It's insane how people who are extremely good at their craft (music, sports, etc.) always make it look easy. And you just played it effortlessly, I'm amazed!
The part in the movie rockstar where they stop listening mid audition and said well mate……. You want the gig then? If that hasn’t happened yet it should. Been watching a lot of these auditions, front runner right here
I know I put you up in the frontrunner, but the one thing I like about your video is how natural everything looks and sound. No need for fancy production, alternate angles, editing, and lighting like the others. Reminds of Sterling Junkin drum covers video.
I have been drumming for about a year. I was feeling good with my progress. Then a few days ago I open TH-cam up and I am bombarded with dozens and dozens of people playing this shit for an audition and it makes me think....do I even stand a chance? I havent watch an audition for this that wasn't fucking amazing. These people are just so high above it's makes my head hurt thinking about it.
Don't get intimidated, get inspired. Take yourself seriously and give it your best. Even if you don't reach your dreams you will never regret making an effort.
Hes out....dean will be too threatened by his full head of hair. Yea spenc had luscious locks as well but dean wont allow that again lol Amazing audition my guy 🤘
Could you please give some insight on to how on earth you do those extremely fast double kick rolls? I feel like in videos I've seen people heel-toe-ing to basically double their strokes but it still seems impossible to get an articulate set of tuplets at that speed, so I'm super curious how you do it.
How do you do that Rebound Control? I would love to have a close up on your hands during doubles/rolls. Somehow the stick just is bouncing perfectly with what looks like almost, if any, no movement with the fingers! Like, what, how?
Honestly refreshing seeing a submission without triggers and excessive editing. The fact that you can hear some minor mistakes and inconsistencies just gives me so much more respect for you. Great job man!
That's not how triggers work. The bass drum IS triggered, which is why the sound sample is the exact same every hit. For volume/tone consistency. What triggers DON'T do is...make you play consistently in rhythm. Which is why, to your point, you can hear inconsistencies.
@@x0scimy0x I know that bro. For extreme drumming base drum triggers are mandatory. I was talking about triggering the rest of the kit. This allows post editing to snap the samples to the grid like the other submission which the internet tore apart.

Absolutely nailed the snare tone here. Great drumming man!

The whole play through is mesmerising but those switches on the snare were incredible, good luck dude 🤘🏻
Damn, you made that look easy. I wouldn't be shocked if you got the roll!
He got a lot of the rolls in this song. Hopefully he gets the role!
the efficiency is insane lol
Monstrous as always Andy..scary.
I would not be surprised if you were chosen. Same style, same speed, same effortless playing. Good luck man.

Wow you made that seem effortless. That was great! How do you not have more subs?!
Sir, that was a awesome cover! thanks for sharing!
That snare is pure 🔥🔥
Amazing composure. I'd be a fucking mess. And that is a CRISPY snare. Lot of great fills in this song, its not all about speed, I think you nailed it.
Great audition, mate. 🪓🪓😶😶🪓🪓

you have time to prepare for when the next band needs auditions for a new drummer
Dude, these people play for decades since they were kids. Year is nothing, real mastery starts after 10 years of very thorough practice.
That's mah boi! Killed it dude!
Bro I love your snare sound man reminds me of Chris adler snare sound..cool one bro
Hell yeah! Good job man. Love seeing the double gravity blast thrown in there @ 2:02 🙌🏻
Thank ya mane! Learned from the best 🤘
That’s what a snare is supposed to sound like
Technical is there very wild cool bro ..
Nooooooooo you missed the best part, the ride single hit on 3:00, just kidding awesome cover
oh f*k you made me look it up
Good luck!
Nice job!
Sick. 🔥

I remember back in the day when double bass lifted me out of my chair.
I'm routing for you bro.
Great cover, paradiddle blasts, comfy! Now do Chick Corea elektric band - Got a Match!
based
Great technique! A lot of people are trying to one hand the blasts and they are just gonna burnout after a song or two
Hes out....dean will be too threatened by his full head of hair. Yea spenc had luscious locks as well but dean wont allow that again lol
Amazing audition my guy 🤘
Thought you were Krimh Lechner for a second :)
I hope you get it man🫡
Really solid take on a very difficult track. Those blasts were really good; is that a paradiddle sticking on those switches?
It looks like he's doing brrrbllll to me

When your snare is tighter than your asshole, you get that sick rebound!
He can play the drums with his eyes closed
Not quite my tempo

:) the bassdrum is proper trigged. really nice playthrough though!
