Is there a way to add the files in their places without a zip in any way? Like if i updated my game and added new music, would i be able to have them download to the bgm folder?
Having an issue with this; after loading up the plugin, building the master file in GitHub (or hosting on my own server) the game starts up, shows the updating screen with the version number as per the master file, but nothing else happens no matter how long i leave it. The console shows "Downloading to " but no source or destination.
I have a small problem. If i create a distribution package Excluding unused files, i get the Failed to Load: img/SumRndmDde/auto-update/Background.png... HOWEVER, if I create a Distribution package WITH all the unused files, it works just fine... Any ideas? I know I'm late to the party...... But what happens if you update a game for say, a dlc, like an extra dungeon. And you use this plug-in correctly.... Will people who already have a save file in the game have to start over for the changes to happen? You only showed us starting from the beginning of a game rather than continuing a saved game.
This question can be answered by simple RPG Maker logic. If you add an NPC to a map AFTER saving, will they appear on the map? The map updates will be downloaded presumably, so if it works on an offline project then SURELY it would work here...I can safely confirm THAT works but I discovered an unrelated issue in my game...why do boats shut down ALL other music and can I change it so it doesn't do that?
I'm aware that this is like way too old to be commenting but I'd like to point out that you can just use GitHub to host audio and image and everything else files, and there isn't a set in stone quota for how much data can be uploaded, so long as each individual file isn't ridiculously huge (i.e. you can't upload a zip file but you could upload the contents of it)

If you do get your game on Steam, you wouldn't really need this since Steam has auto-updates. However, if you release your game through a direct download, like Google Drive, then this would help. Encryption simply stops people from taking your resources by encrypting them, people can still play the game normally.

Draw to life - Like magic you can bring your picture or drawings to life whatever you design you can bring to life and you give the image or drawing behaviors from within the game. let's say you want to draw a lamp for your room and you got wizard like magic abilities well just draw it to life! then add behaviors to it! these behaviors can be added through plugins or within the scope in the game. like a catalogue of what you can pick things to draw as a base that you can draw over or import your own image! like a flower vase you select from a catalogue list and into the drawing area you then make your own drawing and the flower vase would already have the behaviors already to it is just a change of images! I don't really know how it would work out for you just giving some ideas here! Request 02: Teleporting around and anywhere like a wizard, I like the ability to teleport anywhere dynamically like a ghost or wizard. A few ways to teleport - limits can be added to each one. Teleport around town to any spot. you will get a grid that pops up and you select what spot in town or area you like to zap to like a bench or front door, or the spot right next to you. Teleport inside places and to any spot in those places. same idea as above but you can teleport to any location in the world and right into another spot that you have previously been to with a dynamic actions such as teleporting right to bed and sleeping, or to the toilet, shower, kitchen. you can also save your favorites spots or places to teleport that you can use and or hold a button down and shows you a list, a list with pictures or a grid base list with pictures of your favorite spot and or locations. Teleport around anyone, anything (like objects, chair, bed, save point etc..) or person that you wish to teleport to and or attack from behind like a vampire. Teleport by running or zapping around and traversing through walls and building or objects or anything. Teleport by using objects, like a machine or car or bike or whatever. Request 03: Computer System within game. great for a futuristic game or something crazy is a having a computer system within the game where you get a mini operating system and with network support and few basic apps, like a calculator, notepad, ms paint, a programing language. there should also be components like usb cables and power plugs, that you can use and connect other devices, or projects. examples: creating a robot in a lab somewhere you program it in the computer and you attach component and cables to it from the computer to the robots and you can give task to follow! such as collect wood, rocks, chop trees, cook, hunt, do your taxes, etc you can create robo pets, that you can use for good or evil purposes. Maybe take this opportunity to make one for wizards types as well like spells and magic something like elder scrolls where you can create monsters and objects out of thin air to do your bidding.

Since I've been encrypting my game via virtual box and turning it into one .EXE file, is it possible to do the auto update or would it still require folders to be explorable for the update files to have easier access?

HAAALP, I deployed a really small game just to test this and it downloads my first 4 versions, (2 of them are for wordpress, just as a test), and the others download map002 and weapons), but anything after that doesn't work? I can't update the game with map002 more than once it seems! pleeeeease if someone sees this, ask questions if you need to. i need this answered

Uhhhhh... not currently, but I can't imagine it being too difficult to create an extension for that. I don't know if enough people would want that though. :0
Well, I would want it for sure! It would make patches a thousand time simpler, since you can have the entire file path for everything in the .zip folder and just have to refer to one single file in your updater!~

You need to manually copy the /SumRndmDde/ folder from the project to the exported game's files.

Don't know its still an issue, but do you have any plugins that affect the startup like splash screens? Try disabling them.

What about stuff that is in data folder that's not JSON? Such as, say Galv's quest text file.
When I export the game, MV left SumRndmDde folder behind, I have to copy manually. I'm using MV 1.3.3, any ideas? :3
