      Turning off Screen Time is what I’m testing after I replaced the battery. Screen time monitors every second the activity done on any app leading to more energy drained. I heard that it consumes over 10% more battery by having it turned on.

    Two more things, go to settings > notifications, then set your notifications summary for apps that are not essential for you, it makes notifications less frequent for non essential apps. In the same place, turn off the lock screen notifications for all of the apps, so the screen won't light up whenever you got new notifications

      Yes this is a really great tip! I can’t prove it actually helped with my battery drainage problem (on my older 2 iPhones - especially the original iPhone SE I had that was at 52% for its life left and needed to be connected to the charger to do anything - if it wasn’t charging it would instantly die as soon as I would open an app to do something, but actually stayed charged for quite a long time unplugged as long as I didn’t use it lol) anyways I found that when I changed my wallpaper to a plain solid black for both home and Lock Screen, that the battery seemed to last longer before the phone died haha

I would recommend have at least one general weather app and one that specifically designed for lightning. I suggest finding one that allows you to set a radius (mine allows 2 miles to 200 miles). This allows you to change the radius, depending upon any event that you have going on during the day. I tend to leave mine at about 20 miles out. When I get an alert, I can easily look and see where the lightning has been detected and then check the radar on my other weather app to see if the system is moving toward me or away from me this allows me to make informed decisions on what to do.

    I moved from Android to iPhone. There are things I hate about the iPhone. One thing I would love to see implemented is the ability to lock app icons to their position
    on the screen. Although I know this is a feature, it drives me nuts when I download a new app and it's icon forces other icons to move out of the positions that I put
    them in. When I move an app icon to a new location I don't want it to effect the other icons and cause them to move also. I want to lock them down. This constant "tetris" game with app icons is very frustrating.

      Use a timer to see how long it takes for your phone to charge completely.
      Then drop your phone from the first floor and see how long it takes to charge completely.
      Then drop it from the second floor, and repeat the same process.
      You’ll most likely notice how Battery Life decreases the higher you drop it from.

    I see several people comment on the fact that the Always On Display is just a dimmed version of your Home Screen wallpaper. However if you long press on your home screen to customize, you can set the background color to black, then set to SOLID. You can adjust this completely separate from your Home Screen so that you can keep the wallpaper you know and love but also have a solid black Lock Screen with nice white contrast.

    Just letting you know that we don’t have the Clean Energy Charging option available in Japan, and also do not have the Carbon Analytics option as well. I am assuming that in countries that support it, Apple collects the grid data from power companies to see which grid area has green energy fed into it, and by using your location, they can tell that you are within that clean energy charging grid.

    I have the 14 Pro MAX. The battery capacity is so large I always come home with 50%. I am out walking for most of the day and use streaming apps like SXM or Audacy. If you really want to stretch out the batter use these tips. I think they more important on the smaller 6.1 phone. I had the 13 with the smaller screen and was always fretting about running out of battery life. Browsing, using the camera, Google maps and streaming apps definitely use large quantities of battery life. If you are on vacation and take a lot photos you definitely need the larger phone or a battery pack.

    • @vpking77
      @vpking77 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@YourMother6yrsago I would come home at the end of the day with about 20%. They have improved the streaming radio apps somewhat so they didn't chew up battery capacity.
      I have PressReader on my iPad also my iPhone. You can read actual newspapers just like they were delivered. When I got my iPad Mini. The app was literally shredding the battery. I thought I got a defective iPad. They ran a battery stress test on the Mini saying it was fine. I would get maybe 4 hours of reading time before I had to recharge iPad. PressReader finally resolved the problem. My iPad was fine. The app was just a battery drainer. Now I get 10 hours or more on the Mini.
      Though Apple reviews apps there are still many out there that really drain the battery. The larger 6.7 inch phone can withstand almost any heavy usage.

Now it’s already 98%, after I’ve noticed it was warm inside my pocket, then straight went to look at my battery percentage. I am shocked. I charge my phone just like how I charged my iPhone 12 Pro, which took 1 year with 100% battery life.
