there are two ways I imagine this either both sides singing their version of the song as they march towards battle to acknowledge that both sides are still the same people or both sides singing together fighting against a common foe but not knowing the lyrics to the other version, showing a comradery that goes beyond ideology

We lost our country and our independence in 1991, and now, for the most part, we live in the occupation of the west, and not in a Russian sovereign state.
@@glyuk88 Putin seems to be trying to make Russian nationalism the national idea, in that there has always been a greatness in the Russian people, as opposed to it being communism under the USSR or tsarism and religion under the Empire. Gotta love the symbolism of Russia identity of reinvigorated Orthodox Christianity and the Soviet Union legacy.
From a friend of mine.
"The revelation was lain upon me; neither wing is as strong as both combined. That the liberation of the proletariat and protection of the workers' livelihood is as a commandment from God.
As the fruits of man's labor are His kingdom upon Earth, so must peace, land and bread aplenty be the best offering we may make for him as we heal ourselves, revitalize the land and recapture the wonder of enlightenment."
This is actually a pretty common belief internationally, Liberation Theology is big in Latin America.

The thing is that the Sibiryakov March was once converted into a partisan song. What is very interesting from the other side is that as a Russian person, I am very sad to understand that on both sides of the barricades there were both heroes and villains. That there were people there and there. It is interesting to see how the song passed from some people to the opposite people.
So Sibiryakov March is the original one?
@@l.palacio9076 Yeah, it was present during the Empire and was like a war anthem. After the soviets won they adopted the melody and the tune, but changed the lyrics to the more "party-friendly" version. This is how the Partisans song was created.

Well Russia is weak now without Soviet Union ,but putin is trying hard to achieve the former glory.
@@historyeditz8326 I live in Russia and I can say that Putin is not trying very hard. The oligarchs plundered the entire country, and, as you said, we cannot be strong without a national idea uniting the people. Previously, this idea was communism, which fit very well into our mentality - but now such an idea does not exist.
