When someone like Tu is kind enough to share his personal story, it can really help someone who might be in a struggle, knowing there's a path you can take towards hope.
“We are in heaven, we just don’t see it, but we choose to live in hell based off of our words to ourselves and our views on the world”. Damn this hit me
Holy shit this blew me away. Especially “How can you become the person you wish to be unless you live the life that you wish the live you wish not to live? How can you be brave without fear? How can you be strong unless you were once weak?”
@@mithras666 lol yeah he butchered it up pretty good. What Tu said was "How can you become the person that you wish to be unless you lived a life that you wish not to live?" @1:28:35
I have the utmost respect for Tu, he is an American hero. He walks the path of truth with unshakable strength because of his integrity; a true warrior, a Ronin. Thank you Mulligan Clan for all you do. LOVE & HUGS
I grew up with very similar experiences with racism as an Asian born in America except I had no mentors or discipline growing up. At the age of 60 now I still find great inspiration and wisdom from Tu Lam and his experiences and ability to overcome hatred. I'm grateful how he shares the wisdom and discipline that his parents and uncle gave to him also. Tu Lam has overcome obstacles that very few in this country will ever have to deal with and yet he has risen far above them better than most ever will. Truly a great and inspirational man!
Coming from a military family and putting 14 years in myself, this man….Tu Lam is an absolute inspiration for me. I grew up in a neighborhood that had a lot of refugees from the Vietnam Conflict, they set their roots down and they have flourished…..I still visit their stores and buy their products….. if your uncomfortable….GOOD! Your heading in the right direction!
This video changed my life. Thank you to Tu Lam, for your service, for telling your story, for being a real human being, and for inspiring others to weather the storm. ❤
It reminds me a lot of Thorfinn from Vinland Saga. What a journey! I'm here and the only thing that I can do is admiring the person that has come from all of that stuff. It really is impressive that despite all of that he didn't, somehow, lose his inner faith in a good life. And here he is. Exactly where he was seeking for. My compliments, and all my admiration and thanks. A Big big thanks also to the Mulligan brothers! You give us such beautiful and inspiring stories that give us a lot of tools. This is the Internet that I love and gives me a sense of direction and union with other people that feels life like I do. Really, thank you.
I will never be able to, but would absolutely be ecstatic to spend 96 hours with Tu. Just being in his shadow. Thank you for your heroism, dedication, and sacrifices to the USA, Tu 🫡🙏
Tu, thank you for everything you have done, and do. Your Ronin Tactics videos, your years of selfless service, and your perseverance since a child... they all have lessons that we can ascertain no matter what nation we stem from. In the state of the world today, we all need to be thankful for what we have if we have in the U.S.! Thank you to all service members, ever! 🇺🇸
I do learn a lot today from Tu Lam from his personal life to his point of view of life, abundance wisdom. Thank you to Mulligan Brothers for those priceless contents.
I absolutely love this man , protect this man at all costs. Sincerely, a true warrior begins with compassion, This means a walking living embodiment of what Bushido in samurai values are, there are so many gems in this interview. I'll be following him and you going forward. That said this man, if you follow what he says can change your whole life and mindset.
one of the few interviews, ive ever watched from start to finish even rewinded a few just to really comprehend what tu lam was saying. very grateful to stumble upon this channel
Myself and Tu Lam are LITERALLY the exact same, in every single way. This might as well be me, that's all the same stuff I would have said.. but yet needed to hear, at this exact time in my life by someone I absolutely know FULLY, to the utter most microscopic degree, understands me in every way.. yet.. doesn't even know me. (Yet at least) It's almost like this was specifically made for me.. my life.. and current circumstances. No one else in the world could have conveyed these words in such a deeply connecting, and significant way.. except Tu. Tu was the exact individual who I needed to hear this from. A person on the path I am on, that has also looked death, depression, drugs, misery, and unfortunate realities in the face.. but yet eventually blossomed into such a beautiful human being. My mentor and beacon of hope for so many. Thank you Tu Lam and Mulligan Brothers for making it happen.
As a returned Serviceman myself, I'm curious if you found yourself at the end of your great Military Carer at a loose end as to what to do now that your back in civi street. I get what your saying and understand your message but there aren't many/any jobs for our particular skill set in the wider community. And im wondering if this had any sway in your direction of your present carer? I have read The Five Rings myself and feel that one can accomplish great things after understanding and comprehending the book . But do you think one can only find attachment to Miyamoto's writings if they have a disconnect with society r a sense of hoplessness which makes people take on someone elses purpose in life as there own from a point of being lost so to speak. Thank you Tu Lam, i do enjoy your videos.
3:20 I hardly believe in this story. Uncle Tu, I respect you with my utmost gratitude, for training my mindset, and for being there in my darkest day, I found you thru COD game no shit but, I am hella in love with what you're preaching. I myself am just a poor teenager trying to be a man among lives in my country, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Still, I do have a big love in learning special military knowledges, tactics, historical lessons, and weapons. I learnt Kendo and then Kenjutsu myself since i was 14 15 and 3 years later went to a Martial Arts class to seek my sastisfaction, in beating people haha yes. I did tell everyone that M.A. without colliding is boring. But I cannot spite the Tao, the "Do" in every Arts I learnt. 5 years go on I faced many problems all youngsters would all have and I really want to seek for answers to all of these subductions, started with learning the history of the country. And I am also not a supporter of "my" Party nor any involvements. But I do pose a real high value of patriotism, because I dare to live to serve, I'll fight for people and things I love, I'd rather to be "distinctive" than to stay noble and moved on to no purposes. I really wanted to understand more the Points of View of those historical event you had gone thru your childhood. I do want to unveil more events people have hidden from me since I was being educated in junior/high school level. If you had any podcast about telling stories like this, i'd like to join in and stay for your sharings, even tho it might be somewhat peculiarly, to me (I'll keep it) but I do want more about the source of these rare events/times people had never told me before (No thanks to you Republic of Vietnameses). Thank you Mr.Tu Lam, mad respect, again 🙏
I'm sorry, but truth needs to be told rather the majority likes it or not, but Europeans have inflicted alot of trauma upon black and brown people around the world. Just to let you know, it's okay to accept other people because of their differences without feeling your existence is in jeopardy. You know the school Tu grew up in had to Europeans dominated and even in the military I'm more than sure alot of the same folks made sparky side remarks about him being Ive experiencedit first hand as well being in the military. But let me guess, him giving his account of his experiences and truth is pulling a race card huh? And I bet some naysayers will prove me right by commenting on this video. Luckily the creator of this content seems to be a human of standard to even let this man give his story without being interrupted. So this let's me know all Europeans aren't like this, but it's damn near the majority that are.
He’s the real deal. Green beret and worked with the unit aka delta. Dude is a character on call of duty and co hosted a show on the history channel with Mike Goldberg.
He Asian and studied some shit. He likes philosophy.I remember meeting a green beret to sell him a bass amp a few years ago and he said they used to call the Japanese "the Aryans of Asia." It's the same in China, if you're not Han you're not "PuRe." Let that shit go, man. So what if he's not Japanese. He's just one of those "monkeys" that China sees southeast Asia as in general.
When someone like Tu is kind enough to share his personal story, it can really help someone who might be in a struggle, knowing there's a path you can take towards hope.

Thank you for sharing. It hits home. Honesty layed out, so anyone wishing to be better, can. It comes from within.

He was a green Barett look him up everything is true
