      He was drugged and hypnotized by Yoko. They both believed in the occult. John's plan was to get back with Paul and write songs again, and Yoko didn't want that. She was jealous of Paul.

      You can't really say that with any authority and it's a meaningless comparison anyway. Yoko and John were damaged people in extraordinary situations and Peng was only 22, hardly in a position to deal with them equally, apart from being an employee. Ono for all her shortcomings is a creative person who has had an extraordinary amount of tragedy and trauma to deal with not least which is John's death which she witnessed. Peng is living off the situation OK but she's not the creative genius either. Hard to see who is winning in all of this. Peng wasn't faced with the same traumas so how can we judge who is 'better'? It's immature.

      Everyone’s got their own crosses to bear unbeknownst to others. People can judge based on what character they prefer so I prefer Pang. But Lennon & Ono had in common was parental rejection so they ended up to be not so warm to their own Children however it appeared John was warmer to Sean than with Julian. I don’t consider Ono a creative genius

    • @deborahcurtis1385
      @deborahcurtis1385 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@revrotunda3206 This is so ridiculous. It's not about preferring anyone, or being binary in our views. Or I vote Pang instead of Ono. It's juvenile and absurd.
      Of course people repeat patterns until they find another way. John was at the height of his fame with Julian and his relationship with his ex Cynthia was of course problematic. Fame of that intensity will magnify your faults.
      Lennon has been dead for decades. Why do people go on about what he should have done romantically, as if they're experts on his life? It's got a ring of village gossip; instead of informed discussion about things that matter, and it's none of our business anyway. Make judgements all you like but Ono doesn't HAVE to be a creative genius, Lennon failed to acknowledge her as joint writer of the song Imagine and that's a fact. He admitted he was too much of a male chauvinist to do it. This is also a fact.
      Steely Dan wrote a song 'Only a fool would say that' about the sentiments in Imagine, and FWIW I agree with them. I've always found Imagine to be sentimental and absurd and it seemed to chart forever. However, that doesn't affect my judgement that Ono has been and remains, unfairly treated. She was at the centre of an unpopularity storm that ridiculously blamed her for the breakup of the Beatles. Imagine being at the centre of that? You can't and clearly haven't tried. Even Paul admitted that she wasn't responsible and they would have broken up anyway. Surviving that is some feat. As is witnessing your partner being killed. Then dealing with the intense media storm. You say everyone has crosses to bear but you don't even try to see what is obvious.
      Ono's an interesting person and I feel no need to pile on and dismiss her as necessarily an object of ridicule. Just because I'm pointing out some facts doesn't make me a fan of hers. FGS Just Let Her BE.

    I believe that if John had stayed with May, he would still be alive. Yoko always had a very negative aura around her. She was controlling and narcissistic. She preyed on the loss of John's mother. A typical narc move. That said, May has empathy and love. Something that Yoko never had. Never will.

      Because she did a lot of research. I only did a few days ago and it made me sick at heart for John. Don't forget about the way yo ko treated Julian either.

    • @deborahcurtis1385
      @deborahcurtis1385 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Gaeliclass People peer into others lives but they don't actually know, they surmise. John treated Julian badly and also Cynthia. very badly indeed. He wasn't all light and goodness, he had a dark side well before any involvement with Yoko, who is herself a complex personality. The song Imagine was based largely on her recollections of wandering around after the atom bomb was dropped and decimated her city in Japan, along with her younger brother. They were starving. She suggested they imagine eating wonderful food, and they closed their eyes and imagined it vividly. This took their minds off being starving, it actually worked. John admitted Yoko was really a co-writer of Imagine, but he was too much of a male chauvinist to acknowledge her on the album itself.
      I don't understand the need to pile onto her. She is not perfect but nor are you. People claim to have done a lot of research?
      I think they should try being a bit kinder and more understanding. Nobody is all good or all bad, certainly not Yoko or John for that matter.

    • @Gaeliclass
      @Gaeliclass 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yo ko was from a very wealthy banking family with influence and connections, she may have put out stories to make people feel sorry for her - she was lucky - she was able to get out - many, many others weren't able to.
      I loved John's music however he hurt a lot of people. I don't expect people to be perfect. Did you know Paul's mother died even younger than John's did? He didn't lash out at those he loved. The kicker is how Yo ko isolated John from those who loved him. Julian has grown into a lovely man. Thankfully, Paul helped Julian get through some awful, awful times. They both grew because they worked on themselves.
      Yo ko should have just given Julian the letters he had sent to his father when he was a child. As it was, Paul had to buy them at auctions so he could give them back to Julian. Why? You don't have to be perfect to do the right and moral thing.
      I feel deeply sorry that John went through what he did in his last 10 + years. He had so much potential to continue to be a great artist as well as mature into a more loving person. His death was senseless.
      Some hurt people hurt people - (referring to your reference of what happened in Japan) and others learn and grow.

    • @deborahcurtis1385
      @deborahcurtis1385 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Gaeliclass Effectively, you say you're not judging but you're full of judgement. Paul grew up in a loving family, while John was basically abandoned by his mother and he floated around. You can't say that both Paul and Julian grew because they worked on themselves as if Yoko and John did not.
      I think Yoko was unfairly blamed for the breakup of the Beatles and this really affected her. It's absurd. She was also half out of her mind with grief in the aftermath and there is no time limit on grief.
      I don't say she was perfect, but try to be more evenhanded. The rush to judgement is very much there.
      Wealthy families do not confer emotional security. And the bomb was dropped on her city.
      And John did admit he should have credited Yoko for Imagine.
      Disregard these facts all you like, but I personally do not like pile-ons. They happen far too often on social media.
      The reality is that people feel enormous satisfaction in making judgements about situations they were not in, as if they were there themselves.
      Note that Paul has been quite circumspect these days and has realised what a difficult time of it Yoko had.
      I can't justify her behaviour about the letters, but the reality is that nobody is perfect certainly not you or me. So give the woman a break. She had her life played out in the media and still does. No wonder she is secretive and controlling. Being blamed for the breakup of the Beatles was an unfair and massive load to have to carry.
      Let it Be for God's sake. Paul has.

    Having known people in my life who were in toxic relationships, the fact that she is so casual about being thrown violently against a wall is so sad to me. Just goes to show how much people can excuse abuse when it's from someone they love.

      @deborahcurtis1385 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Well she was very young and inexperienced and John was ultra famous. As she said, he wasn't like that all the time and this is the paradox and the problem. She isn't being causal it's just that it was a very complex situation and she was definitely the least powerful of the 3 of them.

    I am thankful for this woman who I think was the catalyst for some happy times for John once they were back in NY. He became social again and they entertained in their apartment. John went back to Yoko because that's who he was: a flawed, clueless person who made bad decisions. He wrote great songs but his head was full of fantasies that had no reality. He thought Yoko was a genius that the world would one day recognize for all her talents. She was actually a big zero who had nothing to offer. May Pang had more talent in her little finger, and she was beautiful. John made a bad choice because he was an idiot. He didn't even show May Pang the least respect when they broke up. He just dumped her. Truthfully, John would have been better off staying with Cynthia than getting involved with Yoko. Hell, he would have been better off with Brian Epstein than Yoko.

    *This is the truth about Yoko Ono.* Yoko Ono is a powerful witch. She used powerful occult energy, imperceptible to conventional people, to overpower and control John Lennon. The reason why her singing sounds like the wailing of a witch is because she is one. A normal person cannot make this sound, it is impossible. Yoko used to go to witches meetings in New York, driven there by her chauffeur. In Peter Jackson's 'Get Back' she appears to be just quietly sitting in the room, what she is actually doing is training powerful occult energy on John Lennon. A suitably gifted medium, psychic or shaman would be able to perceive this, conventional people would not. The reason why so many dislike her, some intensely, is because they are picking up on what she is. She is very, very with the dark side, or in biblical terms, the satanic side.

      Paul Mccartney was the glue and driving force of the Beatles,
      even Ringo star and George Harrison admitted publicly.
      They stated that they would not have achieved half the work
      they produced if it had not for Paul McCartney being on top of them to work.
