Why so many dislikes? It worked for me. I thought it was a shit video because animation doesn't have anything to do with brightness problem. Then i tried it and surprisingly it fixed the problem.
It is strange. It worked for me. And it like does not works for every third person... Anyway I'm gkad it helped
I can't believe that in 2022 and EMUI 12 they still haven't fixed that bug. The mind boggles. And after that they'll whine that EMUI isn't the immense success they wet their pants with imagining. Geez... Huawei, get your crap act together, please. Or else your descent into tech history's toilet begins to look like it's deserved, actually.

ha thats animation scale thats speed between switching screens and responce time on loading screen ...not display lighting or brightness

Omg we have the same phone and same problem thats why im here wahahaha.
It is kinda working on Mate 20 Lite but what it does now is simply slowly lowering brightness and increasing it once you exit apps. So it's still changing
Unfortunately on some models it helps and on some it doesn't. Try decreasing other animations speeds too

Failed on P30. After a restart the screen goes back to auto adjustment and dim level.

Which animation scale did you selected, 0.5x?
@@unknownname627 Jup I chose 0.5. Thing is: Every animation scale will work, as long as it isn't 0. The bug only happens when you set it to 0

Try turning off Sunlight readability in developer options
My Samsung A20 has the samee problem. When I open some apps or games, a minutes later it will automatically turn black brightness or low brightness even I turned off the adaptive brightness or automatic brightness. I hope someone will help me to fix this isuue ASAP
