Ooohhh...... we still don't know what you ended up with but that keeps us interested for sure. Sorry that you've had some bad experiences with various outlets who are not being named. Right....... moving on....... Thank you for the "shout out" ref my Rover P5B that was honestly described as - if I recall - drinks more than me *or George Best* but I can't remember what I said in the Email 😂😂😂 Genuinely up for Sale and there's full disclosure from my end IF a genuine Buyer is interested. Great upload, Charles. I enjoyed it 💯
I paid £6000 for an 8 yr old juke in January, 2 weeks later it got recalled to Nissan for an urgent recall and Nissan phoned me an hour after handing it in saying they’ve locked it off and I’m only getting it back when I have proof it is booked in or they book it in for urgent repair, the round vehicle 146 point check found 9 major faults that invalidate the MOT. It had supposedly been MOTd 3 days before I collected it with absolutely no advisories. Cost me £3000 in repairs, got it back and EML came on so back in it goes to the mechanic where I’m told the engines a write off it’s going to cost more than the cars worth to repair. It had a full “MOT” and warranty but they blamed me for the damage and refused to take any responsibility. In the end I was desperate for a car, my health declined to the point I need a walking stick now so walking is out the question and am now the proud owner of a 15 Fabia SE L limited edition colours and it was the best decision I’ve ever made
(Noddydash) Always do a pre purchase inspection, and bear in mind the minefield of cars to avoid no matter the condition. Car Wizard’s channel is a real eye opener on crap cars, the Vauxhall Mokka 1.4t immediately springs to mind.
I've been lucky with dealers. The first bends over backwards to get me what I need and when the first car i got from him had a leaking radiator, he gave me a VERY fast car as a loaner while he replaced the radiator free of charge. Result! The last car I got from him cost £800, is 23yrs old and is still going 10 years later, Ford. The last car came from a dealer who was a customer of mine and he found me a great car and made sure I could afford it. Dacia Sandero, 5 years old, 34000 miles on the clock, £4,500. Look for cars owned by older people who change their cars every year or two. Usually well looked after. Mind you, I test rode a car from the local spiv dealer and after trying a hill start, discovered the hand brake didn't work. Interesting 😂😂😂
The Mondeo just had surface rust which is expected on an old car. Definitely not worth 8k though. Looks like it was a MK4 pre-facelift which is older than mine and mine is only worth £3500 and thats if it didn't have the bodywork issues it has. That Focus spring would have probably been fine. They have a sorta plasticy coating on them that often comes off as they age. Ford springs are only around 30 quid to buy and (at least at the rear) easy to install so not really that much to worry about unloss they're actually collapsed. 😂 I'm in HU7 if you ever need something looking at. I've picked up quite a lot working on my own cars.
See, my car has almost the same engine as your Mazda, except its tax was £320 this year. I did a double take when I saw that number... £320 for a 145hp Mazda designed 2.0l 4cyl petrol engine in a Volvo C30 (Ford Focus platform share), yikes. Oh well, I guess I'll know to book a therapy session ahead of and after my tax bill next year lol
Really interested to see the next part 😃buying a used car sure can be hard especially with dealers like this, im lucky I have an uncle who knows all about cars to goto when I;m looking for a car, still on my 1st car tho but he helped me get it (private sale not from dealer) many things he looked into id have never even thought about
I drive a 20 year old Vauxhall Combo Diesel van. Im sure the £300 pollution tax I pay makes the pollution I cause go away. Its not going to suddenly make me spend a small fortune on getting something more GREENWASH. The only thing thats going to do that is a big expensive MOT failure.
Funny thing right, I was trying for ages to figure out what you meant, I knew which was the problem shot but couldn’t see a code and then it hit me… it was my mates spare house key that he gave me 🤣🤣 I’ve told him and I’ve got the segment processing the cut now. Many thanks for your eagle-eyed viewing! Im actually so bad for this kind of stuff, it’s often my patrons who spot stuff during early access, I once left my reg on a screenshot in my Drivescore video 🤦♂️🤣
OMG i recognised a clip of when you was driving you came to Burnley which is where i live. I was born in Hull and raised on greatfield but i live here now
If you’re a boomer for having a CD player in your motor, then what the hell am I with a cassette player in mine? What a shame you missed your mum going in that could have been £250 quid from Harry Hill. 😆
Omg the last bit get me I have ADHD too and when I am in my mums car she is always shouting at me because I randomly shout out what I see if I find it funny in some way and I do the same when in the bus with my friends just the other week I seen a big fat horse 🐴 😂
Stop worrying and start saving I'll sell you the Mustang in 12 months for only 40k! 👍😮🤣🤣 You do get 496 hp and 4 wheel drive for that though! I'll even throw in a full tank of electric! Was Mum pushed or pished? 🤣🤣🤣Good to see her back suffering just for our entertainment. Only second hand cars I've bought from dealers have been high mileage ex-company cars. You'll find all the servicing has been done on correctly so it should be mechanically sound. Bought two Rovers years ago one was 98000 miles and only two and half years old, but mechanically excellent. Looking forward to finding out just what you ended up with. All the best.
Did you get the mazda6 from great rides quality? I just got my faulty car from there.I reckon turbo lag. Even though they have ramps at the back so they would of noticed the rust . I also got 12 months warrinty . My car also came with a cracked windscreen That got worse everyday. They paid for that. I would not recommend great rides.

I'd rather buy from facebook marketplace than buy from any dealer.
Mate that code on the key is a major security risk you can have a key made using only that code
Well fuck, I should edit that out ASAP, didn’t even realise! Thank you!

We did actually send it at the time to YBF and it got rejected for that reason 😂

I currently drive a skip on wheels. While the used car market stays the way it is I will continue to drive my skip.

Agree that buyng a car is a crap experience at the minute, though to be honest, that spring was fine mate ;)
