Yes, at 4:32 in this vid is exactly what I do! Let the club go, and it rotates my hands over each other. I do this my just softening or letting my grip go a bit but still holding the club. The club head speed is tremendous because I let go
That's not correct. It's the rolling of the wrists that give you a hook. With this and you will understand: th-cam.com/video/wi3xyG-OQNQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Nf_KspnspzBlORXL
Hi Marcus, just caught up with this video you released a year ago... Sorry I'm late🙂. I have a question for you if you'd be so kind... You mention the trail hand overtakes the lead hand. Sound great, but exactly at what point is this supposed to occur..? Is it slightly before impact, slightly after impact or AT impact. I realise it all happens in a micro second, but it would help me to know your thoughts... Thanks again my friend and a Happy New Year.
Hi Christophe. I will try to explain why I can't give you the exact answer. Depending on grip, ballpostition and the club you are using it will be different and impossible to copy from shot to shot. The ball will tell you. If you get the ball flight you want you are in time. All I can say for sure is that if you want to hit the ball with a downward strike it happens slightly after impact and if you want to hit up it happens slighlty before impact. Ok?
Hi Michael. Mike Austin is/was amazing. I agree with a lot of things that he did teach. If you watch Mike Dunaway I think you find one of the best golf swings of all time. 👍
@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad Marcus, thank you for responding. I've watched all of Austin's videos and Dunaway's as well. When my wife and I lived in Los Ángeles we would go the driving range where Mike Austin was still teaching. He had suffered his stroke by that time and I really had no idea who he was. A missed opportunity. That is why we're so excited to have found you, someone who is saying very similar things. May i ask you about your move that initiated the swing? It appears that you lift the club and get to your toes.
@@mgrassodirector You may ask. 😁 It's a silly habit I picked up during a period when I hit a lot of balls from heavy rough and needs to lift the club to start the swing. I just kept it and it looks a little strange...
That's the golden question. I can tell you what you can do but not how to do it. I feel a throwing/pushing motion but from the beginning it was hard to "find" the feeling that was working best for me. We all need to find the way we need to think and feel to make our body to move the way we want. Keep trying until you find it. 👍
Thank you Marcus. Question on your trail hand actively overtaking the lead hand...are you focusing the force on the plane of the club at a 45 degree angle 📐 towards the ball on the downswing? Where , spatially do you personally feel for driver that your trail hand is overtaking your lead hand.....1 ft before reaching your trail leg...? Also actively releasing the trail hand past the lead hand are you also actively doing this through the impact zone or is it all before impact?
all golfers need to see your videos.... they are wasting time on the wrong moves... so glad I found this channel
Help me spread the word. 👍
Thanks Marcus as always great examples. I guess we all want the 300 yard guarantee to happen in 2021.
Your method is the only one that works for me!
I hear that a lot here at home. I'm just glad to help. 👍
Jack Nicholas would say he would release as early as possible......now I get it....thanks again Marcus
Jack tried to get people to listen, some day maybe they will. 👍

I'm glad you have found something that works for you but I think we can do a lot better than letting go. Have you tried to actively do the release?
Great video, Arm speed and point of release has helped me to hit the ball a lot longer.
Your good bro 👍🏽🏌️♂️what a good golf teacher .
Thanks Carlos, I try to be. 👍
Can you make a new video about hitting it longer next year. Practice advice please. 🙏
That will be in focus during November and December. 👍
I understand what you are saying, but having trouble doing it and making contact with the ball.
If released it too early, it will be a hook. The right timing is critical for each individul. Am I right on this one?

Good morning Marcus. Love your instruction. Much of what you say reminds me of Mike Austin. Do you know who he is?

Another great video.
How do you recommend I increase hand , arm and wrist speed ? Thanks

470.....My dear Barbara thats far
I was younger then. 😜
What flies across the room at 3:35?
I don't know. 😁
Show in slow motion how the hands are working please Sept 2 2023 11:35 CST
It's not slow motion but a whole series about your hands. Watch this: th-cam.com/video/JYJrkN991ac/w-d-xo.htmlsi=opbANva_aBzryzQn
That's what I was looking for. Thanks

Awesome sir! Do you play the ball back in your stance or do you have an open stance. Either way great golf swing.
A little bit of both actually. Thanks. 👍
