
The yellow things are main missions, the white are side quests, and ……. THERE IS A MAP
Oak: I want to return this horse to regain my honor.
Also Oak: *steals from a saddle bag*
Also Oak: *creeps up on some ladies outside the saloon*
ALSO OAK: SHOOTS AN INNOCENT GUY IN THE FUCKING BACK.
Most dramatic escalation in the shortest amount of time I’ve ever seen! I’m dying 😂😂😂😂
What a mess 😂😂
Innocent guy? Nah not innocent

Yeah I like to stick around in Chapter 2-3 and hunt and fish and get in fist fights
Yes, it's not at all boring. Mason needs to get with it.
Quinn struggling so hard in the beginning is killing😂😂😂
I couldn’t stop laughing
Old man just needs practice. They all do. Except Answer.
@@rostikskobkariov5136 hahaha true true... I love the dynamic in gameplay between the lads!

Stanger: "I aint doing this with you right now"
Dark Oak: "But I am"😈
minutes later he counters a flurry of punches with a headbutt sending his opponent to the 5th dimension, and no one reacted to it, thats how you know Oak day to day is an absolute unit to behold, bounds unkown and weaknesses yet to be found. Whether a mans walking away, hanging from a cliff, or throwing haymakers with his britches around his legs Oak sends them to meet the great man upstairs with no regrets. lmao legend
And it was badass😂
Such a quick and sudden shot 😂
I’m with Oak on this one, I tried to kill the guy as well on my first playthrough. No one should be threatening a woman like that
Darth oak
To answer Mason Quinn, you don't really have a timer to do things in missions. You can take as long or as short as you want, you won't get punished for it. There might be 1 or 2 missions where, if you hang around in the area too long after you've completed the mission (maybe it was a shootout with a gang), the law will turn up and you'll have to escape them. But that's about it
Tell that to the guy on the cliff😂😂😂😂
@@mannhollowayJimmy Brooks. I will remember that, I got a good memory
And then release L1 yes.
To help with shooting: once you aim, it auto puts you on an enemy. Once you’ve shot them, you can let go of the aim button, and repress. This will re-aim you to a new target

Watching oak meander through the store and burn through the cash like wilma flintstone with fred's credit card was painfully hilarious 😂😂😂
Painfully hilarious is how I'd describe a lot of what they're doing so far in the game :D
TIPS:
1) Use your in game map in the menu to check the destinations between missions and other locations.
"All you had to do was follow the damn train CJ!"

Sometimes it's extremely infuriating to see them struggling with basic tasks like finding their way back to town while they’re in the goddamn town
Oak: Turns the horse away from the grouped buildings and rides out into the wilderness. 'Where's the town?'
Did anyone else notice the “Until Dawn Installed” pop up!! SO EXCITED FOR THAT PLAYTHROUGH!!!

A few tips: listen to what your gang members talk, listen to the npc:s. There is a map. Pick up herbs. Be nice to your horse. Read Arthur's journal.

What? I’ve never realised this. I always just escaped the bounty hunters or killed them 😂 and after that just payed the bounty
1. Pull up your map
2. Go back to camp
3. Cursive yellow letters denotes story related quest

About The customization:
The hair and beard growls like real life, day after day... so feel free to cut It, style It, and trim the beard anyway you want
But like reality, and unlike GTA, you can't just have a barber grow it longer . Hair, and beard, both need time to grow out. If you go cleanshaven, that's a one way thing until it grows out again. That is still pretty novel even all these years later.
@@Stymnus1tonic and sleep three times and you can grow it really quickly.
Guys open the big map on the menu. It will give you a sense of direction.
A piece of advice I can give is, it's good to go to your option screen and select MAP, that gives you an entire view of your location and surroundings, you can also set way points to go to any destination you want.
Accidentally shooting people and then panicking when all hell breaks loose is just part of the learning process in this game. 😂
ABSOLUTELY my favorite game and they are crushing it ❤
2 things:
First, you can always do a quest, no matter how big your bounty is, unless someone is running after you at the exact moment and some other specific quests.
You guys are amazing...three minds, and somehow you do the wrong thing EVERY SINGLE TIME. I love it and hate it
Couple tips,
X - You can turn yourself in to the gaurds in town and do jailtime instead of paying off the bounty.. you just have to put your gun back in its holster for them to know you want to turn yourself in..
1 of the many pet peeves they keep doing..
Oak: I just want to return the horse to restore my honor!
Also Oak: Let’s shoot everyone because guy bumped me!
Proceeds to rack up bounty of $75 😅
Love it!😂
ive been anxiously waiting for this and my "patience" has been rewarded :)
I wish I could erase my memories and go through it one more time, I truly envy you guys 😂
If Red Dead ever gets adapted outside of the gaming scene, it definitely deserves a long and well-thought-out series and not a film.
But there are 3 different courses of the story according to the choices you make
Loot as much as possible
Explore as much as possible
No rush to complete missions unless specified
Enjoy all side missions
Interact with fellow gang members at camp
Talk to strangers
This game is amazing
Guuuuuyyysssss Maaaaapppppp there's a maaaappppp 😂
And no, oak is not the first person to get a bounty but might be first to get a bounty this fast 😂 I think now you have to work to get the money to pay it off. Which you can do a 100 different ways. Robbing is probably not the wisest decision, but hunting and selling the animals might be. Could also work as a bountyhunter yourselves or just do missions. Not sure about the other options (but I'm pretty sure there's a shit ton of them) - I only ever played red dead online for a few hours but got griefed by cheaters way too much.
Oh and pretty sure you can just stay low for a couple of in-game hours, not get caught and they'll forget about it.
I'm so glad you guys are playing this game, it's beautiful. I like how you guys are playing round robin, y'all are cracking me up!
My fiance saw spoilers and he now refuses to progress. Good luck and have fun, fellas!
Watching you guys play this absolute masterpiece of a game makes me want to start a new playthrough, been some years since i played it.
I love the dialogue that you get from Arthur if you choose to help him off the cliff.
"I got a REAL GOOD memory, Jimmy Brooks."
Some tips for bounties and wanted stuff:
- if you die in the town you are wanted, (you become wanted if you escape the town), the wanted level will go away
-the bounty doesnt go away until you pay it off at mail stations
-bounty hunters will hunt you while you roam the open world until you pay off any bounties you have
-being wanted only affects your ability to start missions if you are actively being hunted by bounty hunters or in combat with the law
I know by nature you want to live as an outlaw and stuff but the better outcome for you guys and the character lies in doing good deeds and keeping honor high
I believe the controls are really good once u get used to them. Once you play for a little while you can get to anything instantly.
i spit my dinner all over my laptop when Oak wouldn't escape and just ran around Valentine with all the law
Hey guys, few handy things. (I haven't finished it yet so idk if you guys figured it out already)
You can go open a full map to see where towns and things are that you need to do.
Another great video - definitely take time to explore the areas, do side-quests and interacting with different events.
I can’t imagine to tell you how awesome this is! Red dead redemption 2 is one of the top games out there even in 2024
The game is amazing because it let's you choose between being a full outlaw or a good outlaw that treats people right.
Oak turning murder hobo an being surprised when the cops pursue him was the highlight of my day. ;)

Also, in the future, when you have a shootout where there are enemy buildings, you have to plan some time for looting the buildings, especially fireplaces so be mindful of that too
Guys RDR2 is the most detailed game of all time. So always make sure to talk to everyone at the camp and explore the surroundings.
Answer looks like he is teaching grandparents how to use the phone, tv remote, and so on…lol
Watching oak's skill improve drastically in hogwarts legacy its nice to see him giving Quinn encouragement when Quinn is struggling with controls 😅
I think this game will truly test Quinn and improve his gaming skills, we all know answer is already a semi-pro gamer!
I’m here for Answer’s passive aggressive digs at Mason and Oak.
you can do any missions if you're wanted guys, the missions just lock if you're found by the law
So many times while watching this, I wished I was there to guide them through this haha
1:02:17 Wagons go in reverse, you gotta hold the e-brake/stop button, R1/L1?
Hey guys! Real big tip to gaming in general:
Don’t be scared to try all the buttons and what they do, you won’t break anything.
You'd think that would be common sense for anyone learning the controls..
@@VykeKing new players usually do the same and don't explore the buttons it's all right
And kick Answer off the gaming panel. Ffs he doesn't stop backseat gaming.
@@Jason_Van_Stone hey don’t ruin my friendly tip :(
@@TheRealBillix 😂
Glad you guys are playing this my daughter has already played it twice! We can say she is a little obsessed but who wouldn't be!! Great game fellas
Bah, it’ll be fine! Don’t be a downer. I was fucking around with the controls for my first 10h of gameplay and then it just “clicked”.
Thank you. I hate bad players blaming the game more than anything… I try to be patient and understanding but at some point I just can’t anymore specially if they blame the game. Had to stop watching these gaming videos even though I‘d love to stick around…
So you're policing how people can enjoy games? Telling them not to play it? You are not a gamer. Dick comment
In regards to looting during missions, it tends to vary. The game will alert you if the law is on the way, so you’re usually okay to loot.
Love the series so far, excited for more ❤
Hey just a few things:
1. You can pay your bounty at the post office (Use the mask more often to prevent that from happening so much)
2. Use de Deadeye. Always. It's the most broken superpower ever
3. Roaming freely is just as important as following missions
4. If you want big money, follow the main story, you end up with the net worth of Tim Cook
5.ñ Open map, yellow bubbles are missions
6. There is a Save File log in the menu from where you can retry some checkpoints
I dont mean to backseat but it seemed like it could help
