I’m excited to colour in the new revamped version of Fantasy Tiny Homes by RJ Hampson. I recently won the email/newsletter giveaway in RJ Hampson’s colouring competition to celebrate the release of Around the World Colouring Book featuring Mr Fogherty. I chose a new copy of Fantasy Tiny Homes. Thank you Russell, the changes are fabulous and a lot of fun!

I am fairly new to your channel and am so glad I found it. I just love your coloring style, your color choices and your step by step explanation process. Your finished pictures are beautiful. I would be delighted to see you finish this page. I'm also a huge animal lover so am very happy to hear about you and your husband rescuing a very needy animal. Hamish is very lucky to have a loving family now.

I know you said talking and creating is difficult to do at the same time, but you do it very well. I learned a lot from this video, and I enjoyed it. What size set of Inktense do you have? I don’t have any yet and wonder if I could get away with a smaller set.
Thank you so much! I’m glad it was helpful 😊 I have the original 72 set of Inktense (I bought them many years ago). Oddly I had two deep indigo in my set and I’ve often wondered what colour I’m actually missing 🤣 (but not enough to actually track it down). I’ve felt it was enough because I supplement with watercolour pencils if I really feel the need, and if you work with them and a palette you could actually mix your own colours too like a watercolour. If you are unsure, maybe buy a couple in your favourite colours and see if you like them - they are expensive but will last you a very long time. Thanks for watching, Jackie

I'm impressed by your control of the waterbrush.. I'm always wishing for a smaller brush.. the one I use is the Derwent push button in small which is the smallest one I've found but I would be thrilled if they would make one half the size. I've considered trying to trim bristles on one of mine, I have a whole bag full of them I've collected over the years.
I have painted with ink, and it's pretty much the same as watercolor, the biggest difference is they all start from a liquid consistency so you can't reach into dried product for concentrated color, so they can be a bit more difficult to control.. and many separate into various pigments when diluted which gives unexpected results.
Thank you, I do enjoy working with the brush in that manner because of my current working set up, and long ago accepted that watercolour techniques don’t need to be precise. It’s okay to have loose washes and not stay inside lines 😆 Thanks for watching 😊
Oh, let me know if you trim any….I tried with some frayed brushes and did an awful job of it 🤣 They were no good anyway but I had to bin them after I mutilated them 🤪

I found if you wet the led of the pencil like that, when it dried, it became very scratchy to use. Being wet dry, wet dry, isn't good for intense. I won't be doing it that way again. Just my experience..
That’s fair enough, I rarely use Inktense dry because I can’t get the results I like working with them dry, so it’s not that important for me, but I haven’t actually noticed any difference in them. We all have our own preferences when it comes to supplies and working methods 👍

Most likely - I’ve seen others do that in the past, but I don’t own it and I can’t be bothered going to the trouble of doing that (I am a lazy colourist 😁). I’m happy enough to put up with crinkly pages. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it very much. Jackie 😊
