I think we saw it in Ilos too, but it's amazing how well-planned your builds are. You're doing a really good in job in anticipating the AI's routes for all forms or transport. Another really great episode! I'm learning a lot.

This is by far my favorite build on YT right now. New bus corridor looks great and i think the taller offices will become a memorable part of the skyline. If i might give you some of your own advice, i think upgrading the tram stop near the new high school to a tram ped road would look great. That is if it fits ofcourse.

This is pretty much a Vanilla+ build but it still looks interesting and unique. This game is still a pleasure to watch and play after almost 8 years. Great work Egg.
Wow! This city is growing so fast yet everything feels so natural and organic. The different layers and levels definitely make it feel like a real city.

I am really enjoying this serie. Thanks for creating it. I’dd add in that spot 40:36 a sort of an airport. The downside is that the city ain’t that big yet, so it might not be that useful for now.

I just love how this city is coming together. Only suggestion would be not to create a pedestrian pathway from the intercity bus station straight into the highschool, I don't think it's a good and realistic thing to have strangers from whoever knows where dropping right at the school's door.
Aweosme series. I just began watching today and it looks awesome. I'm not sure if you have this yet, but I'd love to see a large downtown built with lots of high-density buildings! I'm excited for what's next!

The Bus road with the walkable median... that has *little arches on the bridge* is nice! How long would it have taken us to find that out just from playing?

I think it'd be better if you let all the buildings level up first and then delete the ugly lvl3 commmercials and lvl 5 residentials as lvl 1 buildings are built in seconds but max levels are not.
Whenever you construct a tourism district and airplane, I hope you build them at the same time. If you create some superblocks with pedestrian districts I think these 3 things combined will make you very satisfied with huge amount of people waliking🚶♂🚶♂🚶♂🚶♂🚶♂🚶♂

See that two lane avenue with trees and the bus lanes, I have never seen cims walk down that on mine. I don't know if it's a PS4 thing but on that road, and on the other avenue, the cims walk down the sides and not the middle. Any one any clues?

Possibly one of if not the most natural looking Vanilla cities to be developed. A genuinely fabulous looking place. May Fanta flow through it's many Cims.

The public transport convergence and walkability is so satisfying.
Loving it, Egg! I wonder if the highway with the bike lanes could actually do with a dedicated separated bike path running alongside. You definitely have space for it and I could imagine it wouldn’t be terribly pleasant to have to cycle in an unprotected lane alongside a 3/6 lane road (especially at intersections like the one today, and when the network eventually goes into the downtown and becomes busier). Also would be fab to connect the cycle network directly into the office park itself, rather than stopping at the intersection. I think it could really help with the “cycleability” of the city! :)

Loving this series even as a modded player! In those flat plains would love to see some rolling fields and farmland with villages and little towns nestled in them!

I like the idea of keeping it pretty rural out behind the forestry industry, maybe just farmhouses dotted about surrounded by fields? Eggcited to see more Orchid Bay :D
Seeing those overhead railings over the walkway at 10:00 immediately filled me with dread at the impending seagull menace. hundreds, perhaps thousands, of seagulls perched above a walkway ready to bomb those who pass below.

No immediate plans to do a British Inspired Build at the moment. Maybe one day though :)

Amazing series! Loving every bit of it. For that large featureless flat area, I think a nice industrial and/or factory area would fit. You have freeway access right there, and I'm pretty sure tracks are close by as well for a cargo station. Also would be curious to see how you integrate like that into your super organic, walkable, layered, and gorgeous city
It’s incredible how much land has already been developed. I think we’re all waiting to see an Egg vanilla downtown with all those new skyscrapers to go with the old ones!

Great office park, the position on the top of that small hill is an excellent happy accident. Had a nice laugh at the dark voice saying 'Sooo many tourists' too 😂 it's really great how busy cities get these days without traffic clogging up the streets. The openess of the office park is really cool, so much green space to enjoy during breaks - far too little around most office areas I know.

Yes yes yes, another fantastic episode OE! Your public transportation networks always flow soo nicely, so cool seeing all the cims walking around. Those pedestrian roads are flooding with people! Really like the little detail you did with the trams by the new high school you put in. On the next episode would be cool to check back to mad mountain and see how that view point has grown and changed. Might be a cool time-lapse idea to check back every so often and see how much the city has grown

Use stones and bushes to cover rough terrain. You can make polder and breakwater like structures.

Great video! I think what would look great is at 36:06 when you are looking at those houses long the coupets their backyards end a tile away from the couplet. I think some trees, bushes, and other vegetation would fill in the space greatly and provide a buffer from the physical and noise pollution of the couplet (at least it would in real life lol). Green spaces are a great way to make a place look lived in and provide a lot of benefits to those who live near them!

Very nice, again! Timely, for me. But ngl, my fav parts were things like the sight line to future downtown, and the road/ped network. That lowering of elevation is excellent, and great for noobs to remember.
I would like to see something like a drive-in movie theater out in those plains. Dont know if there are things like that in your location, but in many rural towns in my area of the U.S., folks drive their cars into a field like area to watch movies on a giant screen after dark in the summertime. Usually surrounded with a couple small playgrounds, baseball diamonds, etc. Could go well amidst some small, sparsely placed residential.

I'd love to see the first suburban sprawl neighborhood out there in that flat plain. A big low residential neighborhood with some curved roads, dedicated schools and a neighborhood park, like a master planned gated community

Edit to add that you just blew my mind with the bus on tram tracks thing. I had no idea!
The pedestrian sky walks that are square shaped (I mean going up on all sides) are so jarring and ugly to me!! The new one above the bus road is massive... I don't know what it is, it breaks the realism for my and makes the whole area look so ugly. The skywalks that keep to one line with exits going down on one or two sides are great, but those massive ones over intersessions... was a relief when the one by city hall was redone (very well too!) but this new one is a total eye sore
A big flat-ish expanse of land away from the city but close to the freeway really says “airport” to me. Might want to keep it available for that purpose if you’re not ready to build one yet.

For the flat plains area, maybe just fields, with a town or two. They are separate but are considered part of the metropolitan area of Orchid Bay.
Just a question - based on the arrows, it looks like busses cannot turn left from the 4-lane bus roads and regular traffic cannot turn right. Is that the case?
I giggled a little when the Intercity bus dropped the passengers off, only to turn around and run them all down before leaving down the bus lane.
As a console player, nobody makes me want to switch to PC more than you.
At this point in the playthru, I would possibly start making certain building historic.
Love this series, enough that it had me joining the Patreon after episode 1. Only downside for me is that the game crashes every time I try to load one of the save files. :(

U could use the interesting spot in the tourist menu, almost no one use and I never saw u use before, I think that's a great opportunity, and doing so, the Sims will go to this attractive interesting spots

I get why u need to be tier 3 petreaon bud what i domt get is why like the first two episode arnt for non petreaons just because add that point it isnt a realy big city yet bud for the other episodes i do get it
