Sammy decided to let everyone know Dave wasn't the only one with the high kicks and splits. 😂
Love both Van Halen Eras
David Lee Roth was oozing with Charisma and Stage Presence
Sammy Hagar had some of the cleanest vocals of his era. Hell of a singer
The mighty Van Halen, one of the great guitar gods, Eddie Van Halen, on that solo. Vocalist is the "Red Rocker", Sammy Hagar, who replaced David Lee Roth. The band was jokingly referred to afterwards as "Van Hagar". Thanks for your reaction.
The lead singer is Sammy Hagar . That band is 🔥🔥
The red rocker !
David Lee Roth was the original lead singer. He's singing this song not Sammy Hagaar.
@@michelegray636wrong. This is Sammy.
EXCELLENT VOICE.
@@robgrant7683 YES.
RIP Eddy. He was one of the greatest guitarist of all time. Sammy was one of my young girl "crushes". I still love him.
Sammy Hagar is one of the best singers of rock music. His voice, range, and screams are amazing as he is.❤️
The singer is the Red rocker Sammy Hagar he joined the band about 20 years ago took the band up three notches. He started out in a band called Montrose then went on his own and made a few then joined band called Chicken foot. Then on his own again and then the group he is with now... Now on his own again....
I am 54 years old and Eddie is why my era of childhood was the best. Sorry to all of you other eras that you didn’t have an Eddie like we did
In my 30s. Didnt get to enjoy Eddie properly. Cam confirm life sucks
There's a ton of work from VH you need to listen to by brother. Eddie was a musical genius, he and Sammy were musical soul mates. I was in school when Roth left and they brought in Sammy, they had great music with Dave but hit another level with Sammy. RIP Eddie
My High School memories at the absolute forefront of my mind. Full immersion flashbacks. Oh, to be back there again. 💜💜💜
Van Halen are awesome. Love this song. Love your reaction!
RIP Eddie the GOAT
Everyone at their best here.
In my hometown San Francisco, a few men formed the rock band 🤘 Montrose 50 years ago 🎂. The lead guitarist was the late Ronnie Montrose, RIP. Sammy Hagar was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. He eventually left to go solo. Denny Carmassi was the drummer. He left to join Heart ❤. Bill Church was on bass guitar. He left afyer the 1st album. His replacement was Alan Fitzgerald. He was also the keyboardist. He left the band to form another San Francisco band, which is Night Ranger.
Each member except RM had replacements. Montrose would continue to perform until Ronnie Montrose died. 😢
Sammy Hagar had loads of hit songs as a solo singer.
Ted Templeman, who is a Santa Cruz native, produced Montrose, The Doobie Brothers and Sammy Hagar. In 1978, TT produced the 1st Van Halen album.
When David Lee Roth left in 1985, Sammy Hagar replaced him.
Michael Jackson. 1 He hired the late Eddie van Halen, RIP, to play the guitar solo in Beat It. Released 40 years ago. 🎂 2 The Van Halen album 1984 could not become the Number 1 album in the year 1984 as the Michael Jackson album Thriller was Number 1. Because Eddie van Halen played in Thriller, he ciuld not elevate his band to Number 1! L 🤣 L
Suggested videos 📹: 1 Sammy Hagar sings I Can't Drive 55. 2 Heart performs There's the Girl. 3 Van Halen performs Ain't Talking about Love 4 Michael Jackson sings Beat It. 5 The Doobie Brothers perform What a Fool Believes.
That's the red rocker
Dang. I miss Eddy Van Halen. ❤❤❤❤❤
Ohhh, the BEST rabbit hole! Please explore more and more Van Halen!
Welcome to the world of THEE best guitarist! The late great Eddie Van Halen. RIP 🎸
I think you'd love pound cake😁
Finally someone showing love to the Hagar era. Thank you.
I have enjoyed the group with both lead singers, they have had their unique styles, both great!!🔥🔥 Love your reactions AB!!👍👍
Love!! Love!! Love!!
Love, love, love when Michael grabs Eddie's face. He LOVED VH!
Please do eruption by them, do the live version of the song, thank you!!!
When Van Halen was first coming together, they wanted to get Sammy Hagar but he was tied up in another band, I think it was Montrose at the time. David Lee Roth helped define their party band legacy that I believe wouldn’t have happened if they had gotten Sammy. Difference in band mentality summed up… with Sammy, How Do I Know When It’s Love; with Dave, Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love.
My favorite Van Halen song!
This is one of my faves from this band.
I was wondering when you were going to get to them! I have seen them twice, they are legends! And you just witnessed one of the most famous guitar players, Eddie Van Halen, a genius! Rip❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Best reaction I’ve seen in a long time AND I laughed my a** off too😂👏🏼..great channel brother I’d do “Poundcake” studio version by them next you’ll love it guaranteed👍🏼
Van Hagar❤
Great tune. Classic!
Great reaction. I really love this song. In case you don’t know this is from the Sammy Hagar era of Van Halen starting in 1986. This ofc the 2nd album OU812. Which is my favorite Sammy Hagar era album. This song shows their backing vocals at their peak. It’s also the last album with the unique “brown sound” although a lil different from the earlier years. After this Edward switched to the music man guitar. Which I don’t think the sound is or the tone is there at all. It sounds good but it’s not the brown sound. IMO this was the last album of the old sound. Thanks for reacting to this and how bout dog back deep into this legendary rock band and do I’m the one off the Van Halen self titled debut 1978. And hit mean street off Fair Warning album from 1981. Then do Edward Van Guitar solo Eruption live. It will give the foundation to what you heard here.
Love Mr.Hagar cuz he can't drive 55 lol
It's Sammy baby!!!!!!
im all in in the channel think u is one the bests in reaction, because u have soul , tnks
The 'Flying Van Halen Brothers', as a local dee-jay from the early nineties would put it. [98.5 - KOME]

VanHalen
Nice reaction …you would enjoy DREAMS and RIGHT NOW✨✨✨
Listen to right now and react!
I actually left all three Van Halen eras there was a third lead singer Gary cherone who is also the lead singer of the band extreme which you need to check out more of. Their song fire in the hole is epic! Also check out from the van Roth era, ice cream man, and everybody wants some
Bro, you gotta check out Still of the Night by Whitesnake. Same genre as the great VH, the lead singer will blow your lid clean off like Dirty Harry’s .44 magnum.
Van Halen had become America's biggest rock band by 1984, but drugs... alcohol ... egos... caused the band to split in 1985 w/ original singer David Lee Roth (who went for a solo career in 1986)... Without a singer, Van Halen looked for possible replacements. Eddie Van Halen (guitar/ keyboards) had been a fan of a 70's band called Montrose and their singer Sammy Hagar... a chance phone call got Eddie in touch w/ Hagar in '85 and they agreed to meet.
Sammy Hagar was a California rocker who joined the rock band Montrose in the early 70's and scored radio hits like 'Rock Candy'... 'Bad motor scooter'... But after 2 albums, Hagar was fired from Montrose in favor of a new singer in 1975, despite becoming the star of the band.
Sammy Hagar opted to put a solo band together and secured a record contract in 1976... He would release solo records and tour constantly into the 80's until he scored a platinum record in 1982 - "Standing Hampton" ... Sammy Hagar had hit singles like "There's only one way to rock"... "I can't drive 55"... 'Heavy metal'... 🔥🤘 He was known as the 'Red Rocker' because of a song he had recorded called 'Red' that got some radio airplay... Despite his success, Sammy Hagar was considering quitting the music business when he got a call from Eddie Van Halen in 1985.
Hagar recalled going to Eddie's studio 5150 and Van Halen played him some new music... He was a bit older than the other Van Halen members, but after hearing the music, Hagar wrote melodies and lyrics and agreed to join Van Halen in 1986 and released the '5150' album that went to #1 in the US charts...
This single was from 1988... the album 'OU812'... Eddie Van Halen was incorporating his keyboards into Van Halen's music - it was something the previous singer David Lee Roth was not fond of, despite recording the #1 single 'Jump' in 1983.
I’m sorry I have one more Van Halen “Finish What You Started” video❤
Lots of Van Halen fans in the world. 🎼🔶️🔶️🔥🔶️🔶️🎼 .. they are always on fire , this song is hot .. buttttt , butttt ..... to help yourself in your Rock N Roll education ... do a comparison of the early years with David Lee Roth singing .. then this Era with Sammy Haggar singing. They are very different performers and singers .
I will be hoping you play more , much more with the original stud - David Lee Roth !!!! Rock on brother 🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎸🖤🎸🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼
I've been blessed to have seen them twice, once with David Lee Roth and once with Sammy Hagar. Preferred Sammy. That is my personal preference.❤
Great reaction as always AB!!

Always be a Dave Era fan first. Sam Halen had some really good songs but after years I got to feel like Sammy was screaming more than singing sometimes. But still good songs in both eras
I've been a Sammy Fan since Montrose..
Loved both the David and Sammy eras. But I lean more towards David. RIP Eddie.
Dude, you MUST check out....
Best of Both Worlds

I'm most likely going to unsubscribe due to TH-cam's adblocker BS - just so you know
Sammy Hagar was the best thing for Van Halen.
if this is all it takes to make money nowadays I think I'm changing my profession. these generation z guys are killing me with this shit. this dude don't listen to anything other than jungle juice music
I have a real job, my man. This is a hobby. Good luck to you!
I really didn't like Van Journey at all.
Sammy can flat sing. Van Halen was the best with Sammy.
