Two legends honoring theeee legend and it's just sweetness to my ears, now I know there are many other guitar Legends but Jimi Hendrix is one of the most if not the most biggest guitar legend of all time
+Dani2wheels Actually, I bet Slash had them turn his guitar down so we couldn't hear him play next to Zakk... Two totally different class of players. Slash is successful, more so than Zakk in his recent career, but he cannot hold a flame to Zakk raw ability. No way.
Who's show was it? If it was Zakks then it may have been mixed that way on purpose. Cant have Slash showin him up at his own show. Thats my guess anyway
People think that playing fast and flashy makes you a good guitarist.nope writing great riffs and solos does.idgaf if you can play fast if it sounds like shit.Slash isn't about technique but he sure does write melodic riffs and solos.
fairly good show!, yes both are insanely brilliant but how can you compare two guitarists like that? zakk is a shred machine and is incredibly fast and Slash is a guitar legend who chooses not to play as fast as zakk as he likes to think out his solos a little more so that theyre more melodic and not a million notes per minute (slash is more blues influenced) and zakk who is equally as good in the metal world prefers to play as fast as possible which is quite unique to him, besides slash is tuned down a little more than zakk so the volume levels should have been a little more matched but everybody should stop with the Slash VS Zakk war thing we have going on here after all theyre both guitarists and have both created equally amazing and legendary music so everybody just unite and make friends :)
uhhhh father ZAKK pretty much plays all minor pentatonic just with way better pick control = blues +over drive ,that gave him his sound so he wouldnt sound like ST.RHODES lets see slash try to cover tonni, randy or jake as good as father ZAKK.couldnt be done period.
Neither one is better, they are 2 different styles. If you want to do a who is better video with Zakk Wylde, put him against a Steve Vai or Yngvae Malmsteen. Slash's blues first style fits the song better but Zakk is faster and more technical. My personal preference is Slash's style but I love Zakk as a rock guitarist
+John Calvacca vai and malmsteen would embarrass zakk in 30 seconds
9 ปีที่แล้ว
+Isai Orozco Vai would flatten pretty much anyone else short of a Paul Gilbert or Buckethead but yngwei isn't demolishing Wylde that easy lol you seem to underestimate Zakk and overestimate Yngwei quite a bit here lol which is usually the otherway around haha. If you look at Zak's playing he is as clean as Malmsteem. Very very good technicians the both of them.

Not bury anyone else and/or everyone else, just make it so they're even. To be fair.
To my ears, it sounded like Slash's amp had a pillow in it to muffle his sound, while Zakk's sounded full throttle.

The best cover ever made of this song was made by the Great Steve Ray Vaughan !!!
...
+erika Pimenta ..........................????????? J.H?
+erika Pimenta YES ERIKA! zakk and slash do it serious justice in their own awesome ways but jimi and SRV take you to another galaxy. same as little wing. only masters should even attempt these songs....zakk and slash amongst an elite few that can pull it off.
For sure!!!
+erika Pimenta unfortunately this isnt common cover...its a jaming,if Jimi and SRV was there ,they will play like crazy too...
Rest In Peace - Stevie Ray Vaughan!!!
We all miss you very much, SRV!!!
Nice job, Guys!!!
Why'd they kill slash's guitar like that!!!??
its zachs show and he said"make sure that fucker's volume is lower than the rhythm guitar player,i dont want him showing me up at MY GIG"if they hear slash,im fucked
QUIEN ESCUCHA ESTE TEMA EN PLENO COVID 19 -2020...Duelaso de guitarras...DIOSES

Okay... The bassist is fucking awesome
Loving it from a little town with one stop light ! East Bend N.C.
Joy Hambright bloody we don't even have 1 lol.🎅
Both great, they have 2 different styles/tones...nobody wins......Wait gibson and marshall win because they both shred the hell outta those gibsons and marshals...
Zakk is a emg guy active pickups and slash plays passive seymore duncans both very different..
Well, I stand up next to a mountain
And I chop it down with the edge of my hand
Yeah
Well, I stand up next to a mountain
And I chop it down with the edge of my hand
Well, I pick up all the pieces and make an island
Might even raise a little sand

Two of the best 🤘ever. Hands down 👍👌☝️
one of my favorite performances of any guitarist/guitarists ever, i get goosebumps everytime
Is this a Jimi Hendrix tune? Great duet!!
Deefex dB yeh 👍👍
Damn it, Zakk has a damn good voice, and to top that, he plays like a fucking beast.
don't forget he can also play piano. pretty damn good imo.
If i was Slash I would of went over and turned my amp up. to quiet.
If I was the sound guy, I'd literally kill everybody who tried to do that. I'd kill that person in a wild, unbearably long and painful torture. I'd start with breaking their fingers and slowly ripping the skin from the face and neck.

This is beautiful!! Mad props to Kingyshell!! Motivated, Recruit!!
Two legends honoring theeee legend and it's just sweetness to my ears, now I know there are many other guitar Legends but Jimi Hendrix is one of the most if not the most biggest guitar legend of all time
Whoever mixed this SUCKS, all you can hear is Zakk, what a waste of an amazing collaboration
exactly my thoughts
+Dani2wheels Actually, I bet Slash had them turn his guitar down so we couldn't hear him play next to Zakk... Two totally different class of players. Slash is successful, more so than Zakk in his recent career, but he cannot hold a flame to Zakk raw ability. No way.
+dadajack lets just agree that they are both awesome. wow
Who's show was it? If it was Zakks then it may have been mixed that way on purpose. Cant have Slash showin him up at his own show. Thats my guess anyway
+Paul Jensen Zakk's amp is overpoweringly loud. I think it is Zakk's show though, since he was doing all the talking and introduction.
People think that playing fast and flashy makes you a good guitarist.nope writing great riffs and solos does.idgaf if you can play fast if it sounds like shit.Slash isn't about technique but he sure does write melodic riffs and solos.
I agree
He has some very very fast bluesy solos tho
No more tears
if youre saying Zakk Wylde sounds like shit youre fucking stoopit!
Both extremely talented guitar personas. Would've lived to have been to this event!!
Zach is the best of the best! You can't argue with that. His licks are so on point and from the soul.
Zakk can be lyrically talented to where it breaks your heart, gives you strength or shred the guitar and sing. Rock on and long live Zakk
man zakk looks so young lol and slash I don't think that guy ages.......lmao
Drugs man, drugs.
Leonardo Scandelari tell that lindsay lohan XD
hairs man, hairs....and drugs ;)
Two legends great video thanks for sharing
slash and zakk playing a hendrix classic = heaven on earth
No words! Absolutely iconic. Slash ripped it up and volume was off....lol
Suck's that Slash's guitar was so buried in the mix. Some nice pentatonic runs that you have to strain to hear.
I'm 76 and been a great Fan 30 yrs🎉❤
fairly good show!, yes both are insanely brilliant but how can you compare two guitarists like that? zakk is a shred machine and is incredibly fast and Slash is a guitar legend who chooses not to play as fast as zakk as he likes to think out his solos a little more so that theyre more melodic and not a million notes per minute (slash is more blues influenced) and zakk who is equally as good in the metal world prefers to play as fast as possible which is quite unique to him, besides slash is tuned down a little more than zakk so the volume levels should have been a little more matched but everybody should stop with the Slash VS Zakk war thing we have going on here after all theyre both guitarists and have both created equally amazing and legendary music so everybody just unite and make friends :)
uhhhh father ZAKK pretty much plays all minor pentatonic just with way better pick control = blues +over drive ,that gave him his sound so he wouldnt sound like ST.RHODES lets see slash try to cover tonni, randy or jake as good as father ZAKK.couldnt be done period.
They were too sorry to make sure the guitars were both the same volume.
+txixm if they were the same volume the building would have lit on fire due to the awesomeness 🔥🔥🔥🔥
+Isai Orozco that's quite true
Neither one is better, they are 2 different styles. If you want to do a who is better video with Zakk Wylde, put him against a Steve Vai or Yngvae Malmsteen. Slash's blues first style fits the song better but Zakk is faster and more technical. My personal preference is Slash's style but I love Zakk as a rock guitarist
John Calvacca
I totally agree and Wylde vs. Malmsteen... I´ll have wet dreams tonight
+John Calvacca vai and malmsteen would embarrass zakk in 30 seconds
+Isai Orozco Vai would flatten pretty much anyone else short of a Paul Gilbert or Buckethead but yngwei isn't demolishing Wylde that easy lol you seem to underestimate Zakk and overestimate Yngwei quite a bit here lol which is usually the otherway around haha. If you look at Zak's playing he is as clean as Malmsteem. Very very good technicians the both of them.
+Peter Dejong malmsteem has no soul? Lol have you even seen him play? I'm not a huge fan personally but I love some of his work like black star.
They are the 2 best at the moment and still both as amazing,i would love to hear them produce an album together that would be they album!
Those low output Alnico pickups Slash has versus Zakks EMG actives. You can barely hear Slash.
emg actives, copy that and.... roger wilco. , Whatever all that meant.....yes, you cant hear slash at all,,,
so sad to hear Zakk moaning these days, I mean, listen to this, that's the real Zakk's voice
I think "The Blessed Hellride", was his best vocal album. "Stoned and Drunk", in particular. LOVE aggressive Zakk vocals!
Gustavo Weber saw him a yr ago in kitchener..was amazing
Zakk has a badass singing voice
