I love boatman. I love when I find him multiple times during a playthrough. Boatman is the best, he doesn't care about you or your stupid meta build, he just wants to row and row. Start appreciating boatman for what he is, a true chad. The end of the world is near? Zero fucks given, boatman enjoys the waves and course of the river. Honestly, just pure swag.
Boatlord Nito is a fun one that I was totally blind to. I saw a boss message but had no idea I’d be attacked by a guy towing a boat and summoning skeletons. I stayed on torrent leaping over and cutting down mobs, slashing at him when I broke through them, heck of a lotta fun
Playing as astrologer, this is one of the most hilariously stupid bosses I’ve ever fought. Poor bastard just kept rowing slowly as I pelted him with spells while his summons just wandered around aimlessly.
I was super excited when I found this boss the first time. Would have never expected such a concept in this game. Elden Ring is the game that just keeps on giving.
Enter in the village. See a weirdo driving a boat with a pipe? Him come closer. Ost beat hard and his name appears Finally understand this is a boss fight. Definitely the best boss fight of the game.
One of the easier bosses. Fun and creative. I killed him by ignoring the adds (boss actually kills his own adds... eventually). Focused boss, got him with blood loss. Easy peasy.
This bossfight was surprising, funny and fun. I fought him fair and square on the ground (or rather in the water) as a Prisoner with Soldiers of Godrick. To be honest if you let the skeletons overrun the narrow spots it can get tough getting to mr Mariner, but I beat him first try. A skeleton rowing a boat, trying to slam you with the boat itself or summoning a big ass tide merking everything in the vicinity - uniquely amazing.
This was the first boss I beat in elden ring. The summoned skeletons that revive themselves, the range attacking reaper, and the attacks from the boss itself were frustrating when all of them hit me at once but I still managed.
I remember running into this guy at low level and running away. For the longest time these guys were actually terrifying until I actually fought one and realized how easy it was. Cool looks go a long way
Was walking around then "why tf i heard boss music" "why tf theres giant health bar" "where tf is the boss" then relaised fucking boss can row boat on land lol fun boss fight XD
I remember the first time i got there and got aggro right after killing a innocent turtle, but i didn't saw him, it was my first "why do i hear boss music?" moment
I like the concept of the boatman just wanting to be left alone in peace by teleporting away without even attacking us the first time, showing that we are the assholes in this case
Did the devs succumb to the pleb gaming crowd and finally added a "casual" mode? Or am I totally mistaken and there is a hidden reason why this is considered "hard" gameplay when the so called Boss did 3-4 attacks for whole two minutes?
What Mike said; if you’re familiar with the Witch of Hemwick, or the Crystal Sage in the 1st phase, then all you have to do is scour the area where the boss could be hiding until you’re ready to fight back.
Even the skeletos put up a better challenge than him. He was just rowing his boat the boss music wasnt bcause of him but bcause the player is the boss 🤣
@@zatoka08 the cemetery shade is actually a really cool idea for a boss They have low health but attack really quickly and build up bleed and poison so they can kill you quickly if you get too greedy

This game has a lot of weird boss fights. I never thought "skeleton rowing a boat" would be a boss fight in a video game, but here we are.
I know some Charon (greek inspired) or even Ghost Ship in Final Fantasy 7 classic.
And so many weird enemy, have you seen smough with a volcano on his head 😅😅😅.
Kudos to them XD
Who is supposedly a "Mariner" too lol.
Would've been cool if it was a ship and it suddenly appeared out of a random lake a la the Durmstrang ship from Harry Potter Goblet Of Fire.

Shattering? Can't shatter water- boatmans still boatin'
I don't see what that has to do with being a "chad".
This is the best Elden Ring comment so far
This should definitely become a copy pasta

Even in death, the captain rows around slowly, and occasionally does sick wheelies

The amount of fun I had fighting him was the most surprising
I felt bad disturbing the peace ; he just out here vibing, trying to make a living 😔
One boss I wanted to keep alive for the aesthetic👑
made me a tad uneasy too !
Fia does essentially say "the undead are just chilling, hunting them is wrong", so maybe that was on purpose?
Playing as astrologer, this is one of the most hilariously stupid bosses I’ve ever fought. Poor bastard just kept rowing slowly as I pelted him with spells while his summons just wandered around aimlessly.
Same with prophet, I just circled it on horseback lobbing black fireballs at him, I felt kind of sorry 💀
Did u fought the snail boss yet?

Boat boy by far the most badass and epic boss in Elden Ring.
His boat drift so hard 💀💀❤
Bro i cant stop laughing hahaha this man just drifting with a boat lmao 💀💀💀💀💀

Hands down, thematically the coolest boss fight in the game.
Not true
I'm glad I ran into this guy. I got kinda tired running into bosses that just destroyed me in two hits. Needed some more runes
MY HUMOUR IS BROKEN why is the boss fight just rowing his boat and letting u attack 💀💀💀💀
I'm only a two days into the game, but this boss fight was super creative! Never saw anything like it before!
The theme when it hits and skeletons start brewing up around this cat in a boat it was pretty epic
This guy is basically Elden Ring's pinwheel
This bossfight was surprising, funny and fun. I fought him fair and square on the ground (or rather in the water) as a Prisoner with Soldiers of Godrick. Super creative boss fight. I think this one was a bit too easy.
But you said it there. This boss isn't intended to be hard, but a surprise and interesting.
They do this on purpose, so it builds our confidence ready for it to be crushed on the next real boss.
This skeleton literally sail for his pleasure without harming a fly, and they still call him an enemy
This is the funniest boss ever, you are rlly expecting to get smashed just to find out he literally almost does nothing lmao ..
A real pinwheel of a boss.
This guy's music goes so hard for absolutely no reason
Actually, I found the Tibia Mariner to be humerus. I’ll see myself out.
HES ON A BOAT! HES ON A BOAT! EVERYONE LOOK AT HIM BECAUSE HES STEERING ON A BOAT
NOW FOR MY BOAT MOVE!
0:41 I've seen enough.😮
The music is way too epic for this guy lmaooo
This guy makes pinwheel look like Orphan of Kos.
This was the first boss I beat in elden ring. The summoned skeletons that revive themselves, the range attacking reaper, and the attacks from the boss itself were frustrating when all of them hit me at once but I still managed.
>Call itself a mariner
>Rows a boat on shallow waters
Lmao, this boss is a dweeb, i like it
Didn't know he was gonna be a boss until I walked up and was like, "Welp- here we go; no backing out!" Super clever boss fight. 👏

Boatman: "I'M SINKING! I'M SINKING!"
Player: "It's not even 3 inches deep."
Boatman: "WHAT?!"
The music during this fight is epic.
This was one of my favourite boss fights, fought him first try. At first I thought he was a harmless npc.
Tibia, the only fiend able to do wheelies on a boat, while sitting down on a wooden toilet, rowing with a plumbing tube
One of the best soundtrack parts in the game
Yep this one's going into my "cool skellies on a vehicle" collection

Ghost Boat! An easy fight, to be sure, but an entertaining one.
I just beat this guy on my first attempt. Not too hard of a fight but definitely a unique experience, and honestly pretty fun.
Funniest part is that a boss in Trials of Argolis has this exact same premise and it came out in Dec 2020

The damn boat keeps disappearing
If you go a little farther there's a guy who has lightning spells. Defeat him and you'll get his book
When the tibia mariner disappears in my game, he never reappears, and I've checked everywhere in that lake. Bug?
The ferry man of hell has become a boss fight
So far the only boss I haven't died against, got him first try.
Ghost in a Boat!!
Actually, there are several Mariners throughout the map. I guess the one that you took out was the easiest one which is in Summonwater Village.
Wait you could use the horse in the fight? And here I was chasing the boat like an idiot
I called this dude Smashy Smashy Boat Boat.
Alright, DS1 veterans, if I were to call this guy the new "Pinwheel", how accurate would that be?
The "Easiest Boss In A Souls Game" Award goes to...
this dude, and Hemwick Witch came in close second
I mean this guy is using the horse AND summons...
my favorite thing about discovering this fight for myself was eventually butterfly effecting myself from this fight to the dragon area in 15 minutes.
Mihawk just passin by
I was fighting this guy and he disappeared mid fight.

why did they make him a boss, would be a pretty cool npc
Why can't this guy be a npc? He seems like he just want to fish...
definitely one of the easier bosses. got him first try
I suppose I have to Google the location of this boss.
what is the name of his theme?
It’s either Tibia Mariner, or what I’d like to call “Sea of Corpses.”
Grave Wardens
this is the most epic boat fight ever
Pro tip L1 will swing left on ghost horse so do that instead of tokyo drifting around enimes like this guy no offense btw
Why are skeletons with horns so popular?
Actually love this fight lol, just bc of how weird it is 😂
My guy disappeared with a quarter of a health bar left and was completely gone and no where to be found. Does he respawn?
Look around the area. It just teleports to a different section of the village
