You know this review is reliable when all of the products are at least halfway gone or completely used up! Thanks for putting in the work and research for people who can’t afford expensive skincare! ❤️
The ordinary peeling solution is a DUPE for the DE glycolic night serum as they have mostly the exact same ingredients and I have used both for a very long time and have seen more drastic results with the ordinary which you only have to use 1x or 2x a week whereas DE every night and there is not a lot in their do not let the packaging fool you
I agree, when i watch youtube reviews and I see that the bottles are completely full, i close down the videos right away, then you know that the person hasn't given it enough time.
I always tell my husband when I want to buy a product "Jessica said it was good, so I know it is!" 😊 I feel like you are one of the most honest, trustworthy youtubers! Thank you for that!!
Omg I'm the same, we are at Target and I say "uuuh look Jessica loves that" and then I go on and explain she's the TH-camr I watch and he says "obviously I know who you are talking about, the one that used to be a teacher" 😂 our husbands know who we love 🥰
You make life better, you really do. I’m in such a season of life that’s difficult and confusing and stressful. I’m just kind of in a funk and tbh, when I see your videos it’s like a deep breath of fresh air. You’re so appreciated and just you being you helps! You’re a positive and genuine light in a world that surely needs one ❤️ you’re so gorgeous and kind, I hope you remember these things when you’re feeling down or unmotivated
Agree with everything you said! Jess and Tyler are such a breath of fresh air in the often toxic world of Social Media and the beauty world! Love your comment and hope your difficult season eases soon x
I’m always amazed that she genuinely and actually puts in the work for all her videos. I feel like most youtubers I watch are so robotic and zombie-like (if that makes sense lol) that I can’t actually take their word for it
Yes. Jessica and Emilynoel83 are practically the only ones who do actually research and test products. If something doesn't work on someone its just because we all have different skin. Most of the time their descriptions are so on point that we can find what we like!
I watched your instastories yesterday about being a “nerd” note taker and here I am, a fellow “nerd” 🤓 ready to watch with my notepad & pen! I have bought several items based off of your recommendations and I have not been disappointed. I definitely trust your recommendations! Thank you for researching, using products for a period of time and collecting your thoughts for review. I also appreciate that you value a good deal (drugstore vs high end) brands and don’t always recommend high end if a drug store brand is better!
I would love to know what products you'd use to replace the ones that you didn't like or didn't feel like were doing anything for you. From what you've described over the years, I think you and I have similar skin types, and I've always had good results from your recommendations. Thank you for all your hard work!
I really appreciate that you tried these for so long! A lot of the time when I use a new product it will seem to have a positive effect for the first couple of days even if it doesn’t work for me long term, so hearing your review over months is amazing!!
Could you do a combo video of all of your holy grail skincare stuff? Regardless of its high end or drug store? I’d love a whole video of all of your favorites that you think really help your skin
Gosh, the quality of your videos are incredible! Thank you for giving us honest reviews about affordable options. I’ve always loved watching you. I’ve stopped watching so many TH-camrs in the past 6 months because what they are saying simply isn’t applicable to me anymore. You are becoming more and more relatable!
Gosh your makeup is stunning in this video. I love the classy "less is more" look and you nailed it! Your skin is also so radiant. Keep up what you are doing, you are fantastic.
I love how seriously you take all of your videos. We can really see how much time and effort you take in your work. You're awesome!! My favorite TH-camr!!
I'm loving your videos lately! I mean I have always loved your videos, but your editing, research, and "teacher" presence are killing it. I always look forward to watching. Hands down one of the most down to earth and honest TH-camrs out there. Love ya, Jess!
You're honestly the best person to follow for reviews! Ive been subscribed since the bedroom floor days and even though having oily skin, I've trusted your recommendations because hydration is key! I love your thorough approach to testing and research, and your explanations! Wow, seeing the comment section filled with compliments just shows how wonderful you are! 💜
As others have said, thank you so much for all the work you've put into this video! I also just wanted to say, that the lippie you are wearing is SUPER flattering and you look extra gorgeous in this video.
For people who are prone to getting milia especially around the eye area, it's best to use products specifically formulated for the eye area to hopefully prevent them from occurring. Improper absorption of products can create milia. Heavy moisturizers can be too occlusive for the delicate under eye area and can lead to milia formation. 😁 thanks for coming to my TED talk!
I definitely enjoy skincare routine videos, especially when its drugstore!! I d love to see more eyelook suggestions for this season, using older palettes or shades usually found in anyones makeup drawer😍❤😙
I recommend the Physicians Formula The Perfect Matcha 3-in-1 Melting Cleansing Balm. It's a fabulous first step without a strong scent 😊 Thank you for another great upload Jess ❤
This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. Wow. Thank you for taking your time to research, AND test. This was incredible! So informative and so helpful! The fact you added prices and options for other skin types and budgets was amazing. I cannot wait to watch all of your other videos! This is how it's supposed to be done! Bravo!
I started using the Cerve SA cleanser... wholly cow is it good!! I thought I couldn’t use it daily but I can! My texture has improved and my skin is not stripped! I use it at night its my favorite .
I tried that Accure whipped night cream as a dupe for DE protini peptide cream for a couple weeks over the summer. It broke me out so bad!! And, honestly, products never break me out. Needless to say, I have gone back to the protini. Worth every penny!!
This video was so amazingly made and I loved the editing. I can tell you really researched your stuff. Thank you! My favorite videos are empties and favorites videos. Also I love eyeshadow looks and full face grwm type content.
Thank you for how much work you put into this video💕 it shows how much you care about your subscribers and that you take your job very seriously, love you!
Your videos totally brighten my day, Jessica! I just wanted to hop on the comment section and express how much you’ve helped me and my relationship. I recently watched some videos of you and Tyler and especially focused on the portions that you guys offered relationship advice. From your advice, I’ve learned not to take everything too seriously and stop seeking a fight where there isn’t one. Our relationship has really improved from this advice. It’s amazing how a total stranger from across the U.S. can impact another person like you have on me. Thank you! 💕
I have really dry under eyes and I use the Ordinary’s cold pressed rosehip seed oil under my eyes at night and before putting makeup on and it works amazingly. It works so much better than any undereye cream I’ve tried, it’s cheap and it’s lasting me forever!
I use that exact cleanser from Neutrogena! My dermatologist recommended it to me a few years ago, and it really is awesome for sensitive skin! It does the job and doesn’t cause any breakouts for me.
I dont know what it is but lately your makeup and style have just been so gorgeous! Your videos are killing it lately! You're such an inspiration on my own channel! Thanks for all the work and honesty!
For drugstore eye creams I love the Roc Retinal Rorrexion Eye Cream. It’s really good and I’ve had dark circles for as long as I can remember and had been using eye creams/serums for a very long time. It won’t take away darkness from allergies but if it’s just lack of sleep it’s perfect.
Thank you for taking the time you did to try these products and make a video about them. I've been researching skincare lately, I'm trying to find a better skincare routine and this definitely helped. 💚
You should do a new skincare routine and only share things that you LOVE because this was awesome but I want to know what the GREAT items are that you found! Love you Jess!
I appreciate all the work you put into your videos Jess! I can tell you take pride in them and want to give your viewers the best clarification on the products you introduce to us. Thank you so much❤️
I don't know what it is, but you have been looking absolutely stunning in all of your videos lately-just glowing! Makeup, clothes, hair everything! Also just wanted to say thank you for always staying down to earth and putting out such quality content! I've been watching you for years and you're the creator I trust the most. It's always great to take time out of my day to de-stress and relax and watch your videos. Also, I heard you mention niacinamides a few times, I started using the Ordinary's Niacinamide serum about two weeks ago and I am loving it so far! I have very textured and pigmented skin and I really feel like its helping calm everything down. Its only like $6 and cruelty free!
This was awesome Jessica! I’m 55 and I also take my skincare seriously - my friends and family love to tease me about it but....they will be the first to say what amazing skin I have lol I use a lot of The Ordinary serums along with prescription Tretenoin, Timeless vitamin C, a lot of Pixi products, Cosrx products, Cerave and Paula’s Choice. I do my research and look for products with research based active ingredients. A little Botox around the eyes and forehead a few times a year doesn’t hurt 😉 Love to find new drugstore products full of good stuff so from one skincare junkie to another- thank you for all of the love you poured into this 🥰 Tammy Roy 🇨🇦
So excited for this video! I’ve been wanting some less expensive options for skin care and I love that you’ve tried these for a significant amount of time.
I love that you are talking about the scent on products! I don’t like any scent on my makeup, face product bc I have rosacea, oily, sensitive skin. I used so many high end brand for several years and it didn’t work out so I started testing drugstore brand. Thank you for this video!
Loved this! So helpful and authentic! I’d love a vlog dedicated to a ‘behinds the scenes look’ at your equipment, setup, editing process, etc. maybe that’s proprietary, but if not it would be interesting.
I am SO here for this video! I normally watch TH-cam videos while cleaning, etc, but I'm sitting down with my tea and totally focused for this particular video!
Love this video! Helped me understand a lot on skin care! I love how in depth you went with each product, how it feels, what you love/don’t like about it. Would you buy again. With a lot of people being on a budget this is an awesome way to help everyone on what would be best when you are on a budget!
Thank you for sharing this with us! I love how you are reviewing every product and then show us how you use it! 💓 Keep creating, be happy and stay blessed!! ❤
The editing on the video is amazing!!! Your videos have always been my fave, but all the effort you’ve been putting into editing the last little while is completely noticeable AND APPRECIATED. And as a note taker myself, I appreciate the trials and research you put into this... you take your channel seriously and it shows 💕💕💕
My favorite moisturizer isn’t even moisturizer, it’s the Cetaphil body cream! I’ve been using it for about 20 years & while I’m always trying new stuff, it’s the one constant I can rely on.
Thank you Jessica for this video. I love how I can always trust your suggestions because you always do the groundwork, research, and actual months/weeks of trials before you come to your viewers with a video like this. I definitely plan on getting the Aveeno sleep mask!
Hi Jessica, I am a skin expert, studied cosmetology, chemistry, how the skin works, etc. and worked with the best facialists in the UK. I just wanted to let you know that you can remove lotion cleansers with warm water as well, including Pond's cold cream. They are still oil emulsions so that makes it OK. I usually remove makeup with micellar water and then double cleanse with a lotion /cream / oil, emulsifying like you do with warm water and using a muslin cloth or a soft sponge and running warm water to remove dirt. Then I tone and moisturise / treat the skin. Your skin will be clean but nourished. I'm 43 and I swear by this system. My skin does not disappoint. :D
Such a great video!!! You can see your so inspired. I’ve been here forever and I swear something on you is just on fire . You can tell your really loving what you do . I’m here for it !!!!! ❤️
3 months is honestly such a good benchmark especially since it can take that long before anything even starts to happen. So many people pick one month and it takes longer for things to get out of the system, find a rhythm, etc.
I switch around alot, it's fun trying new stuff. Olay dry cloths are great. You wet them & they make mountains of suds! Takes off makes so well. Give it a try.🌙⭐
I bought the Shea moisture glow getter after you recommended it and I LOVE it. It’s made such a difference in my face. Oddly enough I have acne prone, combination skin and I haven’t broken out; in fact my skin looks insanely healthy.
I love any video you make! I appreciate your honest opinions. I initially found your videos watching a pregnancy must haves video or something and I subscribed almost immediately. Keep em coming!
My favorite drug store oil cleanser has to be the Burt’s bees one! Don’t let the coconut oil in it freak you out, because my skin is crazy sensitive to coconut oil and I haven’t noticed any bumps!
HayJor Turney Yep! Coconut oil became a huge trend and now there’s a huge stigma around it after it broke a ton of people out, didn’t work for them , etc. However, there are 2 different types of CO. Fractionated (stays in a liquid state , penetrates better, is low on the comedogenic scale & is used in a lot of skincare) and the CO that was trendy..... Virgin (cooking) coconut oil, which is not a great skincare product. It can work for some people but most people can’t tolerate it or it just doesn’t do anything (especially moisturize because it’s molecular structure is quite big so it basically coats the skin and doesn’t penetrate) So knowing the difference in coconut oils is important 💗
I have been using the Pond's cold cream with cucumber for years and love it! I follow it with the Cerave moisturizing cleanser. I use mostly products from The Ordinary... and I have found a way to use the hyaluronic acid serum. After I wash my face, I leave it wet then apply the HA serum. Then I really let it dry and sink in for a good 5 minutes or more. I apply 2-3 drops in the morning and 4 or more in the evening! NO pilling with this technique!
I was really looking forward to this video, and I appreciate all the hard work that went into it. I have added some new items to my wishlist, I'd love to see an updated version in a few months of all products you like. I was under the impression that since you were showing us your routine, they would all be products you enjoyed. However, this has also given me some idea of what to avoid. I do love the Pond's cleansing balm though, I don't find that the smell bothers me or lingers after I get it out of the tub.
A great drugstore oil/balm cleanser is the Albolene! Mineral oil based but fragrance free and is very moisturizing (I’m ok with MO for a makeup remover)
I love your lively personality, you are so refreshing and it‘s always fun (and informative!) to watch your content, but since you asked: You seem so organized, so I would be very interested in seeing any sort of organisation video- be it beauty or lifestyle related. I am also curious about how you plan your videos, your thought process and practical steps until you actually upload the final video.😊
This was great! I have been so excited to see this, and you delivered! I know you've been working on this for months and just really appreciate the awesome, in-depth reviews! 😍
Over the last few years I’ve gotten really into researching skincare and feel that I have found my perfect skincare routine. I love watching skincare videos because I’m so interested in it but never really hear anything that I think I would want to replace in my own routine, however I added the Cerave moisturizer/sunscreen and Aveeno mask into my rotation and oh man they really are great! Thank you as always for doing the research and offering great suggestions Jessica!
Watching this video is a fantastic start to my day! Thank you so much for all of your hard work and doing the proper research and trying them for so long. THIS is why I love your videos so much!
Yesss I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for this video! Which on one hand is frustrating, but on the other it shows just how much work you’ve put into it! Thankyou for properly trying the products before reviewing, there’s nothing I hate more than a TH-camr trying a product once and doing a full blown review!
I love to watch anything you record!.. You're fun to watch Jess! I thought of a (maybe) fun challenge... not sure you'd be up for trying it... but... you pick all the items you would apply to your face in the order you would apply it, then have Tyler mix up all the items, place them in a row and you have to use those items in the now "new order".. so you may be using foundation as your eyeshadow...lol... I thought it might be fun to see what happens! Hope you're having a wonderful day!
The Shea Moisture Glo Getter does for me what you described for the Acure...it just seems to sit on top of my skin leaving it feeling so tight and thirsty. I was so disappointed as this sounds like it should be exactly what I like. Since it doesn't seems to sink into my face, it almost seems like a barrier to any moisturizer put on top of it. So I have been using it on my hands at night which has provided some nice surface improvements.
I am new to the skincare world and I watched other vids and bought a bunch of very expensive Dermalogica products that I am not happy with. I just want to thank you for reviewing more affordable products that I can try for myself that I would have never known about!
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I have been wanting to find some less expensive options for serums and moisturizers in particular. Definitely going to try out at least a couple things you mentioned! ❤️
I would love to see a series on the best and the worst on 'The Ordinary."
missy scharlow yes! That would be awesome.
missy scharlow what do you need to know girl? I’ve owned several products!
I was gonna say this, too!
Doing this video on my channel next as there are plenty of dupes for high end products in this series!
Daysha Pinto hi. What are your top 3 products from them? TIA
You know this review is reliable when all of the products are at least halfway gone or completely used up! Thanks for putting in the work and research for people who can’t afford expensive skincare! ❤️
Thanks girl!!! :) :)
This seriously means so much to me!! Thank you!! :)
Absolutley
When I’m in the makeup/skin aisle, my husband will ask me “so what did Jessica recommend this week?”.
Omg I'm the same, we are at Target and I say "uuuh look Jessica loves that" and then I go on and explain she's the TH-camr I watch and he says "obviously I know who you are talking about, the one that used to be a teacher" 😂 our husbands know who we love 🥰
Amen`
You make life better, you really do. I’m in such a season of life that’s difficult and confusing and stressful. Agree with everything you said! Jess and Tyler are such a breath of fresh air in the often toxic world of Social Media and the beauty world!
Love your comment and hope your difficult season eases soon x
Wow I agree with every word you said as far as yourself and Jessica ✨♥️
I would really like to see another all day clean with me or a decorate with me kind of video
Halloween/Fall Decorations would be so fun! Or just the things she changes out seasonally!
Yes to both!
I’m always amazed that she genuinely and actually puts in the work for all her videos. I feel like most youtubers I watch are so robotic and zombie-like (if that makes sense lol) that I can’t actually take their word for it
You can absolutely tell how much work she puts in.
Yes. Jessica and Emilynoel83 are practically the only ones who do actually research and test products. If something doesn't work on someone its just because we all have different skin. Most of the time their descriptions are so on point that we can find what we like!
Gothamista is great too!
I’m an Esthetician and I applaud your routine and knowledge on skin care!
I can tell that you've put in a lot of hours into your videos. This was no exception. It is in-depth truthful episode and I appreciate it.
I watched your instastories yesterday about being a “nerd” note taker and here I am, a fellow “nerd” 🤓 ready to watch with my notepad & pen! Aurora Schmiedel - I take screenshots of all recommendations I like and have created a ‘skincare’ note 😂
Out.. of
breath.
I clicked too fast.
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
anna oop omg 😭😂😂
Hahaha, exactly! 🤣🤣🤣🙋🏻♀️
... or did you run downstairs to eat some cheese? 😆😆
I would love to know what products you'd use to replace the ones that you didn't like or didn't feel like were doing anything for you. From what you've described over the years, I think you and I have similar skin types, and I've always had good results from your recommendations. Thank you for all your hard work!

I’ve stopped watching so many TH-camrs in the past 6 months because what they are saying simply isn’t applicable to me anymore. You are becoming more and more relatable!
Perfect timing! Having my coffee ☕️ what a great start to my day 😘
I haven't been this excited for a premiere since the Harry Potter movies came out.
This just totally made my morning! 😂🥰😭
Gosh your makeup is stunning in this video. I love the classy "less is more" look and you nailed it! Your skin is also so radiant. Keep up what you are doing, you are fantastic.
Btw- that Aveeno sleep mask is like $12 on Amazon. Several dollars cheaper than Target!!
@@allison.g I don't shop at Walmart so I didn't even think to check their pricing like I did with Amazon. Thx for the info, tho! :)
I can tell a lot of love went into this video. Thank you for breaking it all down for us! I liked the transition words/music between sections.

As a fellow skin care junkie I'd go for a favorites routine with all the ones you have found regardless of price
Yes!!!! I have been waiting for this video since you did your high end one. SO. FREAKING. EXCITED.
As others have said, thank you so much for all the work you've put into this video! I also just wanted to say, that the lippie you are wearing is SUPER flattering and you look extra gorgeous in this video.

Yeah, I'm having that problem (and have had it in the past) and trying to figure out which product is doing it.
It’ll be interesting to see how/if Drunk Elephant changes since Shiseido just bought the brand. 😘💋
It's a fabulous first step without a strong scent 😊
Thank you for another great upload Jess ❤
Bethany Wiltsey I totally agree! I just started using that and love it.
Agreed! I have tried both and much prefer the PF balm. 😊
It’s so good my daughter started using it as well. Now, I got to buy 2. Great product.
Really? I heard that this has a really strong scent! That's exciting to know.
Omg yes! I love that one and there's no strong smell to it
This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. Wow. Thank you for taking your time to research, AND test. This was incredible! So informative and so helpful! “That’s how shallow I am.” 😂. You kill me. Love you so much
I started using the Cerve SA cleanser... wholly cow is it good!! I thought I couldn’t use it daily but I can! My texture has improved and my skin is not stripped! I use it at night its my favorite .
The CereVe SA Lotion is fantastic as well!
I use the Cera Ve SA cleanser every night too & i love it!!
I started using the CereVe SA cleanser a couple times a week, opposite nights as my Paula’s Choice AHA. Love it!
I love it too!!
I love it too

I noticed in the past few months videos your skin looks really good, especially this video. 👊🏻👍🏻
I thought the same thing.
Thank you for how much work you put into this video💕 it shows how much you care about your subscribers and that you take your job very seriously, love you!
Watching Jessica while drinking coffee ☕️ from my “Not my cup of tea” mug... and drugstore skincare!! perfection!!

Jessica Braun | JAMbeauty89 WOW now my boyfriend gets to hear how excited I am that you commented back! 😂🎊🥳💕🤪
I really appreciate the time it took for you to make this video actually testing out the products for awhile I love it!

Great info! Also, this makeup look is one of your most beautiful ever. I really love how classic and beautiful it is.
Love you and all of your original content! Thank you for taking the time to test products out for our benefit ❤️
Im so glad you like that cleanser. I've been using it for YEARS as my morning cleanser. So gentle and the perfect amount of clean.

Looove your skincare videos, they're fun but I always feel informed and I really value your opinion!
I love that you are talking about the scent on products! I don’t like any scent on my makeup, face product bc I have rosacea, oily, sensitive skin. I used so many high end brand for several years and it didn’t work out so I started testing drugstore brand. Thank you for this video!
Love love love this! ❤️
I’m not 100% sure if you’ve touched on this but if you haven’t can you try out the neutrogena hydro boost line!
Yes! That line is also meant to be more hydrating which is what she loves
might be a "great" product - but they test on animals. a big NO!
They have some good stuff that's ok for your skin.
I want to like Neutrogena and have used their products several times over again, but they all have the Neutrogena fragrance.
The amount of work and thought you put into this!! Amazing Jessica. Thank you!
Loved this! So helpful and authentic! I’d love a vlog dedicated to a ‘behinds the scenes look’ at your equipment, setup, editing process, etc. maybe that’s proprietary, but if not it would be interesting.
I'm loving your vibe in this video. Your clothes, hair, video content, your makeup ... I'm here for it. 😍
I am SO here for this video! I normally watch TH-cam videos while cleaning, etc, but I'm sitting down with my tea and totally focused for this particular video!
Thank you, thank you for including info on scents/fragrances. For some of us that make a huge difference!
I always love any drugstore videos! I would love to see an Amazon makeup of skincare video
Keep creating, be happy and stay blessed!!
Really like how you review products - good amount of information, but accessibly put. Thank you!
Thank you for taking your time and sharing all of your am/pm routine 🙏🙏🙏I really needed this.
I really love your channel i think its so relatable and not just new expensive launches. thank you for always giving us cheaper options that works!
I switch around alot, it's fun trying new stuff. Olay dry cloths are great. You wet them & they make mountains of suds! Takes off makes so well. Give it a try.🌙⭐
Literally was just talking with my cousin about finding drugstore skincare that actually works. And then Jess posts this video!! Thank you!!
You. have. such. good. content! So thorough and helpful. Thank you for this whole video, I was so excited when you first mentioned you were doing it!
Thank you for doing this! I am on a grad school budget but love my skin care routine so this is a huge help
I love the Cerave SPF!! I bought it per your recommendation. Can’t wait to try some more of the items mentioned. Love your channel you are my FAV!
I love your makeup in this video, very polished and fresh!
Thanks for this. I learned a great deal. Ordered a few things you suggested. Watch you every day.
I love how thorough you are good job girl ☺️
Your skin is so flawless & you’ve been looking extra extra lovely lately but you always have been!
I do the same thing!!
You’re so informative in your videos I really respect your opinions because we get a clear view if it would honestly work for us 😘 Thank you
This was great! I have been so excited to see this, and you delivered! I know you've been working on this for months and just really appreciate the awesome, in-depth reviews! 😍
I literally added everything to my carts so it can be saved! Once i am low on the products im currently using I am totally trying this routine❤🎀
