I CANNOT LIVE IN THIS AFRICAN COUNTRY!
Out of all 54 countries in Africa, I have only spent time in Ghana. Aside from the cost of travelling around Africa which can be quite high and. Pretty much equivalent to travelling to Europe or other continents, I have just had no interest in the past to see other African countries partly due to lack of knowledge on what these countries actually looked like. In recent times Africa has been shared in all its glory especially through the internet. I am finally on a journey to explore my first African country outside of Ghana. Come with me.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana, from the Ghanaian food, to the Ghanaian culture, to the Ghanaian lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and help inspire to explore Ghana.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.

I’ve lived in both countries and I can tell you exactly the difference between. If you looking for somewhere calm with peace of mind and security Togo is the best.
Ghana is developed country but depend what you want, Ghana has a lot of pressure with a lot of trafics everywhere and life is very expensive.
You can survive in togo with a little money and also they don’t increase things prices everyday like in Ghana. So visiting both countries is worth it.

    • @nanabrimpong3485
      @nanabrimpong3485 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Prices don't increase everyday in Togo because it's a duty free country unlike Ghana that has import duty and relies on the dollar rate. So when dollar rates goes up prices go up. This is why prices are changed all the time in Ghana because everything is based on the dollar rate.

Hi Ama. I don’t know which side of Lomé you are exploring, but the places I have been to have been nothing but top notch. You should probably link up with some middle class professionals and upper class friends, so they can show you the other side. You won’t be disappointed🤣. I do agree that Ghana is much more developed, but we are getting there.

In my opinion, for a first timer in Lomé, you're staying too far away from the city center. Those areas (where you're staying at) used to be small villages that became part of the city not too long ago (2014). Personally, I think it is very inconvenient. There's nothing there to see. I would have preferred locations such as Nyekonakpoé( not far from aflao border), Dekon, Soted, ablogamé, baguida, avepozo... Somewhere closer to the beach and city center where pretty much everything happens in Lomé.

I think to really enjoy Togo and explore the in and out, the hidden gems, and the must sees, your tour guide needs to be A Togolese. No disrespect to Christelle❤ whatsoever, and I'm a fan of her channel, but she is still exploring Togo through her 3 years living there. She can only show you what she is used to or know. Trust me, a lot happens in Togo 🇹🇬 that even some Togolese are not aware of 😊 and that's a fact.
Anyways, thank you for visiting, and I hope your stay was memorable.

Aw Jasmine, I'm loving this. One of my great-uncles studied in Liberia in the late forties which was rare for Haitians to go that far at the time and recounted to my family a few stories about Liberia, Ghana, Benin and Togo. I'm not sure why but Togo had a lasting impact on him apparently.
Thank you so much for showing us Africa, I don't take those videos for granted at all as I know that it requires time, and money to travel but what a treat for us viewers. I laughed a bit at the man checking the cutlery and every single item in that apartment, that makes me wonder if they are just peculiar or have issues with theft in the area. I can't wait for more🤗

Hello like your videos. But i have a little problem with the video! I'm not even from Togo, but we all Africans, we need to uplift each other. You don't go to one country and comparing them in the video. You can do that when you get back home, or off camera. The media have done that to us for so many centuries. It's time for us to uplift each other, to support each other because we're all the same people ! It was no border before colonisation.

That airbnb was the best one i have ever seen. What area was it located in? Prayerfully our home will be finished by the time we go back next year. If not that seems like it would be nice to stay in. Did it have a water heater to take a hot shower as well?

The ‘strange’ fruit we call it 5 finger/star fruit here in Trinidad. I’m not big on it, by itself, but good in a chow w|other fruits w|spices, sugar & hot pepper.

Togo is a beautiful country, but still has a long way to go. A change in leadership and new ideas would help the country tremendously.

The place where you stayed with christelle is the outskirts zone of LOMÉ (Sogbossito, Legbassito...) if you want to see the vibrant places in lomé, you need to visit places like Baguida, Tokoin, Adidogomè douane, djidjolé, Avédji Limousine, Agbalepedo...

The strange looking fruit is called star fruit. I love it very much due to its vitamin C content but the taste is not for everyone.
