What part of the new combat system you looking forward to?! I think the tower defense coming back is actually goated o7 Article - www.gcores.com/articles/192321
Based on how creative Hypergryph have been in the past with creating their character mechanics and variance, I'm really looking forward to the adaptability and teambuilding the combat will have to offer. I can imagine we're going to cook some sweet synergies in the future. Also, the idea of controlling 4 characters like a squad sounds fun.
@11:35 You skipped the quoted paragraph above: "Many areas in Endfield have independent gameplay and visual wonders. If all the gameplay in it was quickly edited into a film, it would be amazing. We have many dungeons and many themes, including but not limited to basic gameplay such as ✨️parkour and jumping✨️🙌 , as well as many strange puzzles." DUDE. This game sounds amazing. This describes what Infinity Nikki did too: open world, but each area has its own features to make it stand out, be unique, and encourage you to come back and play there for fun in the future. Variety of gameplay, a variety of "themes" with a heavy focus on aesthetic and vibe for each area in the game. A visual spectacle to behold and immersive fun experience. And I believe them. 1) cuz Infinity Nikki is a gacha game and they did that. So it's possible. And 2) cuz we saw the gameplay demo and it already expresses a lot of what they're promising here. I also really wonder what the parkour is gonna be like. Man, this game is exciting! 🙌😆

I love how loud they are being about endfield again :D 5:50 no translation issue, thats what they meant. You can see the 3 skill resource bars under the hp bar
@@MaximGacha hey no worries :) Basically 3 bars. You start combat with 2, it charges over time but you can get more by performing certain things during combat. So if you only use basic or dont satisfy the conditions to get more bar youll have 2 uses of skill and will have to wait for one to charge itself. I think its like an atb system.
@@MaximGacha No worries. None of us have experience with the new gameplay yet, so it's easy to loose a term here and there. On the off-chance you want to read that interview more clearly, there was a post in the Endfield subreddit by 30000lightyears which translated it accurately.
2nd point in the combat section (i haven't finished the video) Shared resource for all character skills, you can see this as the 3 yellow bars under your HP in the middle during combat. 1 skill = 1 bar. Regarding Ults they charge on their own, you can see them have all ults banked before combat and they only used Wulfgard and Chen's ult but Endministrator and Perlica's is still active. Ults are top(Hold) Skills are bottom(Tap)
They're trying to balance the line between feeling like the AI is just winning the fights for you and your contribution isn't mattering much, and having it feel like the squad stuff is superfluous. I've played games that have gone too far in either direction and they aren't super fun. Within the Final Fantasy series you've had games with "gambit" systems where the AI can auto most battles for you, or games like Final Fantasy XVI where it feels like your companions are just there to cheer you on (even though they're supposed to be nearly as strong as you are). I think they're aiming for a Xenoblade approach, but with more hack and slash.

10:00 they mean having the entire team attacking is both the main thing they wanted to do but is also very difficult to do.
Also hyf is the ceo of Hypergryph
I approached it with the idea that translate would be absolutely cooked so I took the wording to be way too open to interpretation which is my b:(

instead of skill cooldowns your team shares 3 activation bars to spend on activating skills and you get more bars by performing actions like auto 😂

It's not about ultimate, you have 3 bar at the bottom and you use it to activate skills, skills itself has no cooldown
