I was thinking of getting this myself for my new home (first home with a yard). I was initially worried it would be too small but seeing you say it works for your “small yard”, which is even bigger than mine, makes me feel better about picking this up
I just purchased this mower today and as I was headed towards checkout a gentleman says, “That’s a great mower. I have that one and you won’t be disappointed.” Then I came here to hear what you’ve said, so I’m feeling better about my, also impulsive decision to buy this mower. Thanks for the video and the review.
I have the same one. I was surprised at how well it work on super high and wet grass. It only stopped twice. My gas powered mower would bog out at the same place. Super quiet and my little lawn only needs one full battery
Thanks for posting...real human with a sense of humor. Subscribed. (By the way...charging up at 2 bars is best for longer life) not mentioned as selling batteries is great...for them.
Here it is weeks later and we just bought the Ryobi lawn mower that you recommended. Us getting an electric mower was an upgrade from our old-fashioned reel push mower which we have used for 39 years living in this house!! We bought and used the mower today and it's great. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. My initial experience is similar. After a Winter rain, mover won’t start. I’ve begun troubleshooting and that’s how I arrived here. All the best!
Got this for Christmas today-very good review thank you. I did notice it burns through battery power as well-long as you have extra battery’s 👍 nice cut as well.
I just got one for my 0.13 acre property where 1000 ft.sq. (0.023 acre) is house. I just used it 1 time so far, so I wanted to play it safe. The back yard had 1-2 bars left on the battery and the front yard had 1 bar left. I started with 3 fully charger 4ah batteries (2 that came with the mower and one that was well used). I didn't have to use the well used 4ah battery. I don't have any need for this, as 2x 4ah batteries worked for me, but if I find a 6ah or 9ah battery at the TTI Factory Direct Tools outlet, I might get one for use only for mowing.
Just discovered your channel and I'm definitely subscribing. The story behind your channel is definitely worthy of more than just my subscription so I'd like to thank you for your review.
I bought this mower but your right the charge of the battery is very weak, I wonder if a higher volt battery would work to cut half of my small yard . My battery lastest about 15minutes on full
That's about what I'm getting too, and I just got the mower today. And my lawn is way smaller than the lawn in the video. I'm sort of wishing I'd gotten the Ryobi with the 6 AH battery for the same price.
I like mine. Bought it last year and it works well. The battery charge is not what they claim, but I always have one on the charger and replace it with the other one, so I can continue to mow when the first one stops. If I may ask, how are the handles folded down for storage? The instruction manual that came with mine doesn't cover that.
Good point about the batteries. They gonna fail sooner or later and those high volt batteries are dearer than a new mower. Was worried about the power but you seem to be plowing through nicely. My yard is a tad smaller than yours so I think this will do the job. Same deal, got old smoky as a back up if things get too heavy.
I have about 12 ryobi 4.0 ah batteries and many ryobi 18v tools so I just pulled the trigger on this today . As long as the mower performs well bsttery run time shouldn't be an issue . Have .25 acre property with less than half of it lawn
i bpight 13" inch one on craigslist with 4v batery and chatger for $40 it cuts stringy 12" plis grass no problem i use it instrad of weed eater iys super light self propelled lawn mower on rest one acre next year ryobi ride on love it
@@thelynnelife1893 Thanks. This means it probably wont work for me. We get some spells where it rains on and off for several days and the grass needs to be mowed between rainfalls, often when it is still a bit damp. If I wait for the rains to end and the grass to dry then the grass will be extra long and will cause other problems I guess. Thanks again. I think you have saved me a regrettable expense.
They make a 20" version that runs on 2 batteries and a 20" self propelled that runs on 2 batteries + storage for 2 more batteries. The 20" or larger mowers are dual bladed. Also, I can't say if this works as I haven't tried it but you can get a 6ah or 9ah HP battery. If the Factory tools outlet has any of the 6ah or 9ah batteries on recon or blemished, I might get one just to see if 1 is enough to mow my entire yard.
I am a 14 year old doing lawn care and I use this it lays great strips and works really well
I did lawn care when I was your age. It was a long time ago and there were no battery powered mowers then. I’m glad the mower works well for you.

Thanks for the review. I bought the 18v yesterday, but its raining today, so it I'll have to wait to break it in.
God bless you and your wife!

I bought this same mower, used with a 6 amp hour battery instead of a 4. It ran maybe 5 minutes before it used up the battery and overheated.
I tried an off brand 7.0 Ah battery. It also performed badly. I guess you have to pay the bucks for the Ryobi batteries.
@@thelynnelife1893 my battery is Ryobi.

thanks
Thank you for this sir. ❤
My pleasure!
Great mower! Be careful of the clippings while riding the motorcycle.👍🏍😎
Thanks for the tutorial! Wish you would have explained the charger. So many lights...
Great vid, thanks for your insight
Great video 🙌🏻🔥🌾
Nice. How does it go with handling damp grass?
Wet grass slows it down. I wait for the grass to dry a bit before mowing.

Looking to purchase the cordless 18v/13” mower
I also have a small lawn
With gas @ $5 Gal
Time to due the right right
i have one, works great to trim around bushes, you get about 20 mins on the baterry, also cuts foot long grass
Nice. Who's playing the kazoo?
It's form the TH-cam music library. People seem to like it.
I love the one+ system but this just seems beyond its battery capabilities where ill wind up being choked on power.
