1:50 Heh, you did manage to build a big and nice looking ship, but its movement still controlled by poking the engines and cutting the wires. Perfect. XD
8:10 BTW, it's not really a voxel system, but rather mesh system and we removing or adding vertices on a 3d grid with specific set of rules how to fill it in.
15:15 You definitely need resource pipes. They look so much better than open belts when when run on the wall and can go vertically up and down. Also, when you built generators you could've passed a single belt along them with splitters with custom rates splitting directly into them. In such case you could've used that setup you initially built there before you teared it down and made that version with 3-way splitter.
16:55 I don't remember how splitters work exactly, but I'm positive you'll need pushers as well since it seems like you don't want iron to go past second splitter and it will. Even though there's nothing wrong with that and a single smelter can easily smelt all kinds of resources all at the same time. The only reason to split into multiple is when you can't take resources out of it faster than it make them which totally can happen on upgraded smelter when it smelts almost everything it can at the same time.
17:50 The only reason to use both is when you want to route more than 1 full belt of resources. Usually this only happen when you build loop-back system. when you return resources produced later down the line back for further processing. I love to use these loop-backs to cut-down on machinery. In fact, my entire base for a while used 1 constructor and either 1 smelter and 2 manufacturers or the other way around (don't recall right now) for producing almost everything in the game. And even at later stages I just fed more of specific pre-processed materials into that loop.
19:45 After mining down multiple planetoids into nothing but dirt I came to conclusion that it's actually a much better idea to smelt right wherever you mine, so instead of truckloads of ore I get much smaller amounts of ingots and rods back to the base. So, it might be a better idea to build some kind of actual production there instead of just smelting.
21:21 Railings around hole in the floor, but nothing to prevent fall off the stairs. XD Shame there's no diagonal railings for stairs. ...I probably should ask devs to add this unless they already did since I haven't played for a while.
22:18 And I even know why. XD

Leave it up to you sir to take a “planet” in Astro Colony and Satisfactory the heck out of it. 😮 Look forward to seeing what you do next… as always

Thank you for the great idea to build inside a planetoid. Had to start a new save to build my own :D

You should've added a few asteroid catchers to your planetoid base.

I know it was asked last video, but I like 'The Celestial Eclipse' as a name for the vessel.

'The Pioneer' is another name I like, but I thought it was a little cliche

I thought for sure I'd love this game, but after trying the demo, I think I'll stick with some of the other factory games I have, and wait for Foundry to reach EA.

Why not build the dirt up and make a dock that parks the ship just above the toid' ?
Wonder if you can build around it and make it a geode lol
