We agree, but with 90% Labour MPs 90% Labour councilors in South Yorkshire, if we abolish that, there is zero way to keep them honest, unless somebody can watch them.

@@davidbettney785 I never thought about that. We really need to look into what we can do about corruption / incompetence / negligence in public life. Because these entirely unsuitable candidates have a reliable block of voters whose support is completely independent from merit or results. I mean look at that Tower Hamlets debacle, how was he even allowed to run again?!
Of course I’d be a lot choosier about who even gets the right to vote but that’s a whole other story....
